I especially like the pace of your video, not too fast or slow just right. I am 65y now. My late father brought me there often when I was very young. I loved all the food since then. Brings back good memories. Thank you for your sharing. Showing the time is a good touch. Great stuff.
I missed the good old days when we travelled all the way from the other side of city just for the curry pork skin Chee Cheong fun. It’s so nostalgic, thank you for sharing the video.
Omg! Thank you for sharing this, it brought back so many memories. Used to go there in the 70’s for supper with my mom and late dad when I was little. My favourite used to be the Chee Cheong fun and the dessert. Don’t know if it’s the same people selling it. The curry Chee Cheong fun that I always remember and still miss and yet to find a similar taste is the one sold in kaki lima opposite where use to be Malaysia Tabacco company in Jalan Sg. Besi . They sell at night only. I think only KL people would remember. I’m in my 50’s now.
This video really brings back the memories. I used to work nearby and right after office hour I will usually stop by to grab dinner. At least twice a week I will visit this street and the food there never fails when it comes to taste.
But alas the food quality has already degraded so much for certain stalls.. due to rising cost sadly. Not being racists but the feeling of being served by foreigners doesn't make it feel authentic any longer..
I like how you add pricing on every item you tried. Many u-Tubers dare not do this. Yes, I like Malaysian hawker food. But I also steer clear of hawkers who charge too much for their food. As of now, Malaysian hawker food is super expensive even comparing with Singapore.
These hawkers who operate from public place which I suppose only pay very little rent to government, yet are charging same prices as those stalls operate from private-owned coffee shops.
Pudu is a foodie heaven but by no means cheap. There is 1 taichau stall right at the end of Wai Sek Kai operated by a Myanmar couple in the evenings...man....their food is just chef's kiss
Thank you for your video, it brought back my childhood memories when I grew up in Jalan Pasar, great food especially the curry chee cheong fun and pork mixture porridge
Same , I am born in Jalan Pasar too , Really recalled back all those memories , Not much changes except the stall opposite the Choy Tow Kueh selling those Fried or Steam big Chuen Kuen and curry Chee Cheong Fun not there anymore.
The alley is full of traditional Chinese foods. I used to visit the place when I stayed in KL but my visiting hour was quite late, as many stalls closed already. Many cities in Malaysia have similar hawker setups near the old-style cinemas. Muar has a gluttonous street to serve five cinema audiences in the old day of the 90s and earlier.
Very stingy with charsiew ! Government has to closely monitor hawkers' prices like Spore because these are the average wage earners go to for their daily meals

The lady pork food stall vendor is so proud of her business. Laminated all their newspaper achievements and dedication over 50 yrs.
Waayuu...kasar sekali bahasa kamu...saya pekerja saja dan saya tak makan babi..

The prawn biscuit is definitely overpriced
@@Gahleon yeah, rm5 a piece is definitely expensive
@@Gahleon That stall is the most expensive. Hahaha

Need to park somewhere and spend a day walking and eating in Pudu.
Thanks Food Hunter - having travel to KL many times I don't know about this place ... all the food look yummy !
You are welcome, glad you like it 🙏
Tai bo noodles rm 9.50 , slightly more expensive, the portion of char siew looks little, ingredients of wanton also looks little..
Expensive
Very stingy with charsiew !
Government has to closely monitor hawkers' prices like Spore because these are the average wage earners go to for their daily meals
what an excellent street name
You guys are great !! I would love to try the bubur .. at the same time so much other food . Thank you from London
Thanks 🙏
Great video, will chk out pudu night market-thks!
Taro cake @ rm 6.00, is quite expensive.... normally we can get from pasar pagi food stall around rm 3.50 to 4.00 for this portion..
Good food
I tried most of the food there. Only the Tai Bu noodle stand out The rest below average & the portion too small & expensive
I agree with you, Tai Bu noodle is something else.
👍👍👍
Bestyttt

Thanks 🙏
Sometimes eat too much fried foods, balance with bubur😊

無四季地方 食味正

Looks like HK in the 80s
All the stall selling overpriced because of many tourists know this places
Once’s in awhile go makan ok
Glutton ? Your English is over the mountain ?
The food standard has dropped.
Wah Steam Egg RM$5 too expensive. Egg cost RM$0.50. RAM$2.80 is reasonable. Cost $0.80 of egg, 1 Tbsp ginger juice, half bowl milk. Earn $2 a bowl
No milk
Yeah , Each bowl only need 2 eggs.
The stall looks dirty and squalid. Don't put it on TH-cam, it degrades.
TOO DIRTY !
