This is Asia, not North America nor Europe. Food handling practices and conditions are not the same. You do realize that most people in Asian countries don't have food allergies like those throughout Western countries. The method of preparation vs the serving of cooked foods are completely separate. There is no cross contamination between raw meat products nor finished end products. Likewise, Asians don't eat salads per se, and usually cook all the vegetables or blanch them. Cooking styles also incorporate high direct heat for deep frying, stir frying, steaming, braising, stewing, slow cooking, BBQing, or very hot soup based dishes or hot pot. Asian cuisines have been around for centuries and a few billion people enjoy it. 😉
I'm Canadian been living in Malaysia for 10 years. I had food poisoning once? Maybe twice my whole stay? If it's fresh, cooked well and eaten right away you are fine. I got more frequent food poisoning in Canada than Malaysia. The food was probably pre-cooked and reheated to be served or the thawing process wasn't done right because the ingredients weren't fresh and needed refrigeration.
if ppl thinkn this is dirty, they are blind. Guy cleans his kitchen floor often, his pots and pans have no stains, his retaurant plates, work area, and cutting boards, are all really clean. I would trust eating from him than half the restaurantas in America.
This guy is like a chicken rice god. Go EARLY like at 5pm and wait for him, watch his performance as he sets up and settles the first round of takeaway orders. It is a spectacle to watch. He takes the orders of all the patrons sitting down, he remembers the ORDER in which you sat down and he remembers exactly what you ordered. He is busy prepping the takeaway orders and can still take new orders AND mentally calculate how much the orders cost. No one is nearly as fast as him. It was worth the wait for his chicken. Authentic chicken rice, delicious chicken, yummy rice porridge. Malaysian foodie-approved! P.S. This video seems to be shot while it was raining and he still had a full house. That says something.
He can win MasterChef hands down in terms of multi-tasking & preparing and cooking so much food...all by himself. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 His cooking pots are so clean with hardly burnt stains on it. He is very strong, too, carrying such a big pot of porridge.
Oh my God. I’m genuinely deeply impressed by the hard work contributed by the owner of this chicken rice stall. God bless him and I’d also like to wish him long lasting success in his business venture.
A rare type of man we've got here, especially in today's world and society! wow This stall used to be my childhood favourite dinner chicken rice which I can eat two pack at least 🤤🤤🤤 But been long time never have it after moved out from setapak 😢
Being a chef, only big concern is that hose, its used to fill pans with water, its then dipped into water with varioys raw products, then back onto dirty floor, then used to cool down hot products before placing back on floor, not once was that hose wiped down or cleaned, this is the biggestvway to contaminate food, plus the only thing that should be on the floor is your feet and nothing else
Cooking area looks very clean, peace of mind eating. I always eat at this place, very neighbourhood type of comfort food. Super smooth chicken and fragrant rice. I absolutely lurrve the thick creamy chicken broth porridge. Yumz! Reminded me to go tmr 😅
Asian chickens and american chickens are soooo different. The hormones and whatnot used on chicken farms in the US produce the blandest chicken i've ever tasted.
thats why i thought also...chicken rice min already rm7...plus got porridge somemore...i also want to know..how you come out to a total of rm23...very misleading.
Preparing food on the floor is actually prohibited in many countries. It is not hygienic. Also look at his legs. They are covered with scabs. Eeewwwww😬

Put the food to be cut on your left side, then proceed to cut each piece without having to cross your hands to pickup. It means he should have left the whole pieces on the left side. So this cook is not very smart. common sense. @@So_Yummie

The rice water should not be wasted....water and fertilizer for the vegetable garden or fruit trees.
Yummy
A very passionate chief. My compliments to him, the chief.

anyone who has been there before, can you tell if he uses margarine for the chicken rice?
This is the actual way of cooking chicken rice cos the same sat hylamnese ppl cooking hylamnese chicken rice 👍👍👍 yummy 😋
The secret to good Hainan chicken rice (to me), is the chilli sauce that comes with it.
That’s sad! It should be good without the need for additional sauces that’s what makes a good cooking!
Rm7 chicken breast rice and rm4 bean sprouts, big portion, great value
He have good physical health to do all these by himself.
And selling also not easy to cope .
WHOO! that Hainanese chicken looks gewd!

The weather must be humid. The guy is sweating like anything.
He was having a panic attack
Everything on table rm23 but venegar pork alone already rm20 base on the price list .
U very observant 😄
I ordered smaller portion that cost RM12.
If RM20 it's 4 piece if I m not mistaken.
Bon appetit!

i've tried it once, rice is nice, but the chicken, not for me, i prefer cooked chicken (well done).

Every order would be
Chicken
Or chicken and liver
Sometimes eggs.

is this a proper kitchen or makeshift one?🙄 the floor is wet and prone to accidents.
home cooking. its dangerous, sandals, slippery tiles
This practice can easily contaminate food ... food safety no pots and pots on the floor.
This is Malaysian hawker food style. They do the major cooking at home then bring the food to the roadside store.
then u cook yourself eat at home..hahaa@@andetyb4488

Some are smarter, hiring cheaper Myanmar workers to do the labour intensive work ( prep work) and only show up to do chopping and final cooking.
Indeed..🥰
I wonder what is his favorite food?
No idea man 😆
Why he didnt hire more assistant?just for preparing the ingrediants!he is capable right with money he got from big sales hes doing?😮😢

the chickens r literally just boiled?
Poached.
usually there are condiments to go with, like chili, dark soy sauce, finely chopped ginger, not to forget the flavors from the rice.
one man job? impossible !
Steamed chicken is healthier than fried or Roast
Exactly not in America
Ha?
Don't they have sinks and work benches? Why are all the ingredients on the floor? Isn't that very unsanitary.
