    // IMPORTANT
    I teach using just one of many accents in the world. Please only learn it if you like it and if you are interested in learning it. I do not believe there is one “correct” accent or manner of pronunciation and I fully encourage EFL/ESL learners to expose themselves to as many varieties of English around the world to become accustomed to the beautiful variations of this world language. I focus mostly on teaching “Modern RP” (I may just say “RP” in my older videos, but to clarify, I do specifically mean “Modern RP”), however, you will hear a lovely little Yorkshire twang to my accent from time to time too. Please LOVE and BE PROUD of your accent. After all, it is part of your identity and makes you unique. 💚

      @@NoirL.A. I'm an Argentinian English teacher. British RP has always been the standard taught in Argentina's educational system; General American wasn't taught until well into the eighties, with the exception of business correspondence and vocabulary in contrast. My accent is RP and, even though there are teachers in Argentina who have a GA accent because it's the one they learnt when they were children/teenagers, it isn't the model in Teacher Training Institutes and university careers such as the BA in English. It's true that there's more exposure to GA through media and that younger generations tend to adopt that accent but, due to our very old historical ties with the UK and our love affair with everything-Europe, RP still reigns at school. In fact, it's something that American exchange students and Americans in general find extremely surprising when they visit our country.

También hablo español y dijo que la diferencia entre el inglés británico y el inglés americano es mucho mayor que entre los diferentes acentos en español y estoy seguro de que estoy de acuerdo con eso.

      @@NoirL.A. As I said before, unlike the rest of the American countries, Argentina has always looked up to Europe rather than to the Panamerican region. Your friend must have studied GA not at school but at some private institute that began teaching the accent in the late 80s or 90s. As regards Spanish accents, I would equate the phonetic and dialectal divergence of European Spanish and River Plate Spanish, for example, to that between RP and GA. I can assure you that we also find certain Spanish accents tricky to follow.

    It's funny to realize that even though I'm learning English, it is an American accent, so if I ever need to communicate with a British speaker, I will run into trouble as we won't understand each other. Paying attention to types of pronunciation in each word should be a starter. Then, how they occasionally sound differently in a phrase under influences of other words in front/behind should follow. Much to do, much to show us novices! Thank you!

There are so many British accents that it’s hard to pinpoint one. I actually don’t know any Europeans, other than Brits, who speak with a real British accent of any kind. I enjoy good english accent. It tastes like a good cup of tea. And thank you too for the subtleties. You are doing a good job, because foreigners are often Lost with true british sounds. Thank you.
