❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you Lucy 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
3:49 that Siri face is... special! 🤣
I like the way how Lucy pronounces words in American English. True Talent:)
Pronunciation
As a non-native English speaker who [tries to] speak in American English, I really like this kind of videos to compare the accents, thank you!
You can’t get a date with her.
I am a Linguist myself. I learnt a lot during the years following this channel! Thanks teacher
Same here❤
Linguistics degrees must have gone to pot.
@@baronmeduse pot is better than what you think 😁
@@baronmeduse and I have another degree in telecoms engineering. Any problem mate? 😉
@@baronmeduse plus I play the drums. Like and subscribe 😬
I love the British accent and I try to mantain it. It is much more elegant than the American one. Thank you so much for this excellent lesson.
I've been subscribed since 2016 when I was at high school and I must say you're one of the best teachers I've ever had! 💖
I just love your consistency in dishing out these lessons. Thanks Lucy!
I've been following for about 4yrs now and I must say, I've noticed some considerable improvement in my general knowledge and understanding of the English language and culture.
You're doing a fantastic job. Cheers!
What a beautiful comment! Thank you SO much!
Anytime! 😊
You’re so kind.

Hi
I appreciate the effort you put into teaching us the minors of your culture. Thank you. God bless you, Lucy!
I can always understand all words you speak, Lucy! A beautiful English is always better comprehended!
I discovered your channel quite a while (years?) ago, and I am very glad to see that your business seems flourishing. You really deserve it, the content is so helpful for us! (I am french) Your pronounciation is a real delight. Thanks a lot.
God knows I love Lucy’s lessons! Short and concise and precise! Love it!
it's amazing how much of effort you put in all the lessons... I've been following your channel. Keep up the good work and thank you for all the knowledge you're imparting.
Congratulations to you my lovely teacher Lucy! I admire your psychology of teaching!
As a non-native English speaker, started with Linguaphone, then FollowMe, and then New Concept English, quite familiar with British English many years ago… now I speak American English but Lucy’s British English accent still sounds lovely to me!😊 Honestly, what she teaches is very practical👍.
By following your TH-cam channel now I feel so comfortable in pronunciation. Although I don't have great vocabulary everyone admire when I speak hence the way I am speaking.
Please do more videos like this. Great job! ❤🎉🎉😊
As a non-native but as a professional linguist and, more importantly, a teacher of English, I often work with students who ask me to tell them about the main pronunciation differences between BrE and AmE. Lucy's pronouncing simple words with the two main accents of English looks pretty much the same as the thing I do at my classes, with the explanations and descriptions of the sounds being quite similar, too.
i like your dp
The word linguist contains the letter "n" after the first "i". A "professional" would know how to spell it correctly.
@@user-sh2vq2hp3c It's obvious that it was just a typo, isn't it? Anyway, thank you for paying so much attention to what I wrote.
Always a pleasure, listening to your lessons. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
From 2019😊 till today I've been with you and learnt a lot off deep knowledge about English language consistently getting more and more new things 😊 Hats off 👏to the way you explain 😊 Love 💞 from INDIA 😊 🙏 thanks 🙏 😊 a lot miss.Lucy 😊

Many thanks for this great lesson Lucy! I especially like the comparison with AE, the tongue/teeth/lip pictures and that you provide the phonemic orthography. That's really helpful :)
Thank you for your generosity!❤
I'm subscribed since in high school it makes 5years ago and at the while I'm in English department... I dwell in Gabon and I'm Gabonese I love you 🇬🇦

Your blank expression while imitating Siri was phenomenal 😂 And as an American linguaphile, I think that your American accent is quite good! Thank you for creating these videos - I find them invaluable as I work to teach modern RP to my eight-year-old child, for an upcoming role in the stage musical 'Matilda'.
Thank you for today's lesson

Thank you so much Lucy. I love Modern RP.
❤ I salute your best lessons! Kudos!
I am thanking you a lot for this video which helped me to make a right choice of the learning English. This is very important to me. So I got in time that I was studying but as I see now it was just an American English which is NOT my favourite. I thought they help us to study the British English as they TELL about British English in their platform BUT
your videos helped me to SEE this difference in time and to make my choice. Thank you again and again. Sending my greetings from Ukraine /Lviv city/. Thanks a lot 🙏🌹📖👌
I absolutely love your accent. I could spend hours just listening to you. Reminds me of how princess Diana used to speak
In moonlit gaze, Lucy's eyes tell tales,
Whispers of dreams, where love prevails.
Silent heartbeats, a dance untold,
In shy glances, emotions unfold.😊🤭
lovely rhymes
todays lesson was just so amazing thank you so much
Fascinating. The dropping of sounds.

It's a pleasure to hear your pronunciation

As a born and bred American, I must say that your American accent is quite good!
I'm russian ,married to English man, not British man. If u wanna help people keep it simple,.it's so many dialects in Great Britain they how to discover themselves. It's taking me more than 15 years I'm still studying. Good luck
Bred American 🤤
I loved it! I am Canadian, so my English accent is not very good (especially since I've got my orthodontic appliance), but I love British accent! This video helped me a lot to improve my accent! Thank you! 🤓
I have never heard of Modern RP but i love your accent and am discovering that I talk closer to modern RP as a South african.😊
This is brilliant. I now understand why the Boston accent does not pronounce their R’s! Many thanks from the states.
This is interesting. I’ve learnt. Thank you ma’am
Excellent. Thanks. I must perfect my pronunciation.
This is a simple yet comprehensive lesson any beginner will find helpful.
Great job, Lucy, and-PS-you're pretty too! 👍🏿
Thank you for the helpful video. I have been living in the UK for two years now, I think in metropolitan cities of the UK the Asians, South Asian, Arabs, Eastern Europeans, and the Mediterranean who live in the UK have had adopted a different pronunciation style in addition to the Native Speakers varies in pronunciation which make it a bit confusing, sometimes. Thank you.
Thank You Very Much, Lycy! Your Kindness...

Fantastic lesson ma'am
Great teacher ever❤❤❤❤
I loved this one.
Thank you teacher 😊
Ohh thank u my lovely tutor Lucy❤
Even though I am learning American accent,, nonetheless I'm following you on the TH-cam,, cause all the time you bringing us new vocabulary specially I follow you for powerful adjective. Despite I'm getting into American accent,,
Great job with the American accent, Lucy! Your students might be confused when they hear the non-rhotic American accents like in Boston, New York, and my New Orleans. We don’t pronounce the “R’s” found in the names of our own cities, so they end up sounding like New Awlins and New Yawk. It’s impossible to write it out exactly like it’s pronounced in these accents though. Great video!
Thank you for your lesson
Excellent lesson
