As a non-native but as a professional linguist and, more importantly, a teacher of English, I often work with students who ask me to tell them about the main pronunciation differences between BrE and AmE. Lucy's pronouncing simple words with the two main accents of English looks pretty much the same as the thing I do at my classes, with the explanations and descriptions of the sounds being quite similar, too.

Great job with the American accent, Lucy! Your students might be confused when they hear the non-rhotic American accents like in Boston, New York, and my New Orleans. We don’t pronounce the “R’s” found in the names of our own cities, so they end up sounding like New Awlins and New Yawk. It’s impossible to write it out exactly like it’s pronounced in these accents though. Great video!

I had an English roommate once upon a time, and he and I had great fun comparing pronunciations of words and going back and forth between Webster's and the OED. His pronunciation of corollary, with the accent on the second syllable, where I'd put it on the first, nearly broke my jaw. No, just kidding. Your work is marvelous. Carry on!
