How to neutralize heat of spice: 1. Always adjust spice as per your taste. 2. Add chili (cut in small pieces) initially in hot oil or you can simply avoid chili while using mustard oil for cooking. 3.Use Dahi (made of milk) or mixture of Dahi-Pudina for cooling effect (to neutralize heat of spice) with north indian food. 4. Use coconut milk (add it during cooking) for cooling effect in south indian dishes. Watch some indian youtube channel (Home-cooking style). 5. In case of vegan, heat of spice can also be reduce by vegan cream, vegetable oil, something with citrus (lemon juise) etc. 6. Use Daal for protean intake. 7. The mixture of Daal-rice or Rajma (needed to be cooked intelligently)-rice is excellent.
Great idea for a video!! Featuring “authentic” youtubers from the culture, and following their directions. They want people to cook their recipes. But you put them up there, not just rip off their stuff. Loved it.
rainbow plant life also has a lot of indian vegan dishes because she’s indian so shes veganised so many traditional indian dishes! and she even has her non vegan indian parents taste test and they’re honest thats the true test lol
The vegetable korma looked delicious! Can you do a video dedicated to Ethiopian cuisine? It’s so incredibly flavorful, and easy to eat vegan or plant-based.
Oooh most awaited video. Love it ❤️ Tip - For the pakoras, you can just rest the veggies in the chickpea flour with some salt and all the same spices from the recipe in it. The flour sticks to the veggies because of the veggies sweating and that way you don’t have to add a lot of water. Makes the pakoras really crispy 😍
This series is awesome! I love how you give the spotlight to other content creators while also showing respect by crediting people from certain cultures who share authentic recipes 🙌
My boyfriend is indian and almost everything is already vegan🤩 dal tarka, samosa, pakora, aloo tikki, pani purri, eggplant curry, there’s even a nutri curry that’s made of soy chunks it’s literally the best thing I’ve ever had!
There is no vegan concept in Indian culture but surprisingly there are many recipes that are already vegan and also most of vegetarian dish can be made vegan easily.
Love that you guys did this video! It was so great to watch! Also aloo parathas haveeee to be served with yoghurt 😍 and I'd highly recommend finding a less spicy mango pickle (achaar) because it's superrrrrrrr good with all Indian food!
Thanks so much for this great video! I love Indian food but could never figure out what to try to cook. Great ideas and I appreciate all the hard work you put into this!
You should get some cegan unsweetened yogurt (i like to add himalayan pink salt to it) and dip the paratha in in. It counters the spice. The mango pickle (i couldnt see it but guessing) is raw mango and I absolutely love it. Ofcourse, plenty of sweet mango pickle to. My grandma used to make sweet pickle with gur(jaggery).
7:14 Definitely, potato+bread is such a comforting combo! And I suppose not without reason she suggested some coconut yoghurt with it :D Perfect for cooling down that spice!
First of all, I love how you are featuring other content creators in this series, what a great idea! There are so many talented and knowledgable creators out there, this is a great way to experience new people and new food. Also, I absolutely love all of the Indian food that I have tried, and I can't wait to try out these recipes as well, you're definitely selling it (except for Chris' 20 out of 100 review ;P). I agree that Indian cuisine is very spice-forward and flavourful and I absolutely love it! I am loving this series! :)
I love this series! You guys did an amazing job 😍 I'm Indian but don't have a lot of experience with the specific recipes you made so I'm excited to try them out and impress my family 😂
Chris & Jasmine...Loving your world cooking series! In North India where Aloo Paratha is very popularly eaten as a Sunday morning breakfast, they have it with plain yogurt sometimes garnished with salt + red chili powder or chaat masala (you can get that from Indian store).
you can also eat aloo paratha with butter vegan butter or you can put vegan cheese on the top of the aloo paratha to calm down the spice You can also put only cauliflower or only spinich in the pakoda batter or use just onions if you add just onions you don't have to add too much of water in batter
Chris: I could eat this every day! Also Chris: 20 out of 100 🤔 Haha. Must be so out of this world we forget in the moment. Everything looks delicious! Thank you guys. 🥰😋
I do this in a slightly different way. I mix the potato, seasoning and spices with the dough ( Like a Gnocchi). Then I roll it into a paratha and cook it on a skillet and apply some butter or Ghee.
So my second eldest daughter is called Jasmine. My second eldest son is called Chris so this is like watching family. Plus half my kids are vegetarian along with myself so this is going to be so much fun.
I think most people have only made a few westernized Indian recipes and since I am one of them, I am always happy to learn more as I am honestly in love with this flavourful and aromatic cuisine! Plus, as always, I adore the cooperation aspect of this series - makes each and every video so unique! . Anyways, sending you lots and lots of love guys! Stay safe and have a lovely rest of the week!
I only found your channel. I love you guys. It feels honest. Also, Indians are very flexible. Make our food with the spice level that you can enjoy... Just enjoy food. That's the whole point..
We don’t normally eat mango pickle in those huge chunks, you can cut/smash them into smaller pieces :) Also alu paratha is great with tamarind chutney if you’d rather have something less spicy
Lovely video! Next time you make Aloo Paratha, add some chopped onions to the potato mixture, it really bumps up the flavor 😁💚 Also is you cook down a few tomatoes with ginger garlic paste, fresh corriander, cumin, turmeric, black seed, salt and sugar, it makes a great chutney to go with it!
Love this series.. they are all so interesting . I'm not sure what cuisine to suggest. maybe some authentic African. I'd suggest Cuban but i think that would be kinda hard to Veganise.. how about some Scandanavian cuisine?
Great video! I am trying to introduce my kids to more recipes from different cultures (all vegan, of course 🙂), and this was an inspiring reminder of things we sometimes overlook. Thanks! Long time subscriber, so I am always grateful for all of the hard work that you both put into your vids. ❤️
Such a great idea! And all the Indian recipes looked delicious 🤤 As a Brazilian, I’d like to recommend Marília Archangelo (@mariliaarchangelo), Leonardo Kazuya (@roledevegano), Carol Mussi (@mussinha_carol) and Guilherme Lima (@veggui). They are amazing! Brazilian food is delicious and honestly I’m tired of people thinking Brazilian food only consists of what is served in steakhouses 😑. Our cuisine has so much more to offer!

But it makes me so sad to see Jasmine suffer! Just cut back on the chili’s. It’s fine.
Vegan Richa has so many vegan Indian recipes on her site, as well as a whole cook book dedicated to vegan Indian food. She's amazing.

I’m half Indian and you all did a great job. I eat my aloo paratha with a yogurt sauce.
