When that visor flipped down you can see it In the eyes how pumped he was😂 bro they make a fan you can slap.on that bad boy to keep you cool. Will be very useful in the land down under!
I’m going to buy it just so I feel like a pilot
I like the part where when you bend over the hard hat down not fall off even without the chin strap. I have the other Milwaukee & Kline hard hat and they both fall off your head.
Good video and thanks for the demonstration. I am going to have to look into this
A customizable hard hat. Very cool.
I recon Milwaukee took inspiration from petzl’s vertex helmet range. The helmet accessories look pretty similar if you’re comparing the two.
Looks the goods mate , everything just works .
Exactly mate! I love a system that just works👌
I got the protos with sena communication , linked to my phone , so i can answer it while im climbing a tree ,while i listen to music , it comes with the ear muffs and face shield , lights i wear around my shoulders , but i can mount a light on a clip that they make for it for a camera ..
I love shit like this but I would be laughed off site if I rocked up with that on.
The blokes laughing will be the sorry ones when shit turns south
I preordered the Bolt 100 vented hard hat because I wasn’t keen on the chin straps. It fits really nicely. I also got the tinted visor for outside work. So far I’m impressed with it. You’re right though milwaukee can be hit and miss outside of power tools.
Tinted visor is perfect for having a perve !!
Thanks for the feedback mate. Glad you’ve liked it.
Your shed has more tools than total tools,,Sydney tools and Bunnings combined😮
Does that work with glasses ? I wear those and the normal screen seems very tight to the face ( it should be ) and I was wondering if that would work.
you have to add Milwaukee's head light to that Helmet
What’s the weight like?
I currently run a petzel vertex helmet as I do a lot of climbing work, I used to use a Kong (Italian brand) before that and both are good but price wise are both higher then the Milwaukee one it seems
I run the Petzl vertex vented hard hat as across the ditch here a lot of the commercial builders are now requiring the climbers hard hats with chin straps to be warm at all times. I love it. It’s comfy and good. You can get the visors and a few other accessories for it similar to the Milwaukee one. Milwaukee seems to have run a better eco system for their stuff though as the half visor would interfere with the head lamp and doesn’t sit snug to your face. The full face shields though are the same deal. Can only run it with just that on there and need a pair of safety glasses underneath. It’s looking like this will be more and more the norm now as it’s been rumoured that worksafe are soon to mandate that specific standard and higher as the only types of hardhats allowed on sites. Which is good but going to be costly as my petzl retails for about $210 NZD at the suppliers
I’m a tree worker I’ve ran the Petzl before and it does the job, but i now run the Kask Spire and I feel like it’s a lot more comfortable … slightly heavier, but once you’ve got earmuffs and visor, it’s not noticeable
Cheers for the info mate. It will be interesting to see what happens if they become mandatory. Definitely a large price difference.
I feel like I have to try some of these other brands now. It was an area I wasn’t very aware of. Thanks for the feedback about the other brands
@@AddictedtoTools petzl and kask are both originally rock climbing helmets. The kask one is sold as a husqvarna helmet too.
Whilst your at it you might want to check out the Protos integral ... it's seen as the Rolls-Royce in terms of arborist helmets
I ordered de clear, tinted and mirrored visors 😅
I don’t have to wear hard hats anymore but if I did this would be the way I’d go it looks and works great. I’d like to hear your thoughts a few weeks down the track
Thanks for the feedback Bradley. I’ve worn it all week so far. I’ll believe I can get the hard hat version now, so I’ll do another update video in a few weeks.
My only concern is the added weight from all the attachments, some of my sites don't require hard hats and going in between - even with the standard hat - I notice the extra load on the neck by the end of the day. System looks great but check back in a month and follow up if your neck gets stiff 😂
The set up I have on my lid is just under a kilo and my necks fine that’s goggles and ear defenders that’s not the bolt system thou just takes some getting use to
Will you be uploading a video after a few weeks of use? Keen to buy one here in the UK depending on your opinion as my company provides hard hat, safety glasses and ear protection.
Class video as always mate been watching you through my apprenticeship, come May ill be a year passed out 👍
Thanks John. I appreciate the feedback. I’ll definitely do an update in a few weeks. I’ve worn it all week so far and I’m loving it: I’m getting the other hard hat this week also so I’ll show that as well.
Can you still wear glasses with eye shield?
PPE Baby!!!
Great video
Cheers mate 👍
Would prefer Peltor ear muffs but otherwise it looks good!
Looks like it would hold way more heat then the classic 6 point he showed
I think the Australian requirment is to replace the hard hat every 3/ Three years.
Same in NZ, unless you have a peltor helmet which is good for 10 years
it's NZ, nobody cares@@eamonstynes440
@@eamonstynes440it’s Helmet material dependent
Some cases builders require it every 6 months.
Same in the states
Never thought I'd want a hard hat
😂😂😂
They are stupid. Everyone I work with prefers are old hardhats. Unfortunately they made these mandatory.
Actually, milwaukee teamed up with an American company called bolt to design the system
nothing like looking like commander Keen with all that gear on 😆
Aha showing your age on that reference. I haven’t played that game in alone time 😂
@@AddictedtoTools you and me both, it was a good game too
Addicted to milly walk yee maybe, dont forget if its vented its NOT...NOT... arc proof
it looks amazing and ive heard only good things. Is it $400 amazing however.... the accessory prices are crazy! (earmuffs justifiable)
I brought one as soon as they were released in nz. Mainly because of the visor and head light combo. I mainly wear it at night when climbing power poles. I wear glasses so I hate any type of safety glasses. This fits the job perfectly. It’s a bit heavier than what I did have with the original Milwaukee hard hat light. This one is far better balanced as the batter for the head light is at the back.
Thanks for the feedback Mitchell. Do you wear glasses under the visor?
$500 for a hard hat and some accessories😵 tool company’s are honestly taking the piss out of us these days
Hey mate. The normal price for a helmet(not hard hat) is around 150-200. I feel the accessories are reasonable as they are similar to what you pay singularly. So if you bought a normal helmet, glasses, ear protection and visor it would be a similar price
If you are after the hard hat version it’s $45
Most climbing helmets are in this price range once you include accessories. You’ll be paying close to $250 for a Kask Zenith or top of the line Petzl helmet.
@@AddictedtoTools in the UK, you can get a HSE Approved helmet for about £8 (probably $13AUD) glasses ear defenders ect get them all around the £5-10 mark, honestly I can see where your coming from but even strap helmets in the UK you can grab one for about £25 !
Helmet or hard hat? The hard hats are very cheap. I doubt you can get an actual class 2 helmet for that much
Still nobody making a good battery powered cooling fan?
Red till dead 🤙
Why? Ibew gives ppe for free. Includes headlight
Why what?
Zero stock in Australia
I was told today buy the total tools guys that the rep from Milwaukee took all the stuff back as they can’t supply these
Wait what? You’re the 3rd person to bring this up. Is there a recall?
Haha hillarious probably didn't comply to Aus standards.
It does and is being sold on shelves at the moment. I haven’t found any recall
Oim excoited
Don’t waste your money on the fan. You can not hardly feel the air. My other Co workers tried them as well and they went into the TRASH!
I’m pretty sure as an electrician you can’t have a vented hard hat.
Hey mate. That’s interesting. I can’t say I’ve heard that but I’m also not that aware of these topics. Why would that be the case? Thanks
When I picked up my kask last year I did a lot of research, I found out that some trades can’t have a vented hard hat. I have seen some guys with Klein hard hats with vents, but they have a slide inside that closes off the vent.
The vents are what stopped me from doing the full kit like in this video.
Love the glasses
Im an electrician in colorado with sturgeon electric & the whole company switched to these Milwaukee style hardats
What a wank, $180 for a fucking helmet that's worth $30 maximum. Milwaukee were taking the piss before now it's worse than ever.
Hey mate, why does that make myself a wank? I’m not sure if you’re aware, but helmets cost that much. Hard hats are $30. They are different equipment
No one's thrilled about wearing these.
