Welcome back! Today we're back with Adam from Vancity Audi. Instead of diving into his insane 780+HP Audi RS3 once more, we're driving his 10-second daily-driven supercharged Audi S4. Upon first impression it screams (literally) Passat, but that all quickly disappears once you hit the throttle and that scream transitions into a piercing supercharger whine from under the hood. I drive a C7 A6 with the same engine. Absolutely go for it, any of these cars with this engine are a blast to drive

If s4s are a but expensive and you want a better interior that's only one gen behind do what I did get an a6 with the exact same motor and the exact same mods. Absolutely love this thing and it's even more of a sleeper

Good to see this car in its final form, I followed Adam from the early RS3 days but by the time he got the S4 he had become rather arrogant and wasn’t the same guy to watch or interact with.

Just curious how much you spent on parts to get over the 500hp mark, because I'm interested in doing something similar to my 2012 S4, but kinda limited on cash?!?
Nothing wrong with any kind of racing. I'm really envious. A week ago. I was heading to the bank to get the money to get my plates renewed. On my 1992 Audi UrS4. A young girl blew the red light. Totalled by State Farm Insurance. For the whopping sum of $2900.00🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️😟😟😟😟😟. The engine was totally rebuilt. But enough wining. That's a Beautiful S4!

B8 S4 is my favorite S4
I definitely miss my Audi A4 B5...I have 3 VWs tho.
The interior is definitely aging, I drive an ole school Audi B5 and I think interior aged a bit better than the B8. Also, I still think 10 sec cars trapping 125-130mph in quarter are fast. There are to many bench racers online that never experienced it.
hmm i dunno about that. B8 interior has aged some but IMO it's still very nice looking and doesn't look too outdated. i also did add an aftermarket Android screen so that did help modernize it.
@@shawonr3325 That's cool you can update the screen on the interiors. I always thought that was a permanent addition to the car.

Remove the Passat logo from the back, put on nice 18" wheels (O.Z. Racing) or Vossen at least, remove the front license plate and put it behind the front screen (shield)...LOL, put on the original chrome Audi badge on the front grill and put on S4 badges on front and rear.... And you will see the difference!!! Now watch this video... That is what should it look... DTM Champion 2011 Audi A4 DTM (Walkaround@Essen Motor Show).... 1:09 seconds...

People may not think a 10-second car is quick anymore like you said but dollars to donuts it's a lot quicker than what they're driving and what they're used to.

I play the field, what can I say?
Having owned (9) modified Audi’s and watching your hands in this video… you have to purposely snap oversteer these cars heading into a corner. Or yes they do understeer. You have to lean to throw them into a corner. (I get this is not your car)… just a post for any other Audi owner that wants/ needs knowledge….Most of your videos focus on a straight line. And that doesn’t matter to me or many car enthusiast. It’s the driving experience in general. That said thing is my current C43 AMG would smoke an S4 on a track. And the reason it bothers me is I am an Audi fan through and through. I just wanted to test the waters with something else.
I would take the B8 Audi 3.0l Supercharged over the newer more powerful 2.9l V6 single turbo anyday.
5:50 I thought electro-mech steering came out on the B8.5 and was not on the B8. No?
You are correct. This was the last year of the hydraulic steering.
@@VancityAudi thought so, but wasn't 100% sure. I've been wanting to pick up one of these for a while... white on red no less. Great choice on the wheels. Folks don't give enough attention to lightweight wheels, but you get it. Nice clean bolt on build. Very nice.

I spoke with the guys in Salt Lake (IntEng) when I was putting together my build sheet two years ago and feel the same way about their tune(s) and products as you do; first rate. Unfortunately, i had to put those plans on the back burner when covid hit and my elderly mother had a stroke. Had to sell all the toys (except a gen1 yami FZ1 with 151rwhp@5000' asl), close my covid-struggling business and move from beautiful ski-city SLC, Utah to Jersey to assist with elderly family. Honestly, i wish i could pull the trigger, fly out to BC (take a few runs at Whistler), and roadtrip back east in a new-to-me perfect Super-S ahem, Passat, but with looming medical bills, fun and excitement must take a backseat to financial responsibilities. Maybe once the bills come in and i get a handle on how much her medical costs will be, then at that time i can start looking again. If circumstances and obligations were different, I'd love to give your S a home for the next decade! You could even visit her on trips to NY! My current A4 has treated me well for years and many many miles. I've studied every dyno and built sheet of different combinations I could find and, my godness, your car is it. I'm hoping to have a handle on things over the next two months or so, so... if it's still available then... thanks man. All the best.

I just bought an 2018 s4 but it has an apr tune any one knows how to tell what stage
Probably stage 1, unless it has downpipes. They wont tune APR past stage 1 without downpipes.
Reach out to your local APR dealer with your VIN. They'll be able to tell you what the car has in terms of the tune it is running.

I am simply joking around and messing with people that try to race me by tossing on a Passat badge and removing the Audi rings and the S4 badge. Passat and Jetta are exclusive to VW cars in North America as well but I tossed on that badge as a troll so when I beat cars in a race they think they got beat by a Passat and not an Audi S4. Make more sense now?

I save my "dragstrip" experience for the front and back straight of a circuit. Anyone can mash a throttle and keep a car pointed straight, it takes real skill to consistently hit an apex lap after lap.
Words spoken by someone who's never driven a truly fast car. I don't even like drag racing.

Clearly never been to a drag strip and run a vehicle of any magnitude 😂 it's okay though keep "hitting those apexs" on your way to work. Plenty of variables like tire pressure, prep, reaction time, da, weather gearing etc that go into drag racing. If it was so easy point and shoot people wouldn't care.
@@ogmechsftw I ride 1000cc motorcycles on the track and have been doing so for years. Currently have an Aprilia RSV4 Factory in race trim. Would need a car with at least 1000hp to compete (on the straights), obviously the cornering physics favor a car but I still carry good corner speed and drag knee. At AutoClub Speedway I'm hitting ~175mph on the front straight each lap, at Chuckwalla (shorter front straight) I'm hitting ~140mph each lap. Like I said, dragstrips are boring and anyone can mash a throttle. Try mashing the throttle AND have to brake and hit each apex of each different corner setup lap after lap. Drag racing is for people who lack brain power and skill.
@@IReahpZz my motorcycle isn't street legal, I can't ride it to work. Tire pressure is incredibly important on a circuit, if you don't have the right pressure it eats up your tires (cold tears and hot tears) and you don't get the right level of grip (especially important when cornering), tire pressures also change throughout the day as the track surface gets hotter and you push harder. Reaction time, weather, gearing... Everything that you think is important for drag racing is also important for circuit racing, but you are doing alot more in circuit racing compared to drag racing.

Yeh I’ve heard a couple of these cars that sound pretty decent, not a huge fan of this one tho. Overall these cars just don’t sound particularly good tho, V6s usually don’t.
