I noticed your shifts in sport mode seemed pretty low in the RPM range, I'm assuming you didn't do the TCU tune yet? Makes a big difference with letting the car rev out further before shifting and increased clutch pressure. PLEASE BRING A LOT MORE B8 / B8.5 CONTENT!

@@rcplaneguy The key process step with connecting/disconnecting the QJ QDs is to make sure the pump is completely de-pressurized by pressing "DOWN". I extruded an o-ring in one of the QDs when I tried to force the QD onto the pump w/o totally releasing the hydraulic pressure. Lesson learned.
The supercharged V6 is a very underrated engine and definitely one of the best engines of Audi and one of the best engines in the world A lot tuning potential and an amazing sound that still beats most turbo V6s of this day

@@CephBacon yep. Literally stage 2 will be slower then a stage 1 car without proper cooling 😂. It ll pull timing like crazy and soon enough mess up the coolant bricks in the supercharger as well. Trans tune is not there. You can see it still shifts at 6k rpm and the stock launch at 3k rpm. Missing out on the proper power band, top end.

Alright pour a slab put the lift on the slab outside or pour a big slab put a steel on slab , put a couple lift inside steel building . A good place to keep your cars in and clean . Dang it, I feel less than Samcrac! I didn't fix any cars this past week. But I did get home from a family reunion and found that my water heater wasn't working. My wife was not pleased. I thought it was dead, but thanks to TH-cam I figured out first how to hot-wire it (which seems odd for a gas water heater), then the part I had to buy to fix it. The manufacturer help line was no help at all, but it turned out that Lowes actually carries the part in some stores, and it was less expensive than buying online! Now, back to watching you work on cars!
Without a upgraded heat exchanger all the advanced timing will be pull and make no where near the full power after one pass. MercRacing is the way to go.. This is a must for a dual pulley setup.
Finally.....you're moving towards getting a lift. I understand your concerns about installation....SO.....may I suggest you spend a little extra money and get the 'portable' lift towers that can be moved out of the way when not in use. The only permanent installation elements are the flush-mounted bolt anchors in the concrete floor. No muss...no fuss! Good luck with this.

8:20 - By the way, it's a horse stall but you don't have horses inside in the first place, it's filled with cars and car parts, why don't you give in and get a lift? If you end up having horses in that stall they can use it too, it's a double win!

Finished yes, done, no... I suggest you look up the meaning of the two words.. No race/project car is ever done, only finished... Finished means you've completed the current things you're working on but more can be done to it.. Done means100% complete and no matter what no other changes can be made to improve it and that's when it's truly "done" and no more can be done to it....
Hmm..not sure if that TCU tune is up to scratch. On LC, a TCU flash is supposed to stop the box from upshifting early going through the gears. It should only upshift at the new redline - 7200rpm. Your first 2 launches looked spot on but the third shows it shifting much earlier? The clamping force and max torque figures are modded to compensate for the higher power so it's possible there's clutch slip that the TCU has detected and the box is being forced to upshift to try and stop more wear. If you were doing it manually then forget all that ;) Apart from that going DP without upgrading the FMIC could be asking for trouble in hot weather. But well done on getting such a good deal, looks like the gamble paid off! That exhaust looks and sounds great, also adds some value so you can definitely flip this for a profit if the clutch packs are good. Make sure it's also not burning through oil though, the PCV could be needing done, not a big job but an important one.
You should take a look at DSG tuning, this will greatly improve 0-60 speeds and rev the engine higher. This also prevents the clutches from slipping at these high power rates.
Ya, for sure. That thing was shifting at 5.5k rpm, full 1k before redline. DSG tune will compliment the engine power and allow you to take full advantage of it.
@@mathuinscott3408 that’s weird, it shifted very early, a stock DSG shifts at ~6500RPM, a tuned one at 7000~7300RPM. And it didn’t display the gear it’s in on the display (old pre-facelifted models did that, DSG tunes almost always enable the Gear to be shown next to the selected transmission gear (e.g. S1, S2, S3, etc.)). Could be that he didn’t floor it all the way.

it's called a portable lift...its comes with 2 scissor lifts that run along the running boards and does not require any permanent mounting so you can use it in the stall without messing up the stall...

When you go dual pulley you need to remove the cats because they will literally melt. You also need to flash the DSG tune. You will slowly destroy the dsg if you don’t tune it and you miss out on revving the motor to 7k rpm

A pit with a wooden plank cover under the car is a good alternative to a lift if ground water allows, and still allows horses in the barn.
You gotta try out their 2 step launch control!!! It is wicked! Had it on my S4 dual pulley before it was totaled.

When you go dual pulley you need to remove the cats because they will literally melt. You also need to flash the DSG tune. You will slowly destroy the dsg if you don’t tune it and you miss out on revving the motor to 7k rpm
