Good stuff Karlo. I love my Lutron shade but that price tag does prevent me from outfitting my normal sized windows with them, but like you I had a super large one (door) to cover so having a custom made shade is worth it. I agree having a lag free smart home is nice!
Nice review Karlo! I've been there with footage missing so nice save! Love the dramatic re-enactment. 😂 These blinds look awesome, and while they do come with a pretty big price tag, it's sounds like it's worth it! I'm also a big fan of the Homekit integration so you can set them to open/close based on your scenes and automations.
Anyone know if the on frame version is flush with the wall so that no light gets through? We live in Alaska and need an automated system to block out the light automatically at the same time each day to ensure our brains produce the right chemicals which help us sleep. Thanks
It's nice to see when a reviewer puts a little more tought into usability. I was very interested if you could sync the blinds to a alarm clock and what did it take to make it happen right out of the box. You are one of view who touches that subject and I thank you for that. For me it's worth making blinds smart (for bedroom) on top of them being quiet and motorized is if I could link them to a alarm clock, make them open gradually a little time ahead of the alarm and also be able to measure the outside lighting conditions. There's no point opening them when there's pitch black outside and you're walking naked around the flat. If I couldn't make a bedroom blind factor in all of that then I personally wouldn't find them useful, pressing a button would be much better solution. I hope in the future blind manufacturers start offering smart blinds with everything needed already integrated. Lutron looks like the best solution at the moment but the pricing would be only fare if it was for the whole apartment rather than one window, but it seems you can't buy them in Europe so I think Somfy Clever and little bit of DIY is the only option for me at this time.

Thanks Eric! Yeah even having a custom shade plus a Soma motor ends up being expensive and not entirely native
Wish I seen more of the shade

Thanks Brad! Definitely a big purchase, but also blinds this large are always expensive.
I love how they open each morning with the alarm :)
Hello what color did you choose and which fascia style color ? Thanks

The almost 1" opening you showed on the sides (where light comes thru) then it didn't show later in the video when checking the decibel level?
The decibel level was filmed at an angle and the window frame blocked it.
Thanks for the review.
Nitpick, but at the end you said "you won't forget it" I think you meant "regret it".
Have a great day, bud.
Yep when I was editing I noticed that, total brain fart haha.
Thanks!
Will this fit inside the window with plantation shutters already installed?
Good question, I really don’t know. I would reach out to Lutron support before ordering to be aure
Do you know about Lutron Sivoia QS wireless shades? Price point vs Serena?
I’m unfamiliar with them unfortunately

is the amazon alex app new?
No, I just say Alex instead of Alexa so as to not activate anyone’s devices at home.
Thank you💕🙏
