At 5:08 i talk about the size that i ordered and what i actually received. PLEASE do not order bigger than you need. I wanted to mention this information so you know that you can order the exact size your window is and don't have to worry about a tight fit. Also, hope the overall video was helpful for you.
Hi Steve, Your videos are very informative. Watch them all the time.I just installed my SmartWings blinds and they are amazing they are custom fit and made to order and the price is perfect. A lot of fabric choices. It only took 2 weeks to get them too. I highly recommend you taking a look at them. I got 2 32x46 and 1 65x64 for $850 delivered. They work with all the assistants. I am very pleased with them. I think it is worth you checking them out!
Great video brother, thank you for the indepth review. I think you sold me on this brand. I appreciate you pointing out the size difference when they arrived vs what your ordered online, I will keep that in mind.
Would love an update with battery life. We've been thinking about getting one for a high up stairwell window. But replacing batteries could be a pain often.
I wonder is the measurement you provide meant to be the inside measure of the window, not the size of blind you want? At least when I ordered blinds from elsewhere, I had to enter the window dimension, not the blind size, and they adjusted it on their end. Your bottom measure was definitely over 34 so if they took a bit off for clearance, the gap would end up being wider than intended.
The measurement instructions on the website state to provide the exact measurements to the nearest eighth of an inch, and also that they deduct 1/4 inch from your measurements to allow for clearance for movement. What he got was actually 1/8th narrower than they should have been, but that's a pretty small difference. The much bigger problem was that Steve measured incorrectly, his tape measure shows 34.5" but he ordered 34". I guess he was trying to leave some room for clearance when the website says that they deduct the required amount for clearance already. So the eighth of an inch is on Lutron, but the half of an inch is on Steve.
Another option would be panda plastic sheeting and a few thumb tacks. A curtain rod with inexpensive curtains then makes it look nice. That's what I did when I worked grave shift.

You don’t feel like they gave you too much of a gap?
Your window is a little bigger than 34 inches- you can see in the footage - you just mismeasured 😬
Thanks!
Wow, that's great, thank you for the Super Thanks!

Thanks Adam! But be caution not to order a size that's too big.
Great showcase Steve! These are definitely some incredible shades. I do wish they were more affordable, but their prices isn’t without reason.
Did you find doing the automation easier in the shades app or your smart home app?
Do they have U channels so you can get more of a true blackout?
The size of your window OPENING is 34 - 3/8.
Does it help with reducing exterior noise? Currently live next to a street.

Yea I’ll let you know. I have 3 automation going each day so they are getting well used.
What if you added a L bracket to the side of your windows to use as a guide and also keep that light out.
Do they ship to Mexico 🇲🇽?
I priced out a similar concept five years ago and it was at least triple what you paid. :::adds to cart:::
Wow triple?!
Watch that left shade for mildew over time
The only way to get these affordably is to literally just start a TH-cam review channel and get them sent free.

That's right! haha
This video convinced me to buy them.
ridiculous that they don't provide the exact size you ordered - not acceptable
Especially paying 500 per blind
Yes, but i'm happy they are a little too small than a little too big.

Yeah, a person with a night job can totally afford these.
