The new Eleego Saturn 3 12K 3D resin printer has 19 by 24 microns of xy resolution and, rather than make claims of fast printing, seems to concentrate of quality prints from an affordable mid range machine. Here I take a frank look at what Elegoo is giving us in this new printer.

I wish you would test print models with large flat surfaces so we can see the layer lines better. High detailed models hide the layer lines and are not ideal.
I agree. The 2-point system is a little too finicky for my tastes. You can have it tightened correctly but through normal operations, the screws can vibrate out and then you hear a thunk. You know the print failed at that point.
It is currently $309. Is this a steel for that price?
I love the 2 point system on my original Mars and Saturn - and have had zero issues with it - very rarely have to adjust them.
I mentioned this in a comment to a comment below, but thought I’d ask it again in the main comment stream: has anyone tried adding lock washers to the two ball joint screws to see if it solves the problem of the loosening of the ball-joint screws over time? I should think that would be an easy fix for the problem and should work. Please comment!
If this is the 12k Saturn 2, then the Ultra is an Elegoo M3 premium, which makes it's price pretty reasonable.
The one thing I like about the 1 point system over the 4 point, is the 4 point screw heads hold resin and is more difficult to clean vs the one point
The lack of wifi makes this a solid No from me.
Interesting, usually I like to watch DISHONEST reviews but I guess today is a day for trying out new things. HONEST review it is!
I'm waiting for the Saturn 5 since they release a new Saturn every year and this year is almost over.
Hello Vogman I am a new sub. Just wanted to thank you for what you do. After watching a ton of your vids on everything from 3d printers to resin to slicers I finally believe that 3d printing is something I can add to my modeling hobby. If I can figure out the financial side of it lol. Being on dissability sucks lol. Thank you for what you do. Your videos have been very helpfull to me and will continue to be in the future.
Ordered the Saturn 3 Ultra, the 4 point build plate and linear ball screw rails are the best plus a slightly larger build volume.
Thanks once again for all you reviews... Was searching for the life span of these new machines, but can't find anything to compare them to the DLPs...

I am so glad I decided to buy this 3D printer!
Great review I myself don't own any 3D resin printers but I would look into putting Loctite on the threads once I was satisfied I had leveled the bed to the screen. If I used the wrong thermology to describe the printer parts, forgive me. Thanks for sharing, happy printing.
