Both of those are a direct improvement over the zealot armour by ~75%. Recon marine armour is the legendary variant- stats wise I think its identical to assault marine armour, though it has legendary effects. There’s only the helmet, chest piece and arms, though, no leg armour.
The best way to buy the Marine armor in far harbor is to go to every settlement and make as much water as you can the two easiest is sanctuary and vault 88 DLC you can place a lot of water generators and you'll be making it 800 to 900 water per 24 hours in the game and purified water cells at default price for 10 caps a piece so think about it 10 times the only time I ever spend my caps is to make stores in my settlement I always trade water for everything it's infinite caps in my opinion without cheating

A water purifier farm with water at 800 someone should get about 500 perified water every at least every 72 to 144 minutes (1 hour 12 minutes to 2 hours 24 minutes) irl. In vanilla not on survival difficulty (no mods, game exploits/glitches, dlc or creation club content) I was able to get a carry weight of 560 (11 strength, strong back 2, lone wanderer 2, power armor with calibrated shocks on legs) that would allow me to carry 1,120 purified water at a time. At 16 caps per purified water (Mine sales for 14 with 10 charisma, cap collector 2 and 1 of 8 junky vendor magazines but can get it to 16 by collecting the other 7 junky vendor magazines) I could carry 17,920 caps worth of purified water at a time while still being able too fast travel to trade for items. Keep in mind you can build multiple farms at different settlements with the only requirement being you need to collect the water from the workbench at each farm every 72 to 144 minutes irl so the farm will continue to produce more water. I said at least every 144 minutes cause the game checks once every in game day (72 minutes) to see how much consumable liquids are in the workbench and if there is more than 5 that settlement won't produce water that day.

Destroyer's legs, recon right arm, black ops chest and champion left arm is pretty much the best stuff you can buy. You don't need anything other than move speed from gear really.

At level 40 you should have enough perks for 10 in all starts, 5/5 weapon type damage, max armorer for ballistic weave, better crits, crit banker, and have about 10 perks left for customizing. At level 60 there's no reason you can't have everything you want for any build with 11 all special.

While movement speed is one of better LEs, depending on your build you may prefer other things, like increased strength, if you are melee, Atom's Bulwark, if you are playing through low HP, VATS-related stuff if you use it a lot, etc.
Scribe is found on the road along the river running north to south between the Cambridge police station and Cambridge lab. Fast travel to police station run out the back to the street along the river, approach the yellow car in the middle of the road and stop and save. Then walk, don’t run, past the downed billboard and follow the road to the next building on the left and there on the corner a random encounter will spawn. If anything else appears other than the scribe, load your save until he appears at the corner. It took me about 5 or 6 tries to get him to appear, also hired Smiling Larry this way as well. Also marine armor is more like 70K caps. 23k chest, 15k for helm, and both arms.

I noticed the freefall pieces say eliminates fall dmg but if you find an acrobat piece randomly it says eliminates 50 % of fall dmg meaning you need an acrobat piece on each leg to eliminate 100% fall dmg. Since the freefall one says "eliminates" on one piece, do you have to wear both of them to remove 100% fall dmg?
If I understand what you're saying, no, you must wear both to get any affect. One leg will still give you the energy and ballistic protection, but doesn't not change fall damage at all. Must wear both
i have a mix on my bos character max ballistic weave on army fatigues black ops right shin guard, commando helmet destroyers left leg devastators chest piece fortifying synth right arm and heavy bos combat armor left arm
A Fedora give a lot more DMG and Energy resistance than all the head gears, only that it doesn’t have any legendary effect . When you add weave it has 110 dmg and 110 energy and weights just 0.5 .
All missing armor parts of all of these armor sets can be obtained by just legendarie enemies. All you need is a bit of luck to find the missing parts. And ofcourse you have to name it yourselfs. I said all armor pieces missing. Right. Your number one is the exception. There are no legenderie enemy wearing any legendarie marine armor.
Well if your missing your legs to the marine kit, I would suggest the legendary martyrs heavy combat armor legs alongside the auto stim combat armor legs drop randomly from legendary enemies, warning I spent about 5 weeks in game time doing this, so if u just want to use random legendary, or just heavy combat armor legs do that
Only thing I seen is Atoms Bulwark being ranked too low. It has the highest defense period. I was curious to see the jump. At Aron d 3/4! Rad I jumped from 428 to 1,2xx. You rank Apocalypse Armor higher than AB stating useless. I’m never below 20% and I don’t need to slow time. I can simply go to my pipboy and use a stim in that screen.
The slow down legendary effect only somewhat viable in early stages in the game, since you can just invest 1 perk point into "nerd rage" and have the same effect and then armor having this perk becomes useless
You don’t have to buy the marine’s set. Just finished far harbor and idk if it’s just because I got the “everybody lives peacefully together” ending or what… but you get a quest after to go diving for the marine set and get all of the armor plus wetsuit for free out of 3 underwater chests off the coast! One south/southeast of far harbor, one is far west, and one is southwest.
Just wanna shout out the Atom’s Bulwark chest piece from Far Harbor… it’s right up there with the marine set’s chest piece, but there is a cool trick! So it’s like 20 pounds or whatever right?… BUT if you mod it to “ultra light” it actually goes down to weighing only 3!!!! Compared to marine where it goes from like 19 pounds to 16 for the same added affinity! So to have 40+ damage negation for only a 3 pound weight cost is pretty amazing although the marine set is overall better just by negation alone!
Pro tip, get 4 power armor chassis and stack them to get closer to the free fall legs. You will loose 3 until you are later in the game though. Be warned
Sentinel's armor should be there. It is the most objectively powerful armor set. If you want to be immortal. There's only one buyable piece in game; but you can farm legendaries for more drops. It's not impossible to get 3 pieces. Which might even be one more piece than you actually need: Mathmatically = - Lone Wanderer rank 2: 30% flat damage resistence. - Pack Alpha (Nuka World - side with the pack) : 25% damage resistence [Total = 55%] * Each piece of Sentinel's armor I believe grants another flat 15% as long as you stand still. Ergo = 3 Pieces is 45% that DOES put you to 100% [Which will make enemies run from you, we don't want that] 2 pieces = 30% which puts you at a total damage resistence of 85% ** There is also a legendary Ripper that has the effect if you want to play melee; but the best weapons merchant that has it is stupidly hard to make show up in your settlements, and it's a PITA. You resist almost all damage in the game. Period. Not even a Fatman should scare you. - Get Toughness/Rooted & The HP Regen magazine from the Mayor's bunker, Adamantium Bones & Solar Powered. You are LAUGHING at literally EVERYTHING that tries to kill you.
Why is the Martyr affect so appealing to you? Like the complaint you made about always curing your rads, you’re always curing health as well. Being at twenty percent health or lower is just not something you’re ever really at for any extended period of time.
40k caps? Nah, I'll exploit my raider camps and make them pay *me* caps instead! By selling armor, guns, ammo, and chems that I never use they owed me caps. I did this for all 4 armor pieces! Yes, it did take sometime because I had to wait for them to give me stuff and I was over encumbered, but I have the strong back perk maxed out so it was pretty easy.
This is extremely late but you can stack multiple armour sets, as in “marine, robot, raider and synth” can all be stacked on top of each other and you can put the far harbour armour on top. Basically you can wear as many sets as the game allows you to customise, I have found it doesn’t let you wear the same sets and only works with different sets but as long as you grab synth, metal, robot and marine + your legendary or whatever you want you will have over 600 ballistic defence, over 600 energy defence and roughly 300 rad defence. That also fails to mention if you stack movement speed armour and chose certain pip perks you can become a literal god 😂, a mythic legendary death claw was only tickling me and it was cute.
What do you mean “can all be stacked on top of each other”? What so I can put a marine chest piece on top of a robot chest piece on top of a raider chest piece? Or do you mean you can mix and match, like a raider chest, marine left leg, synth right leg, etc? I know you can mix and match but didn’t know you could stack.
@@stanettiels7367 if you do the glitch on all armour sets like (robot and raider) “chest plate for example” if you do the marine chest plate glitch on both of the armours, you’re able to put them both on at once and but another set on top of those 2, it works with legs and arms as well. It can be extremely janky though and took me a couple of save/ resets to get the armour pieces to all stay on at once, it is also best to number them like (chest 1 “raider”, chest 2 “robot”) as those 2 are technically the first/ second set of armour on your character. If you enter and exit power armour it will take off almost all of your armour but if you don’t exit you can get extreme amounts of protection and if you have the right speed perks attacked, you can travel on foot at almost 2x speed. Sorry took long to respond.
@@stanettiels7367 I personally like doing it so I can wear speed armour and still have strong armour on top of that, you can put the ballistic underneath it all to increase your armour rating even more 🤷♂️. It’s only really worth doing them all if you’ve got enough time and dedication to collect all the armours and glitch them out, it’s nearly impossible to do it early game (where it most valuable) unless you have a cheat engine or cheat room as by time you’ve obtained all the armours etc you’ve already got the games best armour anyways 😂. I think my armour rating out of power armour is roughly 600 alone (with all the items equipped) and in power armour it goes over 1000.

The Overseer's Armguards are the only guaranteed ones, although the Freefall Legs generate randomly right as you enter the room they're in, so you can save at the last stop to their room and reload until you get what you want.

Wearing the entire Destroyer's Set with the Overseer's Right Arm in the missing spot and it's pretty ridiculous.

You don't have to buy the marine armour. Complete the far hourdur quests then a quest in micilanius shows you how to get around far hourdur

You do realize that power armor negates fall damage, which makes the fall armor basically useless

@@stanettiels7367 if your companoin is already at their max carriing weight its a glitch to order them to pick up stuff you dropped to the ground. so they can carry unlimited weight.

Yeee so i boomed the children of atom and killed all the acadia synths and the guy form far Harbor was a synth too so he died.... So no legendary marine armor for me i guess
Synth armour is best, with ballistic weave it's a combo that can't be beat.

The Overseer's Armguards are the only guaranteed ones, although the Freefall Legs generate randomly right as you enter the room they're in, so you can save at the last stop to their room and reload until you get what you want.
