Who thinks fallout should have a power armor upgrade (on the arms) that allows you to put in a built in power fist. (With the effects of the power fist you use to build it)
I actually got a Two-Shot Combat Rifle within my first few hours of the playthrough where I went for every achievement. It carried me all the way through Eyes on the Prize.
Deliverer was the weapon I chose for my survival mode play through because it and its ammo is light, and the VATS enhancement is ridiculously powerful, giving you the maximum number of shots, depending on your AP. Also, you can get it very early.
I use it because of the suppressor, and I can empty the mag in a matter of seconds in one long stream of bullets. But then, my other pistol is more powerful and has a 100 round mag.
The Overseer's Guardian is definitely the best vanilla weapon for the rifleman. The combat rifle is already pretty good, .45 ammo is one of the most abundant ammo types you can find or buy (Arturo often has over 300 rounds in stock), and can be used as an assault rifle or a sniper rifle. It's still pretty decent at high levels, but because it's ballistic damage only and some enemies are very resistant, adding a good energy weapon to your arsenal is recommended.

I definitely have to agree about the Deliverer: I loved the weapon (simply from the look at first) from the moment that I found it, and have since then continuously been finding myself using again and again! It's just a good weapon and honestly, there's not really much more to add to that! That being said, I hadn't really thought about how economic the weapon itself was, but knowing that now, I wholeheartedly have to agree. 10mm ammo is just so common and easy to obtain! As for what I myself like to use, I have my own selection of weapons (some that may be legendary, unique, or just situational) that I constantly find myself using: the Reba II for instance, is the first that came to mind. Although (excluding the scope?) its weapon mod parts are randomly chosen when you obtain it (you know, supposedly)... _when I had received it_, I definitely recall the weapon having some very interesting and at-the-time, unobtainable high-tier parts attached (making it powerful compared to my other long distance rifles). Two of it parts (which were never-seen-before) that were either already attached, or were immediately local to it included a recon scope whereas another happened to be a .50 receiver. Because of it's raw damage, (especially at range), and for being immediately motivated to make use of its mirelurk killer perk (who had especially given me a very difficult time during its quest), I just kept on using it among my primary weapons. It went on like that until ammo started being a concern. Later down the road after quite a bit of progression and various choices in perks, the weapon just simply didn't scale quite as well as some other weapons did, so I found myself using it less often, even sometimes during moments when its perk could have been helpful... other weapons just started to feel more appealing! Still, it's carried along with me, and heck maybe I just need the right perks to make it viable again. Kremvh's Tooth: I just find the weapon to be really devastating, and since the blade can be removed from the original machete and attached to another (most likely legendary) machete with no downsides, that just makes it all the more better for when you find that right weapon effect! I myself chose to attach it to a Nocturnal Machete; it becomes _extremely_ deadly at night, still remains viable during the day because of the blade's poison and bleed effects, and honestly, just feels befitting of such an ominous blade. A Troubleshooter's Stun Baton: This was a weapon that I myself, had tried to work towards for a fairly long time. Up until that final mod upgrade, it didn't feel quite as effective as I had desired it to be, but when I finally did get it, it just felt so... right for the job in taking down robots. Plus, the stun upgrade even makes it useful on human should they surprise me while I have it out! Bottlecap mines: I'm *honestly surprised* that this wasn't up there among the top ten weapons! They're cheap to make (especially if that one add-on that lets you make the lunchboxes is true), fairly cheap to buy (if you retrieve the caps after the explosion), and hands-down *_extremely powerful_*! Anything that isn't outright killed by one of these, will undoubtedly be crippled and maimed! They're pretty much a must-have when it comes to big threats like Deathclaws or Behemoths! Alien Blaster Pistol: An interesting weapon that makes for a more damaging, harder-hitting replacement for a laser pistol/rifle at the cost of a "fairly slow" projectile speed. (especially by direct comparison, although you can hardly find it fair to compare the speeds of a laser to a projectile shot. That being said, the shots are rather slow though.) Its got a fast firing speed, great damage per-shot, and holds a large clip-size (with the right mod)! Lastly, one of the weapons that I use the most, and still use tactically, was also one of my first Legendary weapons... an Enraging Institute Rifle: this was found in the same mission that gave me the Righteous Authority, letting make an effective synergy out of the perks of those two weapons! Because Institute Rifle weapons also had low damage per shot, it also meant that I could enrage an enemy without having to take away a great deal of their health. I could then use the ensuing chaos to do whatever, whether it be move, get to cover, heal, distract, or help take-down a threat or two either by engaging a now distracted foe or by making the tougher foes the focus of their former allies. It's really helped save my life in situations that could have otherwise gone completely south!
I don't know why people don't use the laser musket more. It's considered a stealth weapon and its enormous burst damage is great from starting and ending a fight instantly. There's pretty much nothing that can't be killed by a Two-Shot Six Crank Laser Musket
I love my Overseer's Guardian gun but I have to tell you when things go south or i need to deal heavy damage I almost always end up going with the Gauss gun to even the scales. The Gauss gun hits like a Mack truck! Great video thanks!
Don't feel too bad. I figured it out a few seconds before I was going to ask, about a year ago. And, I'm a gamer from the 90's! I didn't start hearing it widespread until Skyrim though (I guess I don't pay that close attention!). In these terms it's just a game without any additions like dlc or mods.
I set up 4 water purifier farms so I just have tons of money. Store it all at hangmans alley, which i use as a base because it's near the center of the city and you can easily block 2/3 exits and funnel enemies one way. Then just emoty inventory, get items that are deep pocketed, get in power armor with increased carry weight, and walk to diamond city. Only time this doesn't go by quick is if a band of super mutants with a suicide spawn their, but they usually spawn on the return trip.
I think the Rockville Slugger is the best melee option. 40% lower action point cost, and I currently have it modded doing 399 damage, plus 44 energy damage per shot, before a 2.5x critical multiplier. I can 3 shot critical legendary mirelurk queens.
I agree 100% with your ranking of the Overseer's Guardian. It is my main rifle in Survival Mode. I acquired it at level 10 and haven't removed it from my inventory since.
this one is a guilty pleasure of mine, but i love the missile launcher!! it's a heck of a lot of fun, and reminds me of the Soldier from team fortress 2.
@@niatasoulguard9595 it's more of an upgrade already in the game the attachments are called mods. Not that extra stuff you can do like a minigun shooting nukes
Overseer’s Guardian: “I am the best gun!” Big Boy: “No I am!” ???: “Amateurs.” Overseer’s Guardian & Big Boy: “What was that, punk?!” Explosive Powerful Assault Rifle with max rifleman perk: “Amateurs.”
Since the increased attention on fallout, I figured I'd leave a message that you can get a fatman with 1 mini nuke for free as soon as you leave the vault at the robotics disposal facility.
Personally, I think that the best weapon is the Combat Rifle. With a good gun modding level, you can extend the barrel, stock, and receiver also sights
Overseer's guardian is just a better combat rifle tho? Especially since it gets disgustingly powerful mods. Doing 117(x2) per shot at lvl 13 is just criminal.
I'm surprised how nobody ever mentions the Cryolator. When fully upgraded, and with the right perks, this is a one shot, one kill weapon. The ammo is rare, but available reliably from Arturo, Alexis Combes, Cricket and KL-E-O. Or do I have an upgrade nobody noticed? I have never seen this weapon ever make the top 10 lists, and I've seen LOTS of lists. BTW, thank you Vinylic for your awesome videos! (I have well over 1700 hours in this game and you still manage to show me new things)
I haven't played this game in a long time but i remember a weapon called the deathclaw gauntlet and it did a lot of damage and had bleeding damage i think and another weapon i remember is the sishkebab, a flaming mini katana that did fire damage on impact and could be upgraded to do even more(my favorite weapon) there are so many other amazing weapons in fallout!
Wounding laser weapons with the splitter effect. Each split part of the laser carries it's own 25 bleed damage. You have to get close but for many enemies 1 close range shot is all u need.
I found that shooting weapons with the explosive effect tend to include me in that effect if the range is too short. So I tend to avoid explosive effect weapons. @@gildedphoenix
I personally like the Lucky Gauss Rifle for strong enemies. It does double damage on critical shots and when you’re sneaking your damage output also doubles if you have the perk. After mods it has some fairly high damage already so I think it’s pretty good. But then again that’s just me
I never got spray and pray, but I am doing another playthrough and thought I'd give it a go. Love it. It melts power armour, death claws and behemoths. It's more expensive to feed than a teenager though.
I think you have really underestimated the power of spray and pray. Its honesty so powerful with the perks in addition you would kill a horde of possibly any enemy in the game.
IMO, The "Spray and Pray" with perks , is "almost' a game breaking weapon. The explosive cbt shotgun certainly is. You can judge if "Spray and Pray" is a gamebreaker, IMO, it is, if you know the game. And the game is certainly more of challenge without it. Nice to blast all enemies into bits , but it gets boring
Exactly, at that point in the video I was wondering what game he’s playing. In my game, vanilla, Spray and Pray disintegrates the living fuck out of anything you point it at. It clears rooms, you can aim it at a wall or the ground near an enemy and it’s just as effective, even takes down mirelurk queens in seconds. Only downside is you have to be careful not to kill yourself by shooting at something too close.
Fallout 4, I usually go Crit crazy, so I tend to carry a long rifle and pistol. Eventually that means a Legendary Gauss for outdoors and (Hub's) Alien Blaster for indoors.
I wanted to see this list for a while now, I only recently got the DLC, and anytime I looked for a "Top 10 Weapons", they all had DLC. Thanks for the list, and keep up the great work.
I forgot the name but during a quest for valentine you have to find a grashopper or someting and during the quest you have to invest a grave where you can find a rapier kind of sword with radiation damage and you can further upgrade it to aslo doing electric damage/making targets paralyzed. Its really strong so it should be on the list in my opinion.
It's funny because while fighting Slim Malone (pretty sure his name was Malone) he actually dropped me an explosive sub machine gun, and I can say beyond a doubt it's the best weapon in my inventory, it absolutely shreds through any enemies and you don't even need to really aim with it
You places the Overseer's Guardian at nr 1!? Gauss riffles are without a doubt the best weapon in the game, and if it's a Two Shot Gauss Riffle you're straight up OP
The gauss rifle definitely has the most damage but it’s not considered the strongest cause how much the ammo ways and how rare and expensive the ammo is
Idk if yall are sleeping on this gun but Survivor's Special is a laser rifle that has a legendary bonus that the lower your health is the more damage it does. You get it from completing Lost Patrol
The Overseers Guardian is great for early to mid game use, but I’ve gotta give it to the Gauss rifle for the late game. (Especially for the destination DLCs) Bonus points if you can find a two shot variant.
Lol am I the only one who likes laser muskets? I mean, I know I'm probably the only one who uses Preston Garvey in T-45 Minuteman power armor, with the Broadside equipped.
Experiment 18-A with the flamer mod will save you lots of melee damage from anything that flies or pops out of the ground, Always good for a secondary weapon.
6:53 - I was looking forward to getting more ranks in Gun Nut, so I could fully upgrade The Deliverer. That was until I looted a 10mm Pistol of Two Shot. Now, it's one of my go-to weapons, and The Deliverer has been sitting in a steamer chest, ever since.
deliverer is still better imo. better accuracy, lighter, less vats cost. A two shot 10 mm is inaccurate af and is much heavier. also, deliverer looks cooler
Louis Yeh Yeh With my 10mm pistol and Deliverer upgraded similarly, the former weighs 6.4, and the latter weighs 7.2. 10mm can hold 24. Deliverer can hold 16. My 10mm has a fire rate of 69, and an accuracy of 66. Deliverer has 99 and 82. True, Deliverer has a lot going for it, but it isn't unequivocally a better weapon.
My favorite weapon I've ever found was a two shot hunting rifle. Upgraded to use .50 cal ammo it's base damage is better than the overseers guardian with the same damage multiplying legendary effect. And it also benefits from all the same perks that would further multiply damage like rifelman, sandman, ninja etc. It's also like half the weight of the overseers guardian. Granted .50 cal ammo is expensive and relatively rare in comparison to a lot of others. But the stopping power can't be rivaled by anything other than heavy weapons, and caps are fairly easy to farm insane amounts of with the settlement system.
You should do a combat rifle playthrough - using only a .38, a .45, and a .308 variant. If you include the December's Child legendary version, you can also use 5.56mm ammo!
I lucked out in my last playthrough and got a Neverending effect on a Plasma gun when I was like level 5, and just kept it throughout my entire playthrough of the game. When I finally got the Railroad ending I just ended up taking Maxson's gatling laser and ended up switching to that, and would eventually end up switching to the Gauss Rifle after I'd built up a pretty decent stock of the ammo. But for a good majority of the game, the Neverending Plasma thrower was by far the best weapon I had in that game for close combat.
Never played fallout 4 untill a month ago, and learned the dupe item exploit, and maxed out my entire skill tree, building statues. (Took me a few attempts to get through the sawgis ironworks, to get the picket fences magazine) Without even stepping foot in diamond city.. Ill be looking into these weapons, As I play on Xbox cloud using my note 20 ultra and a razer controller. I'll be certianly investing in the dlc! Thanks for this vid
The Flamer barrel on a Plasma Rifle is a BEAST. It melts it's way through even the most armored enemies, and reloading is never really nessesary unless you find more plasma cartridges or somehow run out of ammo with it.
Big Jim is a low tier weapon. Kneecapper is a great effect, but is better on ranged weapons. You can get Big Jim very early on, but as far as damage goes you would be better purchasing Gen. Chow's sword from Trudy in the diner. Even ignoring the so-so modifier (Troubleshooters), just having a Chinese Officer's Sword is going to be superior to Big Jim. Of course, better than both would be to run down to Diamond City and buy the legendary Swatter from Moe.
Author, really? Spray and pray is the best vanilla weapon. 2nd - deliverer (for stealth only), 3rd - Gatling laser, 4th - overseer guardian, 5th - pickmans blade (mostly for stealth, but bleeding effect kills pretty quickly in open fight). Please, check weapons before you are making such weird videos.
I’d really recommend getting the nuka-world add-on though. I got an instigating western revolver I kept for my survival play through that dealt about 325 damage per shot. Killed elder maxson in his power armor in about four bullets

Learner0012 I'm sorry but I'm not reading all that I love the reba II also.
Learner0012 who's gonna take time to read something that long about the deliverer...
The deliverer is pretty much a makarov pistol from call of duty black ops 1
Learner0012 can I use this as a essay?
Shut the fuck up lol all those words hurts my head
A shout out to my fellow Deliverer users. I always play the sneaky rogue route, and this weapon absolutely breaks the game from being that awesome.
Being a gun guy when I hear him say a .38 does the same as a .45 triggers me crazy
Me tooo
“Triggers”. Gun joke
Got a hair trigger huh?
You don't want to confuse real life from a shoot-em-up video game.
Just realized what vanilla means.
John Sandoval plain 😂
Don't feel too bad. I figured it out a few seconds before I was going to ask, about a year ago. And, I'm a gamer from the 90's! I didn't start hearing it widespread until Skyrim though (I guess I don't pay that close attention!). In these terms it's just a game without any additions like dlc or mods.
Court Beckius thanks m8
John Sandoval dumbass
mmmm tasty
I'll always respect this video because it was the first video I watch for help when I got the game
I find 2mm electromagnetic cartridges all the time Lao

I set up 4 water purifier farms so I just have tons of money. Store it all at hangmans alley, which i use as a base because it's near the center of the city and you can easily block 2/3 exits and funnel enemies one way. Then just emoty inventory, get items that are deep pocketed, get in power armor with increased carry weight, and walk to diamond city. Only time this doesn't go by quick is if a band of super mutants with a suicide spawn their, but they usually spawn on the return trip.
1:32 That fusion core🥲
I think the Rockville Slugger is the best melee option. 40% lower action point cost, and I currently have it modded doing 399 damage, plus 44 energy damage per shot, before a 2.5x critical multiplier. I can 3 shot critical legendary mirelurk queens.
I agree 100% with your ranking of the Overseer's Guardian. It is my main rifle in Survival Mode. I acquired it at level 10 and haven't removed it from my inventory since.
0:15 when you have already turned on caps loсk and you press shift to select a capital letter
Little Gun on Big Man
this one is a guilty pleasure of mine, but i love the missile launcher!!
it's a heck of a lot of fun, and reminds me of the Soldier from team fortress 2.
Yeah a rocket launcher with additional projectile effect (with targeting computer) would be so fun
You forgot the fact that you can modify the big boy to fire 12 mini nukes at once with the MIRV mod.
This is a list without using mods so not applicable
@@niatasoulguard9595 it's more of an upgrade already in the game the attachments are called mods. Not that extra stuff you can do like a minigun shooting nukes
Overseer’s Guardian: “I am the best gun!”
Big Boy: “No I am!”
???: “Amateurs.”
Overseer’s Guardian & Big Boy: “What was that, punk?!”
Explosive Powerful Assault Rifle with max rifleman perk: “Amateurs.”
I almost had one when my game froze
Since the increased attention on fallout, I figured I'd leave a message that you can get a fatman with 1 mini nuke for free as soon as you leave the vault at the robotics disposal facility.
also you can get one from a raider in a power suit near corvega plant. That's where I found my first one
Spray & Pray is so underrated
I'm surprised how nobody ever mentions the Cryolator. When fully upgraded, and with the right perks, this is a one shot, one kill weapon. The ammo is rare, but available reliably from Arturo, Alexis Combes, Cricket and KL-E-O. Or do I have an upgrade nobody noticed? I have never seen this weapon ever make the top 10 lists, and I've seen LOTS of lists. BTW, thank you Vinylic for your awesome videos! (I have well over 1700 hours in this game and you still manage to show me new things)
I don't use it as it has the range of a short-range shotgun.
Tip: Use Yao Gui Roast to destroy literally anything with a melee weapon.
In the same way, wounding combat shotgun the same way. In fact explosive combt shotgun can cheese the whole game
@@gildedphoenix explosive combat shotguns are incredible
I found that shooting weapons with the explosive effect tend to include me in that effect if the range is too short. So I tend to avoid explosive effect weapons. @@gildedphoenix
@@edmartin875 they can even kill
I personally like the Lucky Gauss Rifle for strong enemies. It does double damage on critical shots and when you’re sneaking your damage output also doubles if you have the perk. After mods it has some fairly high damage already so I think it’s pretty good. But then again that’s just me
Yes fallout videos again
You should check out my fallout 4 playthrough, I think it's pretty funny
+SUPER GAMER GUIDER no
I never got spray and pray, but I am doing another playthrough and thought I'd give it a go. Love it. It melts power armour, death claws and behemoths. It's more expensive to feed than a teenager though.
I think you have really underestimated the power of spray and pray. Its honesty so powerful with the perks in addition you would kill a horde of possibly any enemy in the game.
Exactly. It can easily cripple the unarmored, has splash damage, and is effective against virtually any enemy type.
IMO, The "Spray and Pray" with perks , is "almost' a game breaking weapon.
The explosive cbt shotgun certainly is.
You can judge if "Spray and Pray" is a gamebreaker,
IMO, it is, if you know the game.
The spray and pray is my favorite gun in the game. A must have from the start if you ask me.
Just uses up so much freakin ammo tho
@@sixthestupidcat It's a gun that lets you have fun. It's beautiful.
I wanted to see this list for a while now, I only recently got the DLC, and anytime I looked for a "Top 10 Weapons", they all had DLC. Thanks for the list, and keep up the great work.
11:50 Big Boy + MIRV = It's the great war all over again...
The overseer's guardian is great, but for a lower level, the old faithful is incredible
I love the Super Sledge, especially with Blitz max and the home run perk.
Sentinel Erickson I love the Rockville Slugger. Getting extra hits in Vats when it does around 190 with Blitz is awesome.
The best weapon I ever used in Fallout 3 as a lever action 10 mm rifle I wish Fallout 4 had one
Nah, too many opponents are resistant if not outright IMMUNE to radiation for it to be really top tier.
Me trying to find another good laser rifle
Finds the prototype up77 by accident
*laughs in endless magazine and sniper barrel*
The Overseers Guardian is great for early to mid game use, but I’ve gotta give it to the Gauss rifle for the late game. (Especially for the destination DLCs) Bonus points if you can find a two shot variant.
I always end up with one by level 40 or so. It's just that good.
I use Reba or another similar sniper rifle in .50 if i haven't gotten a Gauss drop yet.
You should try borderlands 2, you might like that game
I've always had a love for the combat rifle. Good versatility as you mentioned.
Who else likes to one shot raiders with THE GAINER???
Wtf is a gainer?
@@rowenjensen539 A unique 44. Revolver with increased and +15 fire damage
I was a little sad that we didn't see Kremvh's Tooth as it is one of my own personal favorites, regardless great video!
Lol am I the only one who likes laser muskets?
I mean, I know I'm probably the only one who uses Preston Garvey in T-45 Minuteman power armor, with the Broadside equipped.
Upgrade your power armour I'm trying to get the brotherhood power armour
Louis Yeh Yeh
It's plenty accurate, and it has much better damage.
Ernie Velveeta but it weighs a lot and again, is as inaccurate as a shotgun.
note: I play survival
Louis Yeh Yeh
With my 10mm pistol and Deliverer upgraded similarly, the former weighs 6.4, and the latter weighs 7.2.
10mm can hold 24. Deliverer can hold 16.
My 10mm has a fire rate of 69, and an accuracy of 66.
Deliverer has 99 and 82.
True, Deliverer has a lot going for it, but it isn't unequivocally a better weapon.
Ernie Velveeta this depends, are you a close quarters based character?
Overseers guardian is easy to find thats why its the best
What a explosive minigun
I have a MIRV mini nuke minigun
Do u have mod
I do
My favorite melee weapon is Grogak's axe: I feel badass with it, low cost of ap, decent damages and good legendary effect ^^
I'm using that axe with Grognak's costume!
If you mod the double-barrel shotgun correctly it can be a total beast

Malic Mefune i use it in survival mode.
pickman's blade + melee perks > anithing else

What about the super sledge in Bedford hospital it does 137 damage
You should do a combat rifle playthrough - using only a .38, a .45, and a .308 variant. If you include the December's Child legendary version, you can also use 5.56mm ammo!
6:01 deliwererer
Don’t forget the fact the sub machine looks way cooler
For me the deliverer does less damage than the 10mm pistol and is less accurate without v.a.t.s.
Attacking the BoS is such a disco.
I have a explosive gauss rifle
Poffz I have no idea I have a two shot gauss rifle and a Instagating gauss rifle
ITS THE SAME DAMN THING AS THE OG GAUSS RIFLE
@@SpicyTunaRoll97 I LIKE YOUR NAME AND THE WAY THAT YOU TYPE NOW LET ME PLAY A SWEET GUITAR SOLO
@@laurynas1677 NO YOU DONT. THAT GUITAR SOLO IS MINE.

You forgot the incendiary/explosive shotgun, heck of a gun.
Reba 2
I know this is really late to add due to the age of the game, but I love Lorenzo's Artifact gun.
the best weapon in the game is the plasma rifle
Tyson Ball yes
Tyson Ball No the best weapon is the paddle ball
Fdgd Dhdh Of course, it is a beauty with its massive 1 hp damage.
Legend 27 Lol but it with nuka cola it turns into a god.
I can't deny that.
The Flamer barrel on a Plasma Rifle is a BEAST. It melts it's way through even the most armored enemies, and reloading is never really nessesary unless you find more plasma cartridges or somehow run out of ammo with it.
No love for Big Jim?
big Jim is good early on, but wouldn't you rather have pickman's blade or the harvester?
Louis Yeh Yeh you sound like puma
thank you
Big Jim satisfies all my needs...
Of course, better than both would be to run down to Diamond City and buy the legendary Swatter from Moe.
this is one of the best videos on this channel but I'm not sure why...probably because I love countdown vids and fallout
