@@court-court To be fair, I completely agree with your take on P4G. It has good visuals and a decent song, but it really doesn't FEEL like P4 like the P4 OG OP does.
As a massive simp for the slower intros for P1&2, having those intros so low - I'm dropping the nukes, it's the only option remaining.

The fact that P3P opening is made in a way that you can watch it flipped vertically for FeMC's POV (as it is made for a PSP), bumps it up to S tier for me.

Crushing it with these tiers, big agree across the board. The P3 dominance is real all those intros just hit so hard
P4G is SUCH a great opening though! It latches onto the friendship aspect of the game so well, the small town group of scrappy outsiders who come together to be best buds and save the world. I love basically all the persona openings but with p4G being my first persona game it made me fall in love with not only concept but the world and the characters and so much of that was the VERY specific FEEL of P4G that none of the others have ever replicated. It has a very small town personal touch to it, almost slice of life despite the murder mystery. P3 and P5 are both much BIGGER stories and I love how the P4G opening has no qualms with how it is a much smaller story about a group of friends solving a serial murder case.

I know the stream was before P5X was released but maaannn.... The opening is legit a solid S tier for me. So fuckin good.
pretty respectable id say, i also think golden is kinda uninteresting but man, fes intro is just not good, yeah the intro of the intro is good but its not like anything that'll make me go crazy, since its just memories of you but slightly more intense with reused cutscenes that are also like, from the finale of the game? and then ofc i like the song but man there is zero cohesion with the rest of the intro it just feels like a bunch of random things flashing on screen for no rhyme or reason, id say its c or d tier honestly, the song is the only good thing and even it isnt wholly original

I think having the P3 fed opening in s tier is a little crazy. Sure the song is good but the opening itself is just an amv of spliced up gameplay and cutscenes

For me song was good but whole video it’s just gameplay that told you “hey, you bought this game, look what you have”. I mean P4G actually did this too but in more stylish way

As much as I love the P5D opening for a few reasons, (honestly maybe it's just the costume design carrying hardcore), them just smacking the all out attack renders on the glass was such a lazy move that takes so much quality away from it.

Royal’s intro was already pretty bad on its own, but the fact that it replaced the vanilla intro makes me especially loathe it. Despite only having half the content, I considered refunding my copy of Royal for the base game because it at least booted up with a good intro. Garbage F tier.
