The opening to P3 Dancing Moon Night is special to anyone who took the story of P3 to heart. The reason being that the lyrics are a conversation between the SEES team and Makoto after the great seal. He comes back for 1 night just to be with them.
That's why P3 Dancing Moon Night is my #1.
Shadow World is the literal shadow of Pursuing My True Self. Its literally what people who've never played P4 believe Persona is when its actually the other song that fully embodies the themes of the game

Reload is by far my favorite opening. Blew me away when I first listened to it. I love P3 so I was literally bawling listening to it the first time. Been listening to it nonstop since 😆

Honestly, the first two openings are far better if you read the translations for the poems. "Butterfly Dream" and "The Doppelganger" add so much since they both tie into themes of the story.
All 4 P1 and P2 openings tie into the stories in so many ways and the PSP versions of both spoil basically the entire plot and it’s deeper meaning. (Which is why rewatching those OP’s after finishing the games is insane)
They need to remake P1 and P2 honestly. (Maybe they'd have to tweak P2s story *ahem*)
@@toad7395 Unfortunately, Innocent Sin's story doesn't work without the occult nazi stuff. Believe it or not, a lot of what happens in that game wasn't pulled from Atlus' ass, Hitler was legit after the Spear of Destiny in real life haha

It shows that the team working on it really played the original and love it. Because there's such love in this opening. A love that I don't see since persona 5 actually. None of the re releases of any of these games had the same level of love. Not even p5r which I think it's kinda bad actually.

What I always loved about persona 3 portable was the fact if you turn the screen upside down the intro shows a diffrent story in the female Protags perspective

P3R literally is a testment of how the team making it love the original game. It's not full of ridiculous flair that all other re release openings have and it even surpassed the original.

Exactly, persona 3 fans shitting every game came after is wild, since 4 and 5 are better in every way gameplay wise, and imo even in the story telling and political undertone. Persona 3 has a great sending but the story definately feels childishly edgy at times, and with it being an experiment it doesent at all have the pace of the two sequels, even persona 2 or mainline smts. That being said I still love the game. Sad to see what the remake is looking like

P3 Dancing was done dirty 😅 That song is AMAZING, all the reference and reflection on the meaning of/events of P3 itself alone 👌 (even more so in the full version of the song)
Also totally forgot that the P3D OP is clearly where they got the "Water" elements for the P3 Reload Menus.
One cannot deny that P3D is the better game though between it and P5D (the amount of games P3D was able to pull Music from for Remixes is VAST by comparison, whilst P5D remixed the same like 4 songs 5 times each... And they're kinda shit remixes too imo)
