After getting my galaxy s24 ultra unlocked, I will never get another carrier locked device. Unlocked is the way to go, if you can.

Question... I have the Samsung Z Fold 4 and it has a crackdown in the middle. I've been reading online a lot of customers having the same issue and when they go to utilize the warranty, they are told no because of a tiny scratch or in some cases no scratches when sent in but they're told it was dropped without evidence. How did you go about receiving the warranty replacement?
Just got the Fold 5 and S24 Ultra, so I'm not anywhere close to being ready to upgrade, but still enjoy watching tech videos like these anyway!!

On my third fold every time its the hinge. Not worth it unless you get a really good insurance highly recommend Best Buy insurance. The carrier insurance will replace it with a refurbish one. And each time you get it replace it loses value which they track by the IMEI # Best buy insurance replaces it with a new one. Samsung needs to do better with those hinges.
I've upgraded both through samsung and my US carrier T-Mobile. Both were easy to do it just depended on which was the better deal at the time or if I wanted to upgrade before I was due with the carrier.

Probably not. They'll change something so tiny and minute just to make it not fit so they can charge you for new accessories. Just like Apple.

Samsung definitely kills it for trade ins. I have the Flip 5 and I got it for $50 dollars last year with the Z Flip 4 trade in and my educators discount. But thise Moto Razr's have my attention. Looking forward to July 10th ro get all the info but one of those will be pre-ordered for me by the end of that day.
tne razr is very cool bigger front screen only thin with motorola is takes year or loger for os up date and trade ins are very very weak compared to samsung i have flip5 and payed 50 but like to try fold but if samsung dont offer me the same trade in as the fold 5 i might go with razr
The flip deals have been incredible
The new renders makes it a must buy almost. Depends on deals. And battery life and type of Upgrades. A.I. means nothing because they snuck the A.I. from my S24 Ultra on my Z Fold 5 so it comes eventually and in 2025 A.I. will cost. But it shouldn't so I'm also looking forward to see specs and renders on the Google Pixel Fold 2 which could be a better option. Samsung has to bring the heat to make me get the Samsung Watch 7 Ultra. Because this Apple Watch Ultra 2 is the greatest Smartwatch ever invented.

Good information everything they you said is correct, but I feel that your audience needs to know that if you return the New phone, you will lose the $50.00 credit, and from my own experience I also lost my $600.00 trade in value, Samsung E-Commerce said I used the trade in value and they can not reactivate the $600.00, I'm fighting with them right now I have filed and Consumer Complaint Report, and I'm also looking into filing a small claims law suite. Just thought you should know. THX
Hopefully that works out for you, but I remember while trying the trade in deal for my iPhone 13 on the Samsung S23 last year and the details stated once you trade the phone in you aren’t getting it back.
I guess the credit part makes sense since it was used as an offer towards the device. I’m not sure because I didn’t send the phone in, I ultimately returned the Galaxy and stuck with my phone.
Best advice I have is for others to take advantage of the trial period; definitely set day 1-2 for basic setup with logins to give yourself about a week and a half to test out the phone before returning it or sending your previous device in. It’s a relatively smooth process and Samsung is definitely nicer about it than others.
It's at this time of year I wish I was in the US for offers.......well to be fair the way this country is I wish that all year round......but especially this time of year.

Oh no! That's my worst fear is that to happen to me and I'm out of town. I'm still using my Note10 plus looking to upgrade sometime this year as the battery life isn't the best. I'm looking at the Iphone16PM, S24 Ultra or a Fold 6 🤔

@@TechOdyssey the tab s9 and s25 and flip5 /fold5 trade in preorder offers for last year were mediocre. Few months laters the trade in were much better.
@@runeass the trades were slightly better but no longer offered $150 free credit, no bonus $50 credit, and no double storage upgrade for free. So the preorders were still better.
@@TechOdyssey I guess we define better differently, I would have preferred the price discounted on the device I’m purchasing rather than the “free” double storage, I prefer the base storage with 100$ discounted, and the 50$ preorder is super annoying to get to applied. I’m still excited for the new techs but most likely I’ll hold off to see “better” offer.

You do realize that these phones aren't designed to be upgraded every year right? Lol. Yes. The new features seem very stale and not many big changes but for a first time buyer, or someone upgrading from 2-3 years ago, it will be a great phone. You have to think about context.
@@TechOdyssey ive owned every fold from samsung except year 1. Can you honestly say the phone has drastically changed between 3- the upcoming 6? An honest answer would be no. Camera changing? Nope. S Pen in the phone? Nope. Regular size front display or even an alternate model that accomplishes this? Nope. The z fold 5 even removed the power button swipe gestures. The selling points for thid device over the years have been
- thinner
- redesigned hinge
- can close more
That is terrible over the course of a 3-4 year span. Id agree with you if these phones changed over the course of that time but samsung isnt. Theyve turned into apple while the chinese foldables are running laps around them. We cant even get a bigger battery? 3 4 and 5 all have the same battery size.

1800 X 2 = 3600 - 1K credit= 2600$ for 1 phone 📱 in two years. I don't see a deal in that. Not gonna spend 1300$ each years to have a new phone

They are not sold here in the us, so even if they are better, it doesn't matter, and if you import them, they either won't work on the us cellular network here in the us or have very limited coverage.
