The Assault with the Thunderhammer is just unfair most importantly because unlike every other melee weapon a single dodge does not give enough distance between you and the hammer meaning you're basically dead 90% of the time.
Assault is by far the best class in the game. My only theory is that it might be much more balanced on PC than Console (triple dive bomb of console is almost impossible to stop, you can't track it). Do you play on PC or Console ?
Valid opinion, Close ranger sniper feels great when you are able to get the jump on someone or if you get a good flank going. But can be less effective in a team situation and relies heavily on your grenade for survivability. In a 1v1 close range sniper is outmatched by most classes if you don't have the jump on them, and even then, if there's no roof assault can normally live long enough to get a boost off
@@brotag3939 they are almost every game, no matter which Mode top of the pack. Pretty Commonwealth to see kills in the 20. Typically you win Duels except bullwarks and if you are not aware of assaults. But nontheless Keeper up the work.
@@josephworkman9294 If they get the jump on you sure, but I have plenty of clips of outright catching them before the get up on you or even jumping right as they approach and winning the 1v1. It's a lot easier if there is no shadows as the invis leaves a shadow on the ground or if you get good at noticing the invis particle effect. Anyone with a primary beats you outright at close range under a roof normally though.
I prefer the starter pistol between the two I was pretty excited when unlocking the heavy pistol but I feel like I get much better results with the default. I also prefer the chainsword over the hammer but the hammer has some pretty big upsides as well.
Assualt is OP in PVP, 🐕 💩 in PVE The reason is that in PVE, it's very good at low levels but offers nothing useful or worthwhile that another class does for the team with playstyle or perks thatveefct the team. In PVP however Melee bypasses armour outright.... so jet pack up, throw any old grenade into a growd and slam down and kill every player in 2 hits. Absolutley oppressive.
I haven't dived too hard into PVE but I imagine having a primary in general helps with high end stuff. A bunch of other videos and posts I have seen on the matter were saying Assault was C tierish in PVP so I felt like I had to set that record straight.

Yeah Im just not getting anywhere with the heavy. Tried it many times. Then my first try with the sniper I improved.

the swing after slam is parry-able, but if they do a heavy you are cooked for sure, assault v assault you can jump the hammer swing.
Definitely agree about the shock grenade. Slow aiming feels just mean and unnecessary

PC, with a controller, I play every other shooter with mouse and keyboard but space marine just feels right on controller
i disagree with your list. Top to bottom -> Sniper (close range ) -> Tactical -> Assault -> Bullwark -> Heavy -> Vanguard.

You should add a disclaimer that it is a console/controller player tier list. Things are quite different with mouse and keyboard.

OG Space Marine PVP had it's own problems, but was leaps and bounds better than the amalgamation of scat this game has pinched out.
