I went to Yoseka specifically because of this video. I am a fountain pen newbie, and I was so curious about the pens and the journal in this video. Specifically I wanted to talk to Ashley since she is so clear and full of detail in this video. She is DELIGHTFUL. So patient with me and all of my million questions. About pens, ink, Plotters. Everything!! I'm actually going back for more this weekend. Such a great shopping experience. My only warning: be prepared to be enabled when you go to the store. I want it all!!
I've ordered all of mine from Japan to UK but cannot wait to get supplies when I get to your shop in May. Plotter really are a great system in every way for me. 👍🏻 Congrats to you folks for getting this brand in Yoseka. You know what we need now don't you? A Yoseka green binder! It has to be done! 😆I was interested in the info about how to sort the rings should they get a gap in them. My favourite is the A5. Thanks 😄👍🏻
Love that you're carrying Plotter now! I have the Bible size and have been wanting to get the Mini. Love the style of them and how they are so minimal!
Thanks! Let us know if you'd like to see anything specific! The whole team is very excited to have PLOTTER on hand now, so we'll definitely be making more videos ;) -Ashley
I actually haven't heard of them somehow, but I guess I haven't been in rings for a long time. I do like that the covers don't have some textured pattern or snap closures. But I absolutely love that the refills aren't just loose paper, but are bound notebooks yes please 😭
Very cool is right! Very helpful. I’m on the hunt for a new planner system for 2025 and even thinking of going back to the good old Granddaddy from the 80’s Franklin. Which is a way of saying everything is still on the table currently.
I have the Plotter mini horse hair 1 & its nice to see more people are getting to know Plotter. The project manager is such a great concept for its functionality.
I hate rings/binders, but everything seems so great about this! Maybe the limited size could overcome the problems I have with them. So many excellent ideas here! Will these be in-store as samples?
These 11mm rings do negate a lot of the 'pain' we get from writing across them or using them. Whilst I know they are there, they don't present a problem, nor prevent tidy writing either. They are small enough to not be an issue 👍🏻
Yes!! I’ve got an A5 binder and I want those refills because A5 binder refills aren’t widely available in the US. The ones I got from somewhere else bleed like crazy even with using a rollerball so I’m excited to have better paper.
I experienced feathering a lot after using my pilot vanishing point inked with iroshizuko tsuki-yo on the paper. I might switch to a gel pen instead. 😢
Would the Plotter bible or narrow refill size be a good fit for a Filofax personal size outer? I think the narrow may work (hoping the bible size might!), but just not sure about the hole placement. PS A video about fixing gaping rings would be awesome!
The Plotter accessories will always restock in our shop so definitely sign up for the restock notification and same goes for the Raymay accessory refills that are compatible :)
the original philosophy of the brand and their overall look is great but i kinda hate the hypocrisy of saying that they are all about decluttering your mind and the minimalist approach while they do everything in they power to constantly sell you the most overpriced useless add ons... "after spending 200$ on 4square inch of leather, don't forget the refill storage, and the SEPARATE elastic band to close your note book, and the 20S$plastic pocket to store two cards.... ugh
The Plotter binder prices are insane. $182 for the bible size, which is more than three times the price of the comparable-sized Traveler's leather cover. Yes, it comes with a metal three-ring apparatus, but that doesn't justify three times the price. Nor does the functionality of the system. I know that simplicity is part of the Japanese ethos. But from where I sit, it comes across as a scheme to jack up product profit margins at the expense of the consumer. Hard pass.
Good leather is quite expensive and these are the same price as the Roterfaden A5 binders and the A5 Hobonichi leather covers. If they hold up well they can be used for a long enough time that the cost per use is minimal. The flexibility of being able to use loose leaf refills is worth it.
The leather is of a much higher quality than the Traveler’s Company notebooks, and a lot of them have a longer, handmade process into the finish of them - that mixed with the rings, brass part, and putting it all together, means it will be more costly. Yes, I wish they were less money, but they’ve been releasing lower price points on their leather binder options, which I appreciate. This is also one of those items that’s meant to last for years thanks to the quality of it. Especially with the handmade curation of the leather, I would rather pay more so that the workers behind these custom leather pieces can be paid a fair wage.
I think that I’ve found two videos that get beyond the unboxing stage. “Everything you need to know” or “Changed my life” appear to be standard lines but TH-camrs don’t appear to write in them or…use them?
Ashley, thanks for such a thorough overview of the Plotter system. Funny thing, I literally winced every time you snapped the rings open or shut. So I believe this binder-based system won't be added to my Yoseka wishlist. 😆
This does not seem like a useable system at all. Doesn’t seem worth the price for what you get. Also, how is “only carry what you need” a proprietary philosophy to Plotter? This all reeks of a marketing scam.

@@Yoseka Maybe different set ups incorporating the to-do list/quadrant refills.
Yay, she’s back. Please do 'So Casual’ again-you are great!

YAY! This was so well done, Ashley! Thank you so much for showcasing PLOTTER! (Lowkey taking notes because some of this info I still don't know haha)!

Love my Plotter Bibles sized notebook as an EDC

I double tapped this vid as if I was on instagram lol. Love this! Ty for the great introduction
Excellent presentation with very useful details. Thank you. 🕊️
omg plotter video!! got one as a gift from my aunt overseas but im still a bit scared to fully use it :0

This is brilliant, I love these videos ☺☺☺
Ha ha! The “more” I asked for is here!!!
Whoa, I expected so much more ghosting!

Can the max of 80 pages be used if the fastener case is inside as well? Or would less pages be better?
Excellent video!
Using a really nice leather new-old-stock Filofax but might consider some of their fillers.

The Bible plotter and the Filofax personal are the same size! I use a few Filofax inserts in my Bible size plotter 😊
@@meganregel3441 Thank you so much! 💜

Hard agree. It’s travelers notebook features with Filofax price tag.
@@putocuchinta, thanks for the concurrence. I'm getting sick of the the price gouging in every domain of our lives. It's shameless, really.

“Everything you need to know”
Never writes in it bound and flat.

Ridiculously overpriced binder
The price is outrageous
I mean, it’s basically Filofax without the pockets 🤷🏻♀️
Exactly . Much better to get a vintage Filofax .
