Upgraded Vevor 3018 Pro CNC after one month

  • I've had the CNC now for about a month and I'm sharing my thoughts about it here. There were also requests about a cost breakdown so we are doing that too!

    Nice video, linear rails are an absolute must, especially because your new spindle is further away which increases the leverage effect, it would be great to replace the leadscrews with ballscrews as well.

    I think this could be very useful for "lost foam casting", particularly if the casted objects are in Aluminum, because you could then also machine it on this CNC.

      That’s a good idea! I’ve never done any casting but it sounds like something I could get into

    Nice 3018! Do yourself a favor and buy the Genmitsu dust shoe. You'll have zero dust and can rid of the plastic box..

      I think the Genmitsu one will not fit the spindle I have? Most probably I will 3D model and print a suitable shoe though, it is a good idea!
