@@verrigo if you didn't notice, it was a paid praise video, not a review. Almost nothing was shown about this machine, but how "impressive" insides are, boost clocks at full load and fps in 2 games at unknown settings, unknown temps, unknown noise level, unknown load on the system and a lot of vague vocabulary without numbers.
there are other laptops that hit higher clocks on CPU under 100% load at 8 cores, like Eluktronics Mech G3 or some 4800H laptops while still having good build quality, display, or even having proper mechanical keyboards.
If you draw conclusions that this laptop is great by seeing it alone, without comparing to competition, it is idiotic.
Sure, it might be great, when you don't compare.

I got a Legion last year for my college course and as a desktop replacement (my desktop CPU hadn't been upgraded in 7 years). I picked it because it looked so much like a normal laptop so I can use it at work (where all the normies live) without drawing stares. But I've never regretted my purchase even though there was a slightly more powerful laptop (on paper) for the same price because it's just such a solid well made laptop. I don't cry whenever I drop my backpack with it inside!
This looks like the logical progression with better speakers and RBG. I might just get another when it comes time to upgrade.
I should add in as well that although I've never tested the thermals properly, I've never noticed thermal throttling after prolonged game play at or around 144 Hz.

I have the legion 5, i have had it for about 16 days but still, i truly love it! The usb-C supports displayport 1.2 so that's a awesome feature to have 2 video outs. Also i haven't complained about the screens brightness but i guess i see that it is a dimm screen (the 120hz 45% NTSC screen). My reason of buying it was because all competitors or were ugly af or were about 200 dollars more expensive. There was no option for me to go with the 60hz 100% srgb version but if you can do it if you can use the 50 nits extra brightness or the 100% srgb. There was minimal junk programs but i would remove the program that controles the onscreen viewing of the toggles (like caps lock and numpad). Other than that awesome mechine for €850,- upgrade for €30 extra to 16gb with a cl22 22-22-22-22 module. So my review for now would be AWESOME, nothing that i can think of that could be better at this pricepoint (within The Netherlands) apart from the screen i would have like to get the 60hz 100% srgb version as i have said before but the option was not available for me. If you have any questiona ask me in the comments!

Justin Baxter gotcha ok. I’m trying to run COD and then some excel stuff for business. Seems like any of these models will be more than fine - gravitating to the Lenovo for the keyboard and the cooling. Might wait for a model with AMD 7 and 2060 tho...
