I am pretty torn on all of the new stuff. I love the idea of the map but goddamn it's a shooting gallery and is going to be super rough for melee to get up the limited routes. Was excited for the Eldar team but man I really don't want to have to buy a whole bunch of boxes to even field it properly. Then for the scouts.. ok cool we get new scout models but they are going to be sold out within a min due to all of the 40k players wanting to get the new sculpts as well so once again KT gets screwed over. The whole jungle idea was probably never going to happen but it would of been so cool to have part of the board as a space hulk and the other outside. Could of been a cool way to use both boards at the same time.
If I came in to play a game and that terrain was setup the first thing I'd do is discuss w/ opponent how we want to fix the board. I can't see that setup being fun for many teams.

I don't really mind the split boxes. Although I am a little disappointed with the terrain. It just feels a little dull.
I can see an oil rig being really fun if you homebrew a rule like "crits push back 1 inch"
An ocean world isn't a bad concept since we don't get a lot of them in the lore. But the terrain is disappointing. I think the fan made stuff for their favorite faction will bring the flavor the play area so badly needs.
I think it will be a good time. I don't have room for more terrain though, so I imagine I'll still be playing a lot of open maps. I often play a "floor is lava" on a swamp mat that I have, and that's good fun with the addition of the "Hot" keyword for any units that want to walk through the green swamp goo.
I’m glad about the split boxes, I just hope picking them both up wont be (too much) more expensive than the all-in-one boxes
Combined aspect warriors was one of my ideas for an eldar team. I hope you’ll be able to run Dark Reapers as well.
I like the separating of the terrain from the team boxes, really wish they had done that with the ITD stuff. My friend group has WAY too many copies of that terrain! I hope the prices reflex it decently. Neither team looks too interesting to me but I'm curious how the rules for the "water" area will work.
I just recently dipped my toes into Kill Team and the scout team looks interesting. I was wanting to make a Black Templar Intercession Squad, and i think picking up 2 boxes of Primaris Crusader Squad would allow me to make both, barring some kitbashing and bitz hunting.
Thank god striking scorpions got a kill team, that just took $40 off of my Aeldari army I have planned
No you can from the book build a mixed team or a full one aspect team its an option the scorpion is the team the only thing they did was to give people who wanted more option the opportunity instead of locking it to only Scorpions as I see it they just gave us more. As for terrain I could see cliff side where the gang ways would go between and rocks jutting out the sea to give more cover as there isnt many places to hide atm. I love the Scorpions must have them
I'm looking forward to the new season and seeing what the new environment brings to the game and how if effects the existing killteams. I also like the terrain and the teams being split, keeps me from having to buy the same terrain multiple times possibly, though I'm going to pass on the first boxset because personally neither of the teams excite me.
I'm glad to see the Eldar. I hope all the Aspects are allowed because there doesn't look like any specialists. No Auspex or anything.
I don’t get it! This is some of the best terrain I’ve ever seen! I love playing around with negative space and this is just awesome!
100% agree with the split boxes. I more than happy to get the teams box only. I also hope gw release data cards for the other teams in the future.
Really only excited for the scorpion sculpts tbh. The scouts look good but probably not for me.
What if there will be fog or night rules that come along with this season? I know it could have only been for the teaser, but the whole thing was shown at night which is one thing that the Striking Scorpions were always known for in the lore. Waiting for days on end to strike out of the shadows. What if the wide-open terrain is balanced by rules that limit sight lines?
