    The tac ring on the 3 is priceless. The warrior 4 is narrower focused whereas the 3 is a little wider focused beam.

    Thanks for taking measurements! X4 is +0.5mm vs X3 at the bezel

    I have upgraded to the 4 and will test it out. I find the x3 more comfortable to hold. One will go to the ute. The other for work.

    This is the ultimate nightstand flashlight for home use in my view and X3 is the winner, the limited options we have regarding self defense here in europe/australia, for fighting it comes out on top for obious reasons which you mentioned, being held in my non dominant/weak hand and a HDR68 in the other which i believe you can have in australia or wherever you live aswell. I prefer the warrior mini 2 over the mini 3 aswell, i hope olight havent gone past their peak now and overthink so much they make worse products.

      Why not a paintball gun with plastic balls instead of the HDR68? Purely asking out of curiosity - a paintball gun can hold hundreds of balls, have a large capacity co2 or air canister, very rapid fire especially with an etrigger, customisable, often very reliable if you get a proven one, barks quite nicely for some extra intimidation etc. I cannot imagine anyone carrying on through the bullet storm you can unleash with a PB gun. Obviously the paintball gun would be for home use though

      @@TheArtist441 weaker shots, long time to make ready. You can have the HDR68 (or HDR50) ready beside bed, knock in that button that activate the co2 and have it ready in fraction of a second. that its easy and quick to get ready for use is very important if you are to use it for self defense, memory will fail you, fine motorskills etc will drop when you are high on adrenaline.

      @@someonethatisachristian I hear you, BUT, here are some additional tricks for consideration - screw the paintball gun's gas canister in only a little so it stays fixed on the paintball gun, pre fill the hopper (magazine) to full, and keep it cocked next to your bed side. When trouble comes, simply pick it up, screw the gas canister in further until it engages (2-3 turns) and you're ready to go. They can also be modified to fire over 400fps quite easily, AND you can carry additional hoppers (Magazines) with another few hundred plastic balls. Anyhow, this is what I think, living in South Africa where there will rarely be less than 3 intruders, so you have to be able to pump out a good volume of shots and repeat when you miss

      @@TheArtist441 thats a rough neigbourhood. could be youre right in that this setup is better for your scenario, but i believe you should have a backup weapon like HDR68 + large knife in addition to that. shameful you cant own proper firearms to deal with threats like that, but we're in the same situation here in europe regarding guns but thankfully only a fraction of the crime you have. My #1 tip is i hope you have a bible, because i believe the times we're in are biblical, God also protect you if you trust in him.

  • @Miknitro

    I would say the X4 is a solid choice if one doesn't already own the X3. Also you should've zero'd your caliper before using as all the measurements are off roughly 10+mm. The linear scale is correct but the digital output that you read was not. I mean 18mm tail cap would be smaller than the cell inside it.

    I like the idea of the USB-C charger but I’m not a fan of the strobe, & I like the “warrior ring”. I work security & having that on the light let’s me have a defensive tool. Also I like the X3 holster better.

    It was my understanding that this flashlight’s USB-C port could be used as a power bank to charge external devices but when I connect it to my iPhone 15 Pro Max, an error message appears on the phone screen indicating the charging source (Warrior X4) uses too much power and therefore will not charge the iPhone, at all.
    When I connect the flashlight to my 11” iPad Pro (4th gen), the red light beside the flashlight’s charging port illuminates but the iPad does not respond to the charging source, at all.
    Can the X4 actually be used as a power bank to charge external devices? or do I have a defective flashlight?

    Does the tac ring fits in x4?

  • @MPD90
    @MPD90 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    X3 is a great torch. X4 feels a bit of a mess by comparison. The tail switch is lower quality (imo), they've made a hash of the USB-C by making it spoil the ergonomics of the torch, the tactical mode is a let-down given the options they've put on it, no glass breaking beads.. too many misses compared to it's predecessor.

    If the warrior x4 had more than 2 light outputes i woukd 100% buy it but only 200 lumens and turbo is ridiculous, it needs a moonlight mode and a high mode with a longer step down. 200 lumens is may too much for walking or stealthy, and the turbo with a step down is anoying so both modes are unusable levels for me

    Why wouldn’t they have a tac ring for the x4 it’s the main selling point for the x3 and no strike bezels on the x4 how is it an upgrade it is clearly a downgrade. O light should have made a bigger thicker tac ring and kept or upgrade the strike bezels and put an instant strobe button.
