I own both the Oclip and Oclip pro. I wouldn't say one is better than the other, just different. The Oclip Pro is brighter than the other and has a flood light and red light which the other does not. The Pro is quite a bit larger and heavier than the regular Oclip. The downside of this is it sags when clipped onto a shirt collar or pocket, causing the beam to point to the ground. So, both lights are useful under different circumstances, the Pro having more features and the regular being lighter and more handy.
I don’t need it, I don’t need it. I ordered it 😂
This already looked like a great urban EDC flashlight for me because of the red light (good for bike riding), and the right angle. Knowing there's a strobe mode, makes this perfect!
Very good presentation on the light. Clear explanation with good graphics too. ❤
Thank you my friend. Glad to hear you enjoyed the content 🤙
Nicely reviewed I bought this after a lot of study and it's worth
Glad I could help
I just ordered a few things from the Olight sale, the Oclip pro is one of them.

You are a scream!
Can't wait to see more reviews lol 😅.
Really awesome, detailed review. You have a new sub!
I just grabbed the Pro on Amazon for $31.95 US, on a limited time deal. Wish I grabbed two, one to gift to my guy. Really impressive. Built so very well.
I finally had my Olite HR1 die after nealy a decade, and was sniffing around to replace it and saw this ECD 2025 bag (kit) review by someone else and it featured the O-Clip Pro as the 'hottest' new light. I was intrigued.
My quest is to have all USB C rechargeable items, it's just time.
I was looking at Nightcore who makes my headlamp that I LOVE, the NU25 have both the older and new version, and I have had the Nightcore TIP 2 for years, but this Olite really does have all the features a prepper, outdoors sports enthusiast, biker, hiker or anyone could want, doesn't it. For kids this would be totally awesome. Even dogs.
I think they slammed this out of the ballpark!
Agian, I have the Nighcore Tip 2- 720 (not the TINI) and it's a great light, got back in 2015 with the non replacable battery, so waterproof and it stays charged when not in use which I love about Nightcore, but just definitely fits in the nich as a 'keychain light', even with the clip for a ballcap headlight feature.
The battery is obviously much smaller, so it's a 'use it to walk the dog type deal and charge it right away'. And it is not front facing so you must hold it...Does have a great magnetic base but...when you pull it apart to stand alone, or charge, well I have lost the other end several times, such a pain, and it has that bloody dreadful micro USB I want banished from my life.
Plus I was looking for addition to my headlamp I already ECD, something I don't have to strap on all the time,😅 and the Tip has no red light which for me is a must. The TINI 3 does have USB C, but no clip (or red either) !
I swear they do this to make us crazy, lol.
So this is truly Goldie locks as that EDC bag reviewer said. The run time is impressive for camp and emergies. The lumins and throw, spot and flood speak for themselves. Waterproof, hello! Made so solid... Definately smalled then I had imagined so I was thrilled unbxing today.
The clip is very impressive, something you have to see and is not going to fall off clothing or bags easily. The lanyard hole and ability to super securely attach this to a bag, pack, etc.., was the iceicing on the cake for me. My greatest worry. And I can still throw this on a neck lanyard, all issues solved.
If you have ever broken down on a pitch black, cold rainy night with a flat, the red flashing red or even a white light- if it does not blind drivers, lol, is invaluable proped on the roof of the car, seriously so as an emergency road side beacon, how awesome. Then if you have to walk down the road.....ya don't get dead, yes!
Also the runtime is important for me for camping which we go allot. Again pretty impressive. Has a 580 mAh battery vs. the 280 mAh batteries of the Nightcores of similar size.
Just a sidenote....
Unrelated sort of,
I encourage you to check out the Fenix CL27R because it has similar features as an emergency beacon, magnetic 'fix things' light, etc...with flood, spot, a combo, red, etc. This is marketed as a 'camp lantern' with a huge battery, not too big, a chucky hand sized little beast 3/4 the size of my Galaxy Note 24 and just as wide. Definately doable for a pocket. Very, very impressive. We got these as Christmas presents this past holiday and it really is another one and done type deal, I know preppers would be interested in.
And like the O-Clip, the Fenix also can be used while changing which tremendously expands it's use.
So for people worrying about not being able to put in fresh batteries you can just plug into a power bank.
Thanks again for your great, prestine, review!
Cheers!
Very nice presentation of a very nice product! Olight make the best flashlights in my opinion. I look forward to more future reviews from you Mr Moorlander👍
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed the content my friend 👍
Absolutely love it!
Glad you like it!
I've messed with this for a couple of days and it's surpringly useful with the flood and spot both so easilly accessible. And I like the original for just quick use.
No replaceable battery sucks, and turbo kills the small battery pretty quickly. But for everday use it's aces, and they have a cool design. I will say olight would rule if they used standard batteries and offered hi cri leds on their models. Because they do have sone hideous looking beams at times.
Awesome tool for hands free in the tent and or around camp. Weird? I ain't common!
Normal people are boring 😆👌
@@MoorlanderEDC heh heh heh
Interesting review thx and interesting these lil Oclip (original and these new pro) so I decided to buy 2 of boths :) not really for using them to see but more the side to be seen (there are others like from Nitecore, Nextorch and many others and in combination with passive solution like reflective headbands)
You can clip it to anything, but a headlight is better in most cases. I have an olight headlight and the clip pro. IMO the headlight is the best to get first.
You've convinced me to order one. Ta
Glad I helped. I'd love to hear your thoughts when yours arrives 🤙
ORDERED TWO OF THESE ONE IN ORANGE ONE DRAGON PRINT
Just figured out with my Oclip pro. why they put the magnet on the bottom. If you put a magnet near the top it will activate the switch inside when on its will switch the lights😂 nice piece of kit to be honest.
GOOD JOB ON VIDEO
Thank you 😉
That is great for edc, first time seeing this light so cheers mate, and you got snow you lucking duck! Ahh the 80s was boob decade for sure 😂
Unseasonably early snow 😂
Ps. Yes, the 80s was the best decade for boobies. Helped me become the man I am today 😊
l love everything about my Oclip Pro except I wish the clip would turn 360 or offer the option to mount it the opposite direction that it comes as!!
To many modes for me. If i dont use it for a while i have to relearn it over and over. It would be nice if it had a volume knob for brightness instead of short press long press one tap two tap three tap etc.
@@Jeffrose_ That’s exactly how I feel about this.
Hi Your Majesty, I too have ordered one based on your review but I forgot to use your link. So apologies for that. Which Helicon Tex jacket is it you're wearing? and, have you reviewed it? Take care sire and look after your nation
Dang it! I'll have to puttl off the refurbishment of the West wing til late next year now 😂
That's the gunfighter jacket.. Content should be live tomorrow
Not the first time I've asked you about a certain subject and you're just about to release the exact content I requested. Come on you've got to agree that's well spooky. Or, are we on the same wavelength? Is it some kind of weird antipathy?
@alanathey4678 I have people that inform me. The Moorlandese spy network is the most sladvanced in the world. You can see why Marvel used the Kingdom of the Moorlands as inspiration for Wokanda and Black Panther 😂
#facts
Need to show strobe at night on spot and flood. ❤
Dang it! Sorry about that
Can i charge while i turn on the light?
Yes, it continues to work perfectly whilst charging. If you had it connected to a larger external battery it could stay lit for a long time
Awesome very good
Stoke-on-trent accent? 😂 sorry couldn't help but ask, you don't need to answer that! Great review as always.
Very close. Staffordshire Moorlands hence the channel name 😂 very close 🤙 thanks for watching
@MoorlanderEDC ahhh haha wicked! True outdoorsy. Thanks mate, nice of you to answer!
Did they pay you better than the last review for the previous version as well? 🤣
Paid? No, I don't accept payments from companies. I get offered payment quite a bit but I prefer not to. The agreements I have with them is I'm more than happy to be sent a free light (which I guess you could see as a kind of payment) but I can say whatever I want about it. I'm never going to be able to buy a house with my TH-cam money. Luckily it's enough to pay for itself so I don't have to use my own funds. Maybe one day I'll retire and live off the small amount that comes in 😆
This is the only version I've been able to make some content on. I haven't tried the original OClip yet
@@KandiKlover link please? If you're going to attack someone
it's OK at $10....but $40...um, no...not IMO.
@@RoadLifePursuits have you see videos how they manufacture these lights? It does cost more than bucks to produce, transport and market these lights . They are also built well. Not cheap plastic stuff
I am odd/weird😂😂
