I bought the Seeker 4 about a month ago and I’m quite happy with it. It has a great throw, without being too narrow, just what I was looking for. If I could change anything I would make the flood slightly more narrow and intense. The lack of the rotating wheel and the magnetic charge of the Pro is manageable. I really like the Seeker 4!
Thank you for another great video. What's good about your reviews is that they are still relevant even from 3 years ago. You can literally go back and watch your older videos. It's all still valuable information, anyway have a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year
It is there, you just need a cable. I see some differences between 21700 on Seeker 4 Pro and 21700 from Seeker2, Baton3ProMax and another 21700 bought as a spare. The plastic wrap on the bottom is bigger at Seeker4Pro. I presume its for the lockout in the holster but i was too bored to verify, i charge them in a Nitecore iC4 anyway. Edit: i realised you talk about the simple Seeker4. Yes, too bad...
I'd buy a Seeker 4 if it had a neutral white option, rotary switch, and magnetic plus type C charging, just like the Seeker 4 Pro. Give me the neutral white option in any color other than black as a bonus. Both good lights.
I picked up the pocket clip when I bought the Seeker 4 Pro for $.99 during the Christmas sale, so shipping was also free. Always check the accessories when buying something there to ad to the shipping, same goes with Leatherman etc. I hate paying a shipping price that's more than the product.
@@ChrispyThingsyes thank you for the in depth review on both of these lights. I’m leaning towards purchasing the seeker 4. Does Olight give military discount? And does the battery come out of the seeker 4?
It seems there may be one difference that every comparison misses. The Technical Details on the Olight web site for both the Seeker 4 Pro and Seeker 3 Pro, under ‘Compatible Batteries’, say ‘Customized 3.6V 5000mAh 21700 Lithium-ion Battery’ while the standard Seeker 4 (on the same web site) says ‘Rechargeable 21700 5000mAh / 3.6V Li-ion Battery’. NOte that it does not say ‘Customized’. I assume the custom batteries are necessary because the Pro versions use the magnetic MCC charging cable. If the Seeker 4 doesn’t need a custom 21700 because it doesn’t use the MCC charging cable, this is an important difference. Being able to use standard 21700 batteries in the Seeker 4 would be a huge plus. Can someone verify any of this? I would love to know.
What do you think about the USB C charging over Olight's magnetic charging? Do you think Olight went with the USB charging because of the European Union ruling? 🤔
Probably because they realised ppl dont like proprietary that much. I charge all Olights into a Nitecore iC4. Olight magnetic charger, including the Seeker 4 pro usb-c (in fact also magnetic) are imprecise, dont charge at maximum, dont start if the battery isnt under 85-90 (my aproximation).
I understand the 4 Pro holster couldn’t charge the 4, but would the 4 fit? I was considering buying the horizontal holster for the Pro and it would be a plus if I could use the original vertical one to carry the 4.
Hate hate hate silicon handle. I just threw out 3 devices with that, and they all got mega stickey and unusable after a couple years. The silicon came off onto my hands.
Ive got a white (body) Seeker4Pro from USA, 140 euros original price, 45 shipping, 40 VAT and Custom in Romania, but its a beauty. I dont like the sheath, im scared it will scrath the white paint so i use a sheath ftom Seeker2 Pro.
I had tk16 v2 great until the charging connection broke. Bought separate charger which was fine because Fenix couldn't help me. I purchased through amazon but a year later amazon , to my disbelief said send it back for refund. i will buy the seeker 4 pro. Just a bit of useless info maybe . Cheers
Hi guys what do you think about olight seeker 4 vs fenix pd36r pro which is better? I know the stats but I like the moonlight mode on the olight and the tail stand capability but the fenix has got pocket clip and better price ... 🤔
I got the Seeker 4 pro after seeing so many positive TH-cam reviews but have been really disappointed with it. I have brought torches off Amazon for £40 which are far better.
@@ChrispyThings my torch from Amazon has a far better battery life with a digital display, has a zoom that can go three or four times further than the Seeker. It's also a hell of a lot brighter too.
Same here lol.. still can’t decide which one I like more. Love the throw of the 4 but the 4 pro is Cadillac. I like the stepless dimming, definitely like the rubber grip & magnetic base. I honestly use the seeker 4 more because I live out in the country with big wide open areas but in the thicker woods I’ll take the 4 pro. I notice the seeker 4 gets warm faster than the 4 pro. If im going out somewhere like to the national Forrest I’m taking both! Interchangeable batteries are awesome too!

I wish they would've kept magnetic charging along with type c just like the Warrior X 4

Great explanation on the difference. So easy to understand.

100% agree. They could call it the Seeker 4 Plus orv something. But that switch functionality and the charging options would be wicked cool.

I jumped the gun and bought the Seeker 4. And, man the switch on the Pro makes it preferable for me.

I love the battery indicator on the Seeker 4 Pro. I’m colorblind, and the tri-color style indicators like on the Seeker 4 do nothing for me.
I have the Seeker 4Pro and I love it all the light you will need
Is the holster waterproof? The usb-c port looks exposed so even if the torch is waterproof it's holster won't be
Can it be set to go max output with single click? (Seeker4)

Which flashlights are those?
Luckily I don't have to decide and have both but the name and body shape are the only similarities.
Marauder Mini
wtf olight baton 3 pro max 800 lm output 243 min olight seeker 4 4pro 800lm 130 min?????????
1 led vs 4 led maybe more of a spread
I got both lol
Nice
