I rarely comment at all on videos but just wanted to say as a Blood Bowl video game fan your videos are invaluable. I’d love if you made videos like this for the rest of the teams if you wanted because I’ve watched these 2 multiple times already.
A lot of this analysis, I think you've forgotten that the Agility Skill no longer affects passing. They have added the Passing Skill in BB3. "Relying on agi 3+, so their passing game isn't strong" "Fish for an agility on your thrower, and then you don't have to get accurate"
I went 2 Blitzers, 2 Throwers, 2 Bodyguards, 1 ogre and 4 linemen with 2RR. I want more Bodyguards but took Leader with my first thrower skill so not hurting for RR too much. I’m not an experienced or good player but I like this set up for field control and offense potential.
amzing guide as always but there is a problem.. the star players special rules are not in the game yet.. i think they ll introduce them in the third season. but in any case everything you said is true for the tt version
Thank you, good guide it helped me figure a few things out, I still have a crazy idea of putting body guards on the line, for the simple reason is that I think you need players on the pitch to play a successful defense and linemen don't really want to be taking hits, but I could be wrong here.
Depends how important it is to play with 11 players for your team. Some people just place their armor 7 low value players as fodder on the line and if 1 or 2 get KO'd their high value players are good enough to carry on from there.
You can also save a couple of dedicated fans more by cuting off the third bodyguard, and using thrower instead. I prefere this option, going in the first game for the apo, and then firing linemans while taking the remaining bodyguards.
Definitely one of the teams I'm looking forward to playing! If a thrower got an AG increase they'd still need accurate as it doesn't increase PA stat right? Would you opt to go for a PA stat increase with a thrower?
This is the first time I do not agree with you. First of all I want Sure Hands on the Thrower. RR are so expensive and sometimes you HAVE to pick up the ball against Elfes or Skaven. Then Leader, again because RR are expensive. Yes Block at some point is an option of course. Apart from the thrower there are several issues. Taking MB on a blitzer is kind of bloating. 40k Teamvalue is too much with usefull Stars around. Same with guard on a lineman as first pick. AV+ is an option to waste the SSP on the lineman. 10k Teamvalue for surviving the LOS might be worth it. Apart from that I agree on taking randoms on the linemen, cause you can rebuy them later. And you need someone with tackle. For me its the Bodyguard as mentioned below. :) Still Thanks for the guides, these are just me experiences with Nobility in tournaments, test games an on Fumbll.
People are still messing with the meta and once i've played a bunch hmore games I might make another updated guide. Valid points, thank you for your feedback. The only one I'll challenge is the sure hands vs leader; since the pickup 1st time is with a RR - either from leader or from SH. However you might get to use that RR elsewhere on your drive if you take leader? It's not specifically that you're wrong, more that I just see it from an alternate POV. I also accept that you can easily fluff the pickup T1, then fluff the inital pickup T2 and end up spending 2RR, when Sure Hands costs you zero - but this happens
@@AndyDavoBloodBowl yes, Leader first seems better. In tournament I choose that too. (3xGuard 1x Tacke on the Bodyguards / 2x doge on the Blitzers / Leader on the Thrower) In league play I would still start with that skillset and add from there.
I am very confused by some statements, like fishing for agility on the passer so you don't have to take accurate? Do you mean fishing for throwing? Or fishing for agility so you don't take some other skill?
Thanks for this Andy. I have to say that I have found Imp Nobs a very frustrating team to play against in 2020, all that Wrestle SF and Fend make it difficult to advance on you drive.
Do you think there is any value in putting tackle on one of the bodyguards to have your sacker? Or do you think they all just have to be on the line so that role is for the blitzers?
Alright, first things first I just wanna say, Andy, you're great, I just needed a place to vent. I really appreciate what you do, and the vids. Thanks. These guys were done so dirty, I suck, so its probably me. But damn, they are so unsatisfying to play at low TV. I really wanted to like them but I don't. Wrestle+Standfirm are great skills, not at the expense of 2 block from humans. Imperial linemen? oh my god, only 5 k less than human linemen yet they're 4+ AG and 8 AV. That's so freakin bad, fend is ok, but not for for what they give up, fend is useless if you get stunned, get knocked out, injured, or killed. Throwers? goddamn, I know BB2 humans have 3 pass, but to also give up sure hands?? For what? running pass? a worse passing skill. mediocre thrower, they're worse than Orc Throwers!! because they dont have surehands!. The only saving grace is they're not retainer linemen. And ya know what? They're not much better than human linemen before they get accurate/surehands. This team gives me an aneurysm. They're supposed to be a control team, but their linemen whose only job is to sit there and not do anything only has 8 AV and 4 ag so you cant dodge. Not to mention this team is expensive hell, we're talking 90k bodyguards 5 k more than human blitzers who, I'm gonna be honest, are better than bodyguards. Then we have the 105k Noble Blitzers, 20k more than human blitzers. Having a blodge blitzer is amazing, but you only get 2 of them, and you don't have anyone else who can or should catch the ball because they have the highest mobility. Lets get into how expensive goddamn imperial REROLLS are! 140,000 rerolls for the Imperials vs 100,000 for the humans?? WTF! At the start for imperials, you start with 11 players, 1 reroll, and +1 dedicated fan. Humans can start with 2 rerolls, and 6 dedicated fans. Are you kidding me?? Not only will humans lose less players than you, they make more money than you. I don't know if they accidentally switched the money codes or something, but i think we should give the team more likely to have dead players access to more money generation. Starting humans get a better starting players than Imperials, and they get more starting things like rerolls/dedicated fans who also increase money gain. Like ok human linemen start blank, so what? They'll live longer than imperial linemen so you can put block or wrestle on them, and you wont have to waste money buying new ones. I did learn today that you don't even need to replace retainer linemen, they'll just give you journeymen linemen which are blank slate linemen with loner. That's cool I guess, but I'd rather my linemen just not be the literal worst unit in the game.
With the right match up I've found a tackle bodyguard can be a real menace for teams that rely on dodge (played high elves in TT league and they had a bad day) and is a great sacker, but against any opponent guard can comes into play.
Is there anyone that can tell whether Blood Bowl 3 is cross platform or not? Im only gaming on playstation, and im not buying yet another blood bowl where the online scene dies on playstation because its not cross platform.
Well that was moistly informative.
You don't want to be going into a game wet behind the ears.

All races are under contruction - you'll get one a day between now and friday, to complete the set
Well said and totally agree. Awesome videos man, ty!

"Relying on agi 3+, so their passing game isn't strong"

Some of my thinking is a hangover from BB2 - I'm still heavily involved in that ruleset and this is a fair point. +AG is still decent however!
@@AndyDavoBloodBowl
Still definitely decent 👍
Would love a 2+ pick-up on this team.
Just effect catching

... love these Imperial Baronies. They look magnificent... just like in table-top...
Thanks for the guide videos Andy!
My pleasure!
Good info but I didn't think the Star Players special rules are in the game yet.
great stuff!
Good guide Andy. Interesting tip on the Defensive Ogre. Nice idea

You seem like a nice person, liked and sub’d even tho I came here for the dice game lol.
oh hey! thank you very much indeed, on both counts!
Things you like over BB2 and things you liked more in BB2??
Andy you'll do this type of vidéo for all race ? Even the old one ?
That will be great !
That’s the plan. Editing Thursday Video at the moment and it’s an older race :-)
I hope they still add bretonnia they were one of my mains in 2..

Finally some decent bb2020 guides xD will you be doing more teams or was this a one off thing for the new teams?
I enjoy this team on current version of the physical game. I’m going to check out the digital game🎉

Yes, that is a good skill, after guard - something I should have included
this is a nice comment. Not a naughty at all.
I miss Bretonian :(

Any in game issues so far? I read one review that said the game is even buggier than BB2.
this week they are finding the server stability a bit of a challenge, just bare with them I think
I think some bodyguards want tackle.

Hi, it's currently NOT cross platform as of Feb 2023, however they plan on releasing that feature around November 2023

Lower that background music mate. Makes it hard to watch these videos with all that noice banging from the background music.
I have lowered it from the last one and we've dropped it more for videos 3,4 and 5.
