He was looking funny until I added the face. His head is down since he's getting splashed and it didn't seem like enough space for the face until I put it in looking down.
Im curious when you did the legs near the end you had the light parts in one big piece then cut them down to 5 or so pieces. What was the reason for not just leaving them as is since not much changed? Is it just a matter of adhering to mosaic principles of trying to keep blocks uniform in size? Would it look off by the end if theres some large uninterrupted pieces?
Yes, I want to keep the pieces somewhat uniform. The fountain is curved so horizontal pieces cannot be long. Even if the legs are vertical they need to be similar. The exception are the crazy tiny pieces for the face and hands. I'm keeping the facetape on until installation so they don't fall off.
So tedious, but well worth it I think. Very detailed. 💕💕🎶🎶
You got that right!
The way you notched out spaces for the water droplets is just amazing! WOW!
Glad you like it!
Love the water droplets. When you added the face, the whole figure came alive. Amazing how different shades of glass can create such reality!

@mazzonimosaics8222 yes I forgot they will be installed on a curve. Makes sense :)
