I just wanted to tell you how grateful to God I am that I found your channel. I am 51 years old, have been going through an insane amount of stress and change that has made me ill for about a year. Because of my illness I had to close my dance studio of 23 years the end of April. It was very traumatic as my students, ages 2 through adult, have been my family. I love them dearly and felt like I was abandoning them and letting them down. I have been extremely burned out and have not even wanted to create ANYTHING so I knew I needed a drastic change. It’s been about a week since I said goodbye to the space I had my studio, where my 8 year old daughter has literally grown up in as a second home. I found your channel the other day and your videos with your amazing, talented, strong yet kind and gentle spirit has been helping me heal and inspiring me to get back to my true artistic soul. I had a very hard life since I was a child, but today thanks to my art and my family I learned how to get up.

Habe deine Videos schon weiter geleitet, nachdem ich viele angeschaut habe. Unter anderen an eine griechische Freundin. Weil mir oft die Worte gefehlt haben, hab ich noch keinen Kommentar geschrieben. Im Moment sammele ich Steine und kaufe nach und nach das Material. Das erste Video, was ich angeschaut habe, war das viereckige Mosaik, welches so groß und schwer war. Neben der Begeisterung für das Mosaik hat mich deine menschenfreundliche Art fasziniert. Oh thank you so much for doing this video, I have wanted to try mosaics for a longtime, but I felt intimidated by the process, I watched another video of yours and then this one with the smaller project I finally feel like I can do something small but beautiful without so much worry. As an older woman with my 3 children out of the house I was trying to figure out what I want to do with my time. I was a creative person all my life and had a wonderful life even as a single mom I loved waking up and feeling inspired by all the beauty around me... then something happened I suddenly had a 7-year-old with Leukemia and life changed inside of me my sprit felt broken but I remained as strong as I could be and nursed him through his 3 and a half years of treatment. After my son finished his Chemotherapy, I simply felt lost and unsure of where to start rebuilding myself. He is now a big strong and beautiful man with a life and married his Highschool sweetheart (Just this last September) All of my children are creative, and they make such beautiful things with all kinds of mediums. Yet I have been stuck even though I still have a creative spirit maybe I have just been scared of feeling like I can't create again or something. I wanted to be more of myself for so long and create some lasting art like this and with your inspiration and sweet tutorials I'm closer than ever, Ty
Oh, my dear Mechelle, your story and life experiences touched my heart ♥️ I felt your pain so deeply and reminded me of my husband. In 2016 he had cancer in Switzerland and it was horrible, I was feeling so bad and 2020 again a relapse in Crete. We were so lucky that we were in Crete because if we were in Switzerland 🇨🇭 he will not survived.
I can’t imagine a life without him he is the first person who understood me, we’re to spite in one ❤️ He helped me so much with my mental problems and always supported me. I know today that I have to be really when the times comes…
This is an other big story and I’m sorry I can’t really write ✍️ so well 🙏🏼

I was visiting a friend in Punta Gorda Florida and she took me to a place called Matlacha. Hurricane had destroyed many of the properties but a very quaint shop survived, it had the most beautiful pebble paths, I had never seen anything like it. I googled pebble paths and found your channel, how wonderful! I never knew about pebble mosaics before and it has just fascinated me ever since. Thank you for sharing your beautiful work and knowledge! I am not artistic in any way but I might try a small project because I love it so much! Thank you!!

This is so easy but I suggest to try it with sand instead of little stones and then on the top the stones, this way it is easier.

Als ich deinen Tisch aus Zement gesehen habe, wollte ich eine Tischplatte für meinen Garten machen. Aber, es ist gar nicht so einfach hier in Deutschland das richtige Material zu finden. Es ist überall schon Sand und Latex drin, aber ich weiß nicht, ob das dann auch für solche Mosaike geeignet wäre. Dann hab auch festgestellt, dass ich gar nicht genügend Steine und Fliesenbruch dafür habe.
Nach diesem Video steht fest, ich werde das gekaufte Material im kleinen ausprobieren. 👍
So wie du hier gearbeitet hast. Dann ist es nicht sooo schlimm, wenn es nicht klappt.😅

Eigentlich wenn die Mischung schon drin ist, ist es ideal. Hier findet man es nicht so einfach und ich weiss auch dass man materialen von Deutschland viel besser sind.
Ja, ich empfehle dir auch zuerst kleine Projekte zu probieren so dass du das Material besser kennst.

Dear Marinella, many thanks for another beautiful work (I recently found your channel). Now I gather the courage to try - as you said, a happiness for our souls. And the spirals always have deep meanings. You said about the good people coming towards you. I believe that is because of the goodness you carry, radiate and share around you, besides your art itself. I do have a technical question too. Do you use a special varnish, or any would work? Is it a stone varnish? I ask this because I saw/read in several sources that the concrete should cure (30 days?) before being varnished... or is it ok because the varnished surface is mostly made of stones which would not contract or anything else the concrete should do while curing? Thank you once again for the inspiration you share!

I use wood varnish for inside artworks and the is also a stone varnish for stones. I have only the Greek version so you have to ask. After 2 ☀️ days you can varnish it, but of course depends on the weather.

So lovely! But, is the latex necessary or could I just mix cement and water omitting the latex?
Hallo my dear 🙏🏼thank you for asking 🥰 You have to know this one was an experiment, instead of sand I used little stones and that’s why I put LATEX.
So the cement is stronger and can hold better the little stones.
If you use sand from small projects you don’t need to put LATEX.

But I’m sure that there are a few who don’t like it. My daughter did 5 languages subtitles also in English.
You don’t have to hear me talking you could use subtitle in English.
I’m also dyslexic and normally I mixing all the languages together and my 1 language is actually Swiss German.
I try really my best to be myself and this Chanel is about challenges in art and life.
