      They explain a lot but they leave some things ambiguous. For example, the difference between an open and a closed hand is not really properly explained. To be fair, I might be misremembering because I could have sworn that they didn't explain what "furiten" was, but they actually do.

    • @Vendavalez
      @Vendavalez 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ba-wp5zs Same here. There is just too much to this game for them to be able to put everything that you could say to a new player on there. It is already the game with the most slides too, isn't it? It is good enough though. And I find the user experience to be much superior to other things out there. Now if the online play was from anyone other than Nintendo...

    • @andrewpinedo1883
      @andrewpinedo1883 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@VendavalezI'm late, but furiten is a restriction applied to tenpai hands in which a player cannot call ron. Usually, furiten applies if you had discarded a tile earlier in the hand. Furiten also occurs if you passed a chance to call ron.
      If you had called riichi, furiten do not expire.

      Yeah it's not a game you can read the manual then dive head in. But that's cool. Give it time. Go with the closed hands, look up a list of possible yakus, give it a look every now and then and things will slowly begin to make sense. Remember to be defensive too. Probably better to give up a hand and wait for the next round instead of giving away a tile someone can win with. Good luck.

    When I play Japanese import video games, like 40% of them are mahjong……I feel like I should finally learn the game. Perhaps then I can start liking the video games

      This game is found , as you say in Win 7 , but I installed with Win 10 more games . Sometimes I won , sometimes I lost . Allmost of them must be finish in 10 minutes . This is a problem .

    I'm playing Mahjong Soul and just got my mahjong set. Have to watch this because I can't explain any of it to bf without him getting progressively drunk and refusing to even attempt playing till I'm able to explain it.

    I came here because there is a game called "Jyanshin Densetsu" where I go on an adventure with a mágical girl beating other mágical girls in Mahjong and the whole game is in Japanese. I want at least to beat the game 🤣 thanks for the tutorial 💖
