This is the first time I've seen someone encase the carb inside of the plenum box. That's brilliant! No boost leaks because there will always be positive pressure keeping fuel from leaking out (where it shouldn't) whilst under boost! I'm going to say that I appreciate Steve pointing out the time saving cutting the box lid without Arcdroid, I can see a mateship forming out of this 😎
As I've said before, adding Padric was the best possible addition to Grind Hard! Clearly a brilliant builder in his own right, and man did that turbo work infinitely better than I was ever expecting! ^^

@GrindHardPlumbingCo you gotta get progressive fuel pressure if you're gonna setup the turbo like this!! All of the boost you are creating is also acting against the fuel supply to the carb. Say you have 10 psi of fuel pressure, and then you add 7 psi of boost, you're only gonna have 3 psi of fuel pushing in. This will save this thing from exploding when it inevitably starves on fuel. You'll also have a hell of a time trying to get it to run right without a reference fuel pressure regulator. I can't believe the comments aren't full of this, it was the first thing I thought about when he started making the plenum.
yepp , this episode really made me question their legitimacy , does this thing even have a fuel pump ? how is fuel pressure referenced - regulated? where is the oil return line for the turbo , etc...
Oh so often they do brother. To deliver it to the carburetor from the tank even lawn mowers and shit with carburetors have a little fuel pump@@jalanihidup6119
Padrick is rad. His knowledge is great but the way he treats vehicles is fun to watch too. He knows how to be *safe-ish* while also pushing their limits. The team is really good right now. Padrick, if you wanna improve your test track time, watch how Ethan uses the shape of the track to carry speed thru and out of corners. He's hitting lines that you aren't even close to and it lets him enter/exit the turns with so much more speed. That lil jeep can't accelerate worth a crap so keeping any speed is hugely important. Best of luck!

Does it have any some sort of seat belt thing or whatever to hold you in the seat at all? If so ill buy one and full speed hit a massive jump (either a massive jump just in general, or a massive jump compared to the jeeo itself though) and launch
23:38 You may want to explore whether or not you need to fabricate some support for the structural pipe you just cut a large section out of. If you plan on driving like you just did, with an adult in the passenger seat, you may end up with a lot of weight on your pressure box.

Welcome!!
I would love to own all those Japanese jeeps, especially after you guys got done working on it. I live in Central Minnesota, and that would be so much fun out on residential gravel roads I want one, especially after when you guys get done working on it and making it as fast as possible you got the best team ever you guys come up with the craziest stuff and I love it
Does it have any some sort of seat belt thing or whatever to hold you in the seat at all? If so ill buy one and full speed hit a massive jump (either a massive jump just in general, or a massive jump compared to the jeeo itself though) and launch
1:13 - 1:17 , yea me neither, I wouldn’t expect a Jeep to be a Lamborghini… 😂😂
23:38 You may want to explore whether or not you need to fabricate some support for the structural pipe you just cut a large section out of. If you plan on driving like you just did, with an adult in the passenger seat, you may end up with a lot of weight on your pressure box.
You dont know how long I have been waiting for this video! love it.
