I'd like to see how you've painted your Confederate soldiers; so far, the only thing I dont like about the Warlord sculpts is that the artillery units are in sack coats instead of shell jackets. Other than that, I'm very pleased, and I cant wait for my order to arrive! Those Kallistra sculpts are great!

Kudos on the paint jobs, really well done and shows off the way forwatd I think, mixing up the kallistra models for variety with the Warlord models providing the bulk of the armies. Itching now for Warlord to make the release, but before then getting more information about the resin add on boxes - and of course their cost. I know the Iron Brigade has already been mentioned with their distinctive Hardee hats, not sure if the rebs will get a special unit, but suppose most are waiting for the zouaves - fingers crossed for a mix of fez and turban.

Nice work Leon, the Kalistra figures work in nicely. You could do an all grey confederate unit when you get your big box, that would speed up the painting a bit.
Nicely done! The mass effect is grand, so to speak. Kallistra do fit in very well with Warlord although I notice that Kallistra's rebs have shell jackets while Warlord's have sack coats. Maybe the rivets are too small to count at that scale :). Looking forward to painting and play test videos.

Very nice, i have painted a few of the WG bases and it seemed to take me ages, compared to how long I think they should have taken, so would enjoy seeing you do a ‘speedier’ painting demo.

Really nice job converting the bases. Historically drummers would not be in the ranks nor would the officer. The officer would be on the right of his company or behind it when in battle line. The drummers would be in the rear or would be assigned to help the wounded to the rear. If you take the officer and drummer off and place the colors dead center that would look historically better. Confederates would only have one flag. Outstanding looking army you have. I will give 12mm a miss as I have a lot of 15mm and 25mm ACW. Thank you for your productions.
@@leont66wargaming31 I’m just throwing a bit of authenticity at ya. My color guards are there own base and have the proper nine men in the guard. In Black powder the regimental officer really doesn’t matter therefore I place my flag in the center of the regiment. My drummers, file closers and officer are just there for looks.
Well done leon Great painting do you think you should stick to your style of painting i tryed it out prime then base colours and strong tone wash then base colour again the highlight lighter colours base colours second time can paint all over
Thanks Kevin. Yeah I used the same technique on these. Only difference was I only put one highlight on rather than 2. Also on the union I used Dark tone ink instead and also added a bit of water to it.

Do you think Kallistra sculpters may have taken Warlord figs and slightly altered them to get around copyright I found a bunch of Naps for sale on ebay; then brand name was something like tabletop Frog? Bizarre name and when i did some digging; i found that the sculpter had just heavily converted Foundry sculpts. They were actually pretty good; but the reason i didnt buy them was the re sale value. Thats why i am going to try to stick to front rank pps: whats your current Flesh triad? What size Cavalry bases for 28mm figs please; i got your 60x40mm for infantry Thanks Pal
