Looks like you guys upgraded. Do you know how the Piaggio faired within the fleet, from a fiscal perspective? I suspect the Piaggio may have just aged out (2003), but I also see there aren't any other Piaggios in the fleet so just was curious. Seems like a great plane on paper, albeit an expensive one, but I've always been curious how it's perceived by the "bean counters". :-)
Indeed a marvelous looking aircraft! My initial thought was italian design and luxurious designed car of the sky. I guess I agree with those who call it the Ferrari of the sky! Awesome catch, congratz! :D
The Piaggio is a beautiful aircraft. Yes it is also unconventional, because it’s designers thought outside the box in order to create an aircraft with outstanding performance characteristics that are unmatched in its category. There is no airplane I would rather have unless I were worth at least $500 million.
@@SGTMARSHALL1 Both produce thrust, but it's less efficient to have rear-mounted props on a plane because they are supposed to suck in air to burn with the fuel inside the engine, which generates the thrust. The combustion process in a boat engine happens before the power reaches the propeller
@@rogertycholiz2218 and Plane Spotter: The P180 is the fastest production twin turboprop in the world at 402 kph, but also very efficient at just 98 gph, plus has a large comfortable stand-up cabin (which typically would cause more drag). The rear facing props allowed for a wing design which promotes laminar air flow and less drag, the tail provides a third lifting surface (most tails push down to balance the aircraft) and the fuselage shape adds 15% of the lift, all of which could not be done with front facing props. With all of this being undeniable fact, you might rethink what is wrong with your logic because reality says you are incorrect. This is a common problem these days.
Very Wonderful Rare Sight. :) President Donald Trump is visiting the UK following the NATO Summit in Brussels. He will meet the Queen and play golf this weekend.
Awesome catch of our airplane - I was the first officer on this flight.
Thank you! Did you handle this takeoff, or the captain?
Canadian Plane Spotter this was the captain if my memory serves me right
And what was your destination?
Westhampton KFOK

What a catch! And I can imagine being on that plane sitting in front of the wing seeing no engine or propeller 😱. Liked!
Lmao that would be weird xD

Great video! Those nice pusher turboprop general aviation aircraft is so beautiful!
It is a beautiful aircraft. It may be different, but certainly not hideous to me.

Beautiful 👏👏
Wow! It looks like it's straight from an action movie!
Also, thanks for complimenting my meme on aviation memes 12.
Lol you're most welcome :D
Spectacular takeoff you hear it screaming high in the sky
Awesome catch, I've wanted to spot one of these for a long time. Nice one!
Thank you very much! You've filmed far more bush planes and general aviation craft than I have though ;)
The most beautiful plane ever.
I JUST SAW ONE YESTERDAY! Great catch!
Nice. I've seen one in Ottawa many years ago. :) I like the design.
I have mixed feelings about it... I mean it's weird as heck but that's what makes it attractive :P
My favorite aircraft after the CONCORDE.
This is a super cool video!
Truly beautiful!
most boats have props at the rear and yet you call it backwards when you see it on a plane
True, but there's no water behind the plane to slice through
they just swapped the water for air but anyone with logic would work that out themselves @@canadianplanespotter

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's... a plane, the P180 Avanti!
I love Canadá ,Piaggio and RUsh. I am from Brazil
What a plane!
If P180 Avanti II had unpaved surfaces landing gear, it'd probably be out compete segment newcomers like the Pilatus P-24
Great catch
Awesome
Bela aeronave
Well is gone p180 plane retired
Italian style

Looks like a skinny whale
With this livery it kinda looks like an Orca ;)
