We all heard that eye roll. Lol
I own one of these, only in the S spec trim. I believe it to be the perfect blend of electric drive "feel", but with no range anxiety whatsoever. On a road trip, I never have to worry about any charging issues, as any petrol station is my "charger". I find the interior to be very high quality, with the same leather used by Bentley and Rolls. The screens are blended into the dash for a more traditional feel, as opposed to the bolt on tablet look that has sadly become popular. In regards to the exterior design, all I can say is that it elicits positive feedback and questions literally every time I take it anywhere. Folks that aren't on the bleeding edge of technology, nor care to be, and have the means to afford this, may find it as attractive as I do.
The best part of this video was you were racing around my neighborhood. Not much interest in the car at that price but it was fun seeing you put it through its paces.
Assembly plant is in Moreno Valley, California in N. Perris blvd.
Great review. Looked similar to Taycan’s back seat space (center console excluded) which is why the Cross Turismo Turbo S would be my preference. I wonder what the estimated range is with a full tank?🤔

There's was a black Karma (not Fisker) behind me Wednesday in Orlando. Not sure of the exact model. Not sure if it is owned or a tester.
Man I hate that engine noise when accelerating.
I dont see panel gaps like in the old fisker. This car looks far better than any maserati sedan on sale today. Almost as good looking as the Aston Martin Rapide.
I was waiting for Kyle to say "Power" like Tim the Toolman Taylor a few times. Especially at those launches. lol

quick question so when do i switch to full gas so i can choose to run gas and save my electricity and when im out of gas switch to electric ?
feel bad for them that they don't have enough money to design a new car cuz they're obviously trying to keep it fresh and update it, don't know what they're gonna do when eventually it becomes too outdated for any meaningful sales. Still building more cars than Fisker is right now, wonder if any Fiskers models will actually go to production.
I am also really impressed that the GS e 6 will start at $80,000. That's much better value, glad to see the price come down

The car reminds me of a modern day take on a 1930 era car. The long hood is the feature that sticks out. I picked up a matchbox model of these car. It goes with the older fisker model matchbox made. At this point this all i can afford to buy one at all.
As for the real car it has a nice look that stands out. The engine generator is interesting feature but seeing they what to ban gas engines by 2035 it will be intersting to see how it plays out longer run. It would nice to see if a SUV is in the works seeing others have jumped on this design for bettervor worse.

This car is decade old design and it shows up during this review.
Same as Model S, on the outside anyway.
It does your head in when the generator revs and it doesn’t match what the cars doing, it puts your off. I drove a Nissan Note and it felt totally weird.

I almost bought a Fisker Karma a couple years ago.
I mean... A gas cap? An actual twist in gasp cap? My 2015 Explorer doesn't even have a gas cap. I'm not a fan of that split interior due to the center console front to back. Makes me think of riding in an old cab over ladder truck.
Plug in hybrids require a gas cap to seal the tank and keep it fresh as the gas may stay in there much longer than a regular car.
I'd rather have a gas cap.
Those capless tanks are a nightmare long term. Very easy for crap to get into the gas tank, and when the seal mechanism fails.. it's BIG $$. I think the entire tank needs to be replaced.
The "GS-6L" part of the name is silly...

As a design exercise it’s not bad because it really does look cool. They just have to move on to the engineering exercise portion of the project… there’s something seriously off when you have the footprint of a full size sedan on the outside, but compact dimensions on the inside. In the automotive world, it’s too expensive not to learn from others mistakes… the failure of Chevy’s Volt and BMWs i3 should make it pretty clear that people don’t want “range extender” EVs.
BMW also made the pure electric i3. Just sayin...

I have owned an original Fisker Karma since 2012, and in the last 10 years, the car has gotten less attractive, and jays gotten barely more advanced. The use of a serial hybrid, for example is an absurd anachronism when compared to a 200+ Mile ranged pure EVs.
So basically And over priced and over hyped hybrid. Might as well save some money and put it toward a 2021Tesla Model S Long Range. 👌

WTF is that hideous bruised lip they’ve stuck on the front????? I honestly don’t know why anyone would buy one of these Karmas when you can buy a normal S-Class, or EQS, or Taycan, or anything other than this mystery meat product. All of the other products offer better efficiency, performance, luxury, and desirability, not to mention you can actually get those other vehicles serviced easily.
IMO, a pure EV or pure ICE vehicle (or a normal hybrid) makes a lot more sense than a PHEV. PHEVs always weigh a ton because they’re lugging around both an engine and large battery pack, electric motors, fuel tank, etc. NO WAY WOULD I PAY $100,000 for this thing.
