Some tips from an EV6 GT-Line owner: - The small nav/climate menu works best when you default it to climate settings because you have redundant audio controls on the steering wheel and infotainment screen. - There are independently programmable "favourite" shortcut buttons on the steering wheel and the climate/nav screens; you can set one of them to "Utility Mode" which works like dog/pet/camp mode in other vehicles minus the "my dog is ok" message on the screen. Great for leaving your doggos in the car if you're running into a store - If you get a carplay dongle, consider getting a USB on/off switch to put inline with it, so you can reset the dongle without having to reach down to unplug the USB cord. - Battery preconditioning is only available using the terrible Kia nav system, make sure it is enabled as sometimes the Kia Connect app can randomly turn that feature off.
@@MrTekniqs Unfortunately the only way is to use the physical key to lock it while in utility mode, like a caveman. Hoping for an OTA to fix this - it's a common complaint.

Ran into a guy with one of these charging when I first bought my Ioniq 5. He was getting over 400 miles of range driving it as an Uber. He charged once a week and drove uber all week. Even before you get to the numbers of the lease, it as not a smart idea to lease a vehicle. At the end of the lease all you have to show for your payments, insurance, recharge and repairs is a stack of cancelled checks. You will not find the APR (30%+) you are paying in the lease. The dealership is not required to show the APR on a lease agreement. The vehicle goes back to the dealership at the end of the lease or you can buy it again at the fair market price 3 years from now. The only exception is you have a viable business where you can business expense all the payments.
May be true often, but not always. I leased a car few years back for 3 years and at the end of the lease the buyout price was lower, for me, than what I knew I could sell it for myself on Marketplace/Craigslist/etc. So I did exactly that. Listed it for sale while it was still a lease in my name - and found a buyer who was willing to wait a couple weeks for me to buy it outright (with my own money) and sell it to him for the agreed upon price.
Fun fact about discrepancy between this and Ioniq 5 (that makes I5 better): The difference between level 4 and 3 other than complete lift-off regen is indiscernable in the Kia whereas it is stepped in the I5, and then level 2 feels similar between the 2. Basically, there is a huge gap in regen feel between 3 and 2 in the Kia whereas it feels much more linear in the I5. I’d take the I5 if they were priced the same but on a lease, gotta take the Kia. I bought my I5 used, saving me about 20k in the midst of the pandemic, so I can’t complain

Not sure how you got that deal. I called Fort Collins Kia today. Got a quote on pretty much the same car and they are quoting $260/month. Oh Lord, such a deal would be it! Here in Europe, where our EU-Commission wants us all to work on the Climate-Problem, we have nearly no subsidys, paying 10 to 15.000 down, have an amount of 4 to 500 hundreds a month and after all, have the problem to either buy the car for the open rest of the lease-plan or sell it. (With the problem to get the open rest of the lease - and, probably, don´t "earn" money for the next start of a lease). Pretty well deal for you! Congrats!

We just viewed your traffic video on the EV6, and visited the website for Ft. Collins. We are ready to lease one, however I do not see the car with the Long Range battery available. Nor do I see any lease offers for Kia in Las Vegas or Phoenix. We are in Lake Havasu City AZ. Also do you have a "What's in the box" video on the EV6 explaining what 220v cable does it come with, who can I charge with, what's the pro's and Con's from you point. We are retired, I have a home, and can put in wall charging in a week, and solar charging in a month. Thanks- Roger
Coleton, welcome to the Hyundai Group Family. I own and 2024 Awd Ioniq6 SE low trim (38k) in North Carolina. I look forward to watching your journey. I do have auto lane change but don't have side view lane change cameras (because low trim). I have plug in android auto because lowest trim.
'23 Ariya's were going for 0 down, $90/month for base, and $150 Evolve+ AWD last month. I think some of the incentives went away though. But those were from Ohio/Kentucky without state incentives.
Should we continue to say "bought" a car with leases? He's renting it.
Unless you pay cash the day you "bought" you are also renting. The creditor owns it. The day you make your last payment and get title is the day you call yourself an owner.
@@jmarxful So I assume you consider everyone with a mortgage a renter as well?
@@patrick7228even if your house and property are paid off, you are still renting from the government. See what happens when you don't pay your taxes.
@@jmarxfulYou take possession at the end for no more money. You don’t get that w/ a lease. Buying a car is not renting even though the bank is holding the title.
This is the dumbest thread ever.
When the lady of the house agrees that its was. Good buy without needing the car its a huge win.
If you have your phone on you. To unlock the door just push the indent on the handle and it will unlock...Great deal!! Thanks for showing. Also, an even better deal might be picking up a used one...We'll see.
Trying to get my cousin who lives in FoCo to lease the LLR at this dealer for $114/month with $1500 down! Crazy deals!
I started looking into leases around Phoenix after seeing this. Suspiciously, I found one that says - for a 2 year lease - only $36/mo!!!
US$189 is about £149 in the UK - to spend that small an amount here you would get an awful Maxus Electric Pickup, I think not even the electric city cars have lease prices that low. I’m leasing a new Countryman S E Sport and the cheapest lease I could find for that was like 5 times that much over 4 years with £2000 down and 10k miles a year, no servicing or insurance in that cost either.
Lease definitely seems the best way to engage with these Kia/Hyundai EVs, cause if you have to replace a battery in these cars the battery will cost just as much as the entire car was new.
You do realize they come with 8 year 100k mile battery warranty right?
@@runany1 Yeah, and Kia/Hyundai are notorious for making up reasons to deny that paper warranty. There’s already been multiple news and TH-cam stories of warranty denial due to scratches on the underside plastic shield, particularly out of Canada.
I just leased an ev9. Did a lot of shopping around, I got a deal I’m happy with but the lack of transparency, the haggling and battering is exhausting. I wish there was an easier way!
There is you lease or buy a Tesla. No nonsense no dealer bs
@@Shiftheads true, I wanted a boxy 7 seater and the model X was not it. Rivain might have been an option but the R1S was out of my budget
@@nehtals I like ev9 too but I'd pay the 10k more and get a 10k mile R1S instead. In fact that's what my next car is going to be
49 states of jealousy😢. These deals are the only incentive to buy a CCS (excl.Ford,Rivian) vehicle. Kudos to Colorado and Fort Collins Kia for proving that EV ownership is possible for EVERYONE!
Lease price is impressive. I wonder if they can do 199/mo with nothing down for RW model on a 24 month lease?
I have the EV6 AWD wind, same color. Great car.
I got a Wind AWD in interstellar gray. I love that color.
This had me pretty hyped, but when I try and look local to me (Texas) - it's not so good. Appreciate the content.
Congrats on the new EV6 Coleton, and that crazy lease deal! Enjoy!
Why can't I get a lease like this in South Florida? I looked around -- leases are much higher here.
In Germany the IONIQ 5 was leasing for 220 per month, a Model Y is at least 500 per month (and then they’re surprised sales are not going well haha). I didn’t get it though because if the insurance, which was almost the same as the leasing haha
Congratz Coleton!! What a deal. Great purchase.
Interesting! Considering features and specs, is this now a better deal than a used Audi e-Tron?
You've got skills, keep honing them
Fun fact about discrepancy between this and Ioniq 5 (that makes I5 better):
The difference between level 4 and 3 other than complete lift-off regen is indiscernable in the Kia whereas it is stepped in the I5, and then level 2 feels similar between the 2.
I have the same "have too many cars" sickness. Im actually on my way out of DIA right now, headed to CA to pick up another (older) P85. Too inexpensive to pass up. 🤣
Even with government incentives, dealer is losing money on this deal. Cars are back to quick depreciation. Expensive EVs in particular.
A friend bought a 2022 EV6 new for around $60K. He was considering a trade-in for an EV9, but the dealer only offered $20K! Just one data point, but ugh!
I would take that deal . Not like that in Illinios.
Ollie stole the show ❤
Colorado rules for having that additional $5k off EVs. I don't think Arizona has any of that and I'm about to end a lease on our ID.4 so I'm in the market for a great lease deal.
Dog is the best actor in this show.
Thank you for sharing this information. I’m in the process of getting an EV6.
My cell bill is $25 a month.
We are not the same
That's why it's "his" bill
Did I understand that Car Play is either plug in or requires a wireless adapter with this model?
It'll be interesting if Kyle's new house has a bigger driveway because you can guarantee he's going to fill it up with more cars, I love it when he ask a Alyssa if she would like a Kia EV 6 "No we don't need any more cars" 😂
Gotta pump those new sales numbers up. Also given how the market has been, wonder what they say it would be worth after depreciation at lease end?
Regardless: none of this has to do with the owner, enjoy the deal and car!!!
Not sure how you got that deal. I called Fort Collins Kia today. Got a quote on pretty much the same car and they are quoting $260/month. The salesman said the guy in the video was from out of state and had a 2.3% sales tax rate in his state. Is that true? What salesman did you deal with? Please share!!!
What's the best way to be alerted when leases like this are available ? Great that you found it but when I do a quick look on Kia deals, they're 3x the price of this deal. Help !
Congrats!
Just checked locally for me and it would be $3k down and $250 a month.
I’d do that Fort Collins deal but this one’s a little out of reach.
yep it looks somewhat like a hatchback because of the long wheelbase but it's the size of a golf wagon
I NEED AN EV9 LEASE DEAL LIKE THIS!!!!!!!!
Hmm this is Colorado resident deal then it’s not applied to to everyone. The CO rebate is very generous compared to other states at this point
Man I like the wheels
Right on 👍 don’t black them out 👎
Super informative video. I hope a lot of EV-haters see it and call Kia Fort Collins for their new car. My wife and I have 2 EVs already, but I would be calling Kia Fort Collins if I needed a new car even though I live in NY. All the best. Thank you.
What do you pay for the tags (license plate registration) ... I believe Colorado DMV's base it off MSRP? thx:)
STOP saying BUYING.....you're LEASING IT! BIG DIFFERENCE! DID he get the wear insurance???
If I could get that deal here in Ohio I would be out the door to snatch one tomorrow! Sadly, I can't. :(
I love this car but I would definitely get the tech package or gt line.
Did you say they will work with out of state buyers? 😮
I am pretty picky about wheels and I could easily live with those.
Wife and I are driving up to FOCO NOW!
Did I hear 10,000 mi/year?
Yes you did
Just FYI everybody. This is for Colorado residents only. The rebates are only good for residents
This got me excited. Then I checked on the lease deals in California and Whaaaaaaaa Whaaaaa Whaaaaaa. They suck. Must be a Colorado thing.
Love the dog!! And love the Spaceballs reference too…
Dam I got screwed leased a 2024 GTLine EV6 extended range rear wheel drive 398 / 3yr 10k mileage but put down 13k retail was 56k lmk what you think did I?
LOL in Western NY that would be $3500 down snd $490/mo.
I have never leased a vehicle and hated the idea of leasing a vehicle. I recently stumbled across the deals of a Lucid and can't believe how stupidly cheap these cars can lease for.
Which lucid .. how much ?
In Virginia it will cost you $1200 a year in personal property tax.
I got a EV9 light long range for $300 and $1500 signing with first payment 24/10k in Northern California. How is that lease?
Remember with a lease your insurance may double or even triple. Especially for a $55k car.
Which this deal was available here(Montreal, Canada)
Why do you keep calling it “buying” and “owning?” You’re neither buying or owning. It has to be given back in two years.
You could buyout the lease at anytime but most people will wait until the end of the lease to do so. It's only Telsa that you have to give back the vechicle cause they got rid of the buyout option a little after covid. Do note that when financing a vehicle you don't own it either until you fully pay it off.
@@volcalstoneso true, thanks for the post.
I see this type deal on several EV models... but my local dealers insist these deals don't exist, and literally offer a "deal" that is literally 3 times the cost of this deal.... $4.5k down and $550 a month. What is the "secret" to getting a lease deal like this.. Interested in Audi, or Kia EV6
