- Jeremy and Aelita, using data sent to them through the network from Franz Hopper, manage to reconstruct part of Lyoko: Sector 5. It would seem that things have taken a turn for the better: the real William reappears at Kadic, apparently unscathed. His unexpected return comes not a moment too soon, because Sissi-who forcefully assumed editorial control at the “Kadic Herald”-has taken a marked interest in finding out more about him. But William, now clearly still under Xana’s control, kidnaps Aelita and absconds with her onto Lyoko…
I wish William wasn’t controlled by XANA but then again it makes the show more epic.

8:15 kinda scary how XANA's learned to emulate the people he's possessed! He started out as just possessing whoever was in reach, and doing whatever he had to do. Anyone could tell something was wrong in an instant! But with time he's grown craftier, it's brilliant.
You can possess a person's look but not the personality that scary.
XANA must have detailed information about William's personality and mannerisms after enslaving him, and hence was able to perfectly emulate him to make everyone believe it was truly him. I wouldn't doubt he has complete access to his mind and can study it thoroughly in between the time after Lyoko's destruction.
I'd like to think it was a switch he was able to turn on inside him

Aelita never seems to use Creativity when she should. Especially in Season 1 and 2 when that was her only power.
To be fair, Aelitas creativity is taxing on her. It makes sense why she doesn’t use it much
Jim would have been a better choice than William. After all, when he's not being a teacher and confronting the group, he's an actual big help!

While it isn't official, the novels explain this in that adults can't be fully virtualized on Lyoko. This is actually supported by the show seeing as Franz Hopper doesn't have a corporeal form on Lyoko. He's just a ball of light and always has been (as proven in the flashback episode where he and Aelita entered Lyoko - he has *always* been that ball of light). So it could be dangerous to try and add an adult into the group seeing as it might require Jeremy to create another program or fix the current program that (potentially) won't allow adults to have a corporeal form on Lyoko.
Jim, Sissy, and William should have been recruited way earlier. Is the fault of the Lyoko warriors biase dislikes against them.

I love Code Lyoko to DEATH.. But in this season in particular there's a major flaw.. there's no reason why Jeremie wouldn't devirtualize Aelita everytime William tries to throw her into the digital sea.. Unless there's a tower that she has to deactivate it makes no sense.
Either way this is my childhood cartoon and i will cherish it until the day i die ❤

William probably deactivated the devirtualization program before he took Aelita to Lyoko with him.
It was stated in a different episode that Jeremy cannot devirtualize someone if they are being held by XANA because he prevents that from happening

This is a amazing feeling.I watched this show as a kid. Then my parents couldn't afford cable so I stopped watching it after season 2. I specifically remember the key and wanting to know more. Now 12 years later I'm on the final season. With lyoko destroyed, most likely momentarily, and William trapped in...something. Also who would have thought William would have joined???? Man my 11 year old self would have went crazy!!!

I like that as the series has gone on, Jim's quickly become the cool teacher that the students all like, because early on, people kept on taking potshots at him and making fun of him.

the "what, william is XANA-fied?" shock was not present. when he appeared with the eye on his chest in the last episode it just ruined the whole effect. plus the scenes in the intro.

William has the Eye on his forehead and chest because his evolution of his XANAfication makes him seem more normal, he can still have the Eye for his Eyes but it's not for his Avatar.

i always thought the reason they never did that was because kids would see at hurting themselves like ulrich could stab himself and it would fine but they would never show that. also the first no clue i guess he wanted her to run in case an attack was lunched.
William could have jumped immediately in the digital sea after existing sector 5 instead of flying aimlessly for no reason
Maybe he was afraid that yumi could aim at aelita to devirtualise her. Perhaps he wanted to defeat the lyoko warriors first and throw her in the digital sea after that
But he didn't have much too lose. The chance he had succeeded here would be greater than when the desert sector was still present.
BECAUSE PLOT.
Because he needed to deal with the lyoko warriors before Franz popped out of the sea. The terrain really was a pro's and con's scenario. Pro Franz has to go to sector 5 to drop Aelita off, con Franz could just drop Aelita on the overwing and it's just William and a manta to kill Franz, and he hasn't shown to be able to both fight and levitate.

The transition from William to Xanafied William reminds me of the interconnection of Nightmare and Siegfried from Soulcalibur 2.
So cool. New season. New intro. So much William. This episode was so great.
But there is something I've been wondering, whats the treat? Can XANA even attack if lyoko is gone? Even after XANA left lyoko he keeps using the towers to attack, but when lyoko is gone, the attacks stop, so y even bring lyoko back?
Because they need to know what XANA is planning in the Digital Sea and they can't just let him take over the world.
Also, I'm sure XANA could attack Earth even without Lyoko. He could activate a tower on one of his own Replikas and the team wouldn't be able to get to it without the Skid and/or Lyoko.
Infinity Percival yeah, this was before the replikas or the digital sea was ever mentioned so i didn't know that XANA could activate a tower simply by creating one first.
I think xana wanted to make long term plans, but maybe he didn't expect that jeremie could recreate lyoko or at least not so soon.

Did the opening always spoil Aelita getting wings? I remember the vehicles strongly but i swear i never seen Aelita use her wings as a kid lol. Also i always dug the new outfits, especially Yumi's. Odds cat ears took getting used to though lol

Always thought it would've been more interesting if William became an avatar for XANA himself, rather than just his minion. Sort of how Dai Shi fused with Jarrod in Power Rangers Jungle Fury.
They could've done the same kind of drama, with William trying to free himself from XANA's influence and XANA becoming more and more human over time.
I have a theory to that Jeremy it's probably because William has this unexplainable power that allows him to levitate shown when he destroyed the core of the Lyoko

I like the intro for this season. Focusing on showing one character at a time solves the problem of the season 2-3 intros, where the images changed so fast that it was almost impossible to process what you were seeing. Now, the transitions between the images are exciting without being overwhelming.
