    Literally every product applied on my face also go on my neck, chest, and from my fingertips to my elbows. This includes prescription tretinoin which I’ve used every night for years. I’ve just begun using Omnilux Red Light Therapy Mask and I am going to order the Omnilux Neck & Chest mask. I’m 69 years old, I’m very dedicated to good skincare. My family lives well into their late 90’s, so I’m in this for the long haul.

    I wish these two would talk more about things that affect brown skin. A lot of light therapy will worsen hyperpigmentation for brown skin, or might not even be an option if you are too brown. I'm light-to-medium brown with acne scars and hyperpigmentation, and my Indian dermatologist said I should stay away from most light-based skin therapy.

    • @shanicadees9787
      @shanicadees9787 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +33

      It's so frustrating that we've been left out of most research! My Musely derm said not to use red light therapy on melasma but for hyperpigmentation it's ok. The light companies market toward ALL skin types and use dark models which doesn't mean it's really for us 🤦🏾‍♀️

    I have begun trying to care for my neck along with my face. I'm in my late 60's, so it's a better late than never game for me. I tried using some of the lactic acid (aha) lotion that I use regularly for my eczema on my face and neck as my 1 x per week exfoliant. My face had no reaction. But my neck got very irritated and inflamed, like a red rash all over and very itchy as most rashes are. That was a lesson learned. It's been a week, and I'm still using "big gun" emollients to calm the skin - Avene Cicalfate or Laroche Posey Triple Repair - plus sunscreen. That said, I do have sunspots and lines and definite signs of aging that I've been treating using a retinol in pm and vitamin c with ceramides in am, plus moisturizer and sunscreen for nearly a year now, with very little visible results. Which is why I tried the aha exfoliant. My bad. 😑

    Thanks for this video! I’m nearly 56, and I have watched my neck age more rapidly than the rest of my face for years. 😩 Question: Do you see good results with threads for laxity that is more advanced than the “tech neck” bands? I am not ready mentally or financially to invest in a face/neck lift, and I understand threads won’t give anywhere near the same results, but wonder if it is an interim step worth considering. Thanks!

      They literally have a video of a black woman and a woman that appears to be south Asian. As far as skin cancer and certain skin treatments it would make sense as to why they have type 1-3 skin tone because those are the skin types most prone to cancer and are more suitable for laser procedures they’re discussing. Also conditions like rosacea are more common in those with prominent Northern European origins rather than others of different heritages but yes can still happen. Your ignoring that they showed a sub Saharan and south Asian woman in attempts to make a point. Why?

      Australian Gold has a great tinted mineral sunscreen that's water resistant & goes for ~ $16 - $18 for 3 oz. so it's pretty reasonable as far as sunscreens go. I've used it for years on my face & neck & haven't had any problems.

      @@lindabenson1764 I should try that once my neck heals. Right now it's burning like hell and last 2 days I could not even use my regular face cream on it, had to go with vaseline. I thought it got a bit better today, and after shower decided to skip everything else on my face as well, so accidentally don't transfer that onto my neck. But as soon as I put cream on my neck, I had to wash it off right away, it burnt so much.

She uses and sees the best results with thermage fx as it has updated hand held technology that has settings that’s adjust which prevents provider error from melting fat pads like the aforementioned lasers.
