I invested in an anti-wrinkle pillow. I was skeptical because they were expensive, but I bought one with 40% off during black Friday last year. For me personally, there was a huge improvement with morning puffiness and under-eye bags. I used to wake up with a swollen face since I am a side sleeper and it took me usually an hour each morning to get my face back to normal. Since I started using this pillow I never ever experienced morning puffiness. Also, I used to form creasing between my nose and my cheek which was progressing into a visible wrinkle over time, since I started using this pillow the creasing is just not happening anymore. I do not know if these pillows work to prevent crow's feet, forehead lines, etc. but for me, the huge difference was with the morning puffiness, under-eye bags, and the creasing around the nose and mouth.
Same for me. I was developing permanent wrinkles around my ocular bone from side sleeping and they have disappeared from using one of those special pillows. Best skin care product I've ever purchased.
I double cleanse about 2-3 a week, first using my Bioderma sébium gel moussant every day in the morning and night, and let’s say Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays I also use Bioderma’s gel gommant which is granulated and helps me remove everything.
The pillow kind of sucks, I wish I had seen this beforehand. It's not that comfortable and when I wake up my body hurts more frequently than it did previously.
I got one from Amazon that's probably different than the one they are talking about. It is worth its weight in gold. I no longer have the deep wrinkles I was developing around my eyes from being a side sleeper. Plus it's super comfortable.
Slugging changed everything for me. Now I use the CeraVe cream on my lips (it has hyaluronic acid too), let it dry a bit and then put Vaseline on top, then go to sleep. I do this in the daytime too. totally changed my lips to the better. I used to have the most crusty lips ever before this.
Please, make a video about skincare around eyes.... is a separate moisturizing cream a necessity? Separate cleansers and exfoliants? Should we use separate retinol and vitamin c serum? Targeted sunscreen? Thank you💪💪
Surprisingly, I do enjoy that pillow with those special indentations, same with my cat! She finds the small hole in the pillow comfortable. I think the silk pillow cases is more comfortable for the skin. Thank you for the video from myself and my 🐈⬛ 😊
Thank you for talking about pressure on the ear when sleeping. No one ever talks about it. I got shingles in 2022 and it was on the left side of my face. It went from the corner of my mouth, up the side of my face and touched the corner of my eye and got to my ear but not in it. Anyway, ever since my left ear has become way more sensitive then it ever was. And sleeping on my left side is the only way I can sleep. I have yet to find a pillow that doesn't cause uncomfortable pressure on my ear. Now I have one to try. Thank you very much for mentioning the doughnut pillow for people with ear issues!
Sure, if you sleep on your back. The rest of us end up with greasy looking pillowcases after one night from skincare… 😬 Looks gross, so I washed and donated mine. $$ down the drain
I’m going to say as a side sleeper I have noticed fine lines exactly placed how my face smushed together when I sleep. I have pretty good skin and the sun never created any problems for my skin personally. I have always taken good care of my skin as well. For me personally it’s definitely from sleeping on my side. When I use medical tape underneath my eyes where it smushes together I don’t have the fine lines the next morning. When I sleep without the tape I do have the fine lines. I am really trying to sleep on my back these days but I’m here to tell you it’s difficult at times 😞 I will continue to try to train myself because when I use the tape it is too strong and has left micro sized broken capillaries underneath 1 eye which I am getting laser to improve. 😒 it always seems like trading one thing off for another. I was also told by a plastic surgeon you can use the tape rather than the frownies. Little did I know that it could potentially cause broken capillaries. If you do this use an oil like baby oil to remove tape before removing alone. For me though personally the medical tape is still too strong.
Thank you so much for talking about the beauty pillows. I still see them everywhere and almost bought one, but still wasn't sure if it was really necessary for everyday use.
Just wanted to say here, A major one stop-shop for Psoriasis is something call Andiroba Oil (a.k.a. Crab Oil). I have sensitive skin, diagnosed with dengue in January, psoriasis rashes all over by week 3, used Andiroba Oil just after showering with a microfiber wash rag, used oil on my damp skin, after my first few days, no visible peeling, first week rashes healed, after 1 month marks disappeared into thin air- note: hyperpigmantation is my best friend
I just started exercising and swimming more regularly and would love to see a video on specific skincare for those environments. Everything is indoors, but I find the combination of sweat, chlorine, and water so drying for my skin. Also wondering your views on the sauna for the skin. 😊
Instead of a mattress that’s cooling I would invest in a bed jet. I can’t sleep without it. Basically it’s a little ac unit that shoots cool air under your blankets. You can also set up a biorhythmic schedule to help you sleep and wake up easy. Saves you so much money on your AC bill. Also love the heating part too during the winter.

Per my dermatologist, if you stop using minoxidil the results stop - because the environment that caused hair loss is still there once the drug goes away. The only permanent change is a hair transplant.
Dr Maxfield- you should get a Chilly Pad for your bed. They’re great for people with PTSD but it’s a mattress pad that pumps distilled water thru it in channels and you can set it to whatever temp you want from like 50°-95°F. It’s lovely. Chilisleep has rebranded to Sleepme, and the Chilipad we tested is now called the Cube Sleep System. The product itself has not changed.
I love my anti-wrinkle pillow - it is another step to long term slow-age for me. I really noticed one of my wrinkle around the eye disappear because it was a typical sleep wrinkle. also my face is less puffy, since my head lays higher.
Please talk about broken capillaries and how to deal with them remove them. Causes. I have Sleep apnea and stopped using the CPAP and I sleep fine but I was thinking the straps contributed but it’s gotten worse after months of not using it. I use Lumigan for glaucoma (latisse) and it turned my brown eyes green!!! Not happy. I liked having brown eyes. It also discolored the skin around my eyes.
Anti-dandrum shampoo containing ketaconazole helped with my acne issues, especially on my forehead. Note: I did not apply the shampoo on my entire face, just on my forehead whenever I washed my hair with that shampoo, which is once a week (but I do wash my hair daily, just with water).
My bf has seborreic dermatitis on the scalp + face and he started recently using ketoconazol shampoo (Nizoral), so I told him to dilute a bit of shampoo in his hand with water and use it as a cleanser. His face looks like baby's booty cheeks now, and he hasn't even started salicylic acid yet. His redness and flaking is gone and he didn't get irritated anywhere. As a moisturizer, he uses Ziaja Marigold cream (a very cheap one, here costs 2.50€) and is working very nicely since he has dry skin on the flaking area.

I think the kind of wrinkles those silk pillowcases prevent aren't the permanent, static, fine ones that are more due to aging & UV damage that skincare & retinoids take care of. They're more those hugeass,, funny-looking but temporary ones we (or at least I 😂) tend to get from napping way longer than usual, which usually happens unexpectedly & so is done in strange, awkward positions in or out of bed (or library desk, etc lol) because it's just so random & definitely unintended. You know the kind where you wake up horrified because you realize your 4pm class already started so you know you're going to miss it lol. And you look in the mirror to see you have a brand new cowlick on the left side of your head that won't budge even with big splashes of water on top of that huge & deep Harry Potter scar you now also have on the left side of your forehead. So you weren't gonna go to class anyway even if you had enough time to get there before it started. Who else knows what I'm talking about & can so relate? 😂🤣🤪 But...who the heck would have had a memory foam pillow wrapped in a hundred-dollar silk pillowcase ready just for that possible occurrence anytime, any place? 🤪
Dr. Shah! You should have plugged your lip balm! It's such a great product for exactly what you guys were talking about and not everyone watched the video where you first showed your products and explained everything behind them. I think a lot more people would have at least visited your website and also bought your special lip balm.
Have to be careful because those of us with eczema can react to castor seed oil and it's in so many lip color and lip care products. It makes all of the skin on my lips peel. Had to toss dozens of lip products. Once I eliminated it, based on something the Doctors here said, my lips healed almost overnight.
Just another hack that works cause it did for me! I can't remember right this second, but there is a strong ingredient in a dandruff shampoo that kills fungus on ur fingernails! Yes! I had fungus I got from a nail salon years ago on just 2 nails and I used a dandruff shampoo a couple times a week and all of a sudden one day, I noticed my FUNGUS ON MY NAIL WAS GONE! So, I looked up online and researched " nail fungus and dandruff shampoo" and yes, I figured out that the ingredient that I can't think of right now, DID take care of the fungus nails! I was so siked about it and that a couple yrs ago and to this day, never came back!
My Maybelline Lifter Gloss Has Hyaluronic Acid And I've Been Using It As My Lip Balm Before Bed. After A Few Nights Of Using it everyday, I started noticing the edge of my lips would be drier than usual and almost the feeling of a cold sore.
I think adding a hyaluronic acid serum acid at night has compromised my skin barrier. I’ve been a tretinoin user for years. I began to sandwich a moisturizer a few years ago when it began to be irritating even after using it. I changed to using the acid before tret and moisturizer after. The results are not as good. Now I know why.
Would you treat the skin of young children differently? I always apply sunscreen on my kids but it’s a pain to actually use oils / balms to wash their face… is micellar water enough?
Hi guys! I enjoy watching your content as woman in my 30's. Working on an effective skin care routine for my sensitive skin you guys are very helpful. However I am left wondering what men should be doing. I imagine the basic steps will remain the same, like cleanse, exfoliate and moisturize. But maybe because hormonal differences there could be things men should watch out for in their routine or fe. dealing with a shaved face or beard. So if you could make a video about a men's routine I'd be very curious and also I'd like to help out my brother (30's) and father (late 60's) to make them look their best. Thank you.
I did have tinea versicolor on my face, with characteristic patches of skin discoloration. I'm using Ketoconazole as a mask every day and it's really helping. I found that trick after so much research, reading all I could find after I identified what exactly was causing the discoloration. Doctors were not helping, discarding the condition as melasma. Since I suffer from bouts of itching and flaking on my scalp due to that dreaded Malassezia furfur, I already had the shampoo on hand.
I used 1 particular lip mask in about 1.5 months and the top of my lips on the rim, is plumped for sure. It looks like I got lip injection on the top rim of my lips. I thought I used the lip mask too much cause I applied it 3 to 4 times a day! So, now, I have puffy top edge ( cupids bow area ). So the Hyaluronic acid in the lip mask and how much I used it in a short period of time, definitely made my top lip area look like I recently got fillers.
Great content, I heard about Tretinion for the first time from you guys and I started using it since last year and it cleared my acne perfectly well. But I started breaking out heavily again specifically on my jawline and chin, I didn't stop my tret treatment and I didn't change my routine, I am so confuse as to what Happened. Is this normal or I should stop my routine?
Silk pillow cases help with creases on the face and hair. Women with long hair get less creases in their hair from silk pillow cases. I literally take one with me when I travel.
I tried Minoxidil 5% on my eyebrows. I ended up with a bald patch and the skin below my eyebrows became puffy and sensitive. I ditched it and thankfully the bald spot grew back. I might have had better luck with the 2%.
I bought sleep and glow-finally caved to all the hype. Wonder if I got a defective pillow. Pillow came extremely tightly rolled and I don’t think it ever regained shape-poorly made. Fabric over foam is not tight so the pillow is basically flat with hardly any cut out for head when side sleeping. Pillow is extremely thin, i prefer a thinner pillow but this pillow is puny. Complete waste of money
I don't know if it's weird or not, but I have tasted some of my fragrance free moisturizers by accident as I applied them to my lips before applying lip balm, and some of them taste quite sweet
I use minoxidil for my eyebrows. I just dip a cotton swab in the bottle and give each brow a swipe before bed. It's working. Cost effective as well.

But...who the heck would have had a memory foam pillow wrapped in a hundred-dollar silk pillowcase ready just for that possible occurrence anytime, any place? 🤪
Dr. Shah! You should have plugged your lip balm! It's such a great product for exactly what you guys were talking about and not everyone watched the video where you first showed your products and explained everything behind them. I think a lot more people would have at least visited your website and also bought your special lip balm.
They did.
I use a doughnut pillow for my cartllage ear piercings ❤
Could you guys do a video on the benefits of spearmint tea for acne
No
Have very dry lips. Remedy is so moisturizing
I love these guys! Personally, I use organic castor oil for my lips and eye brows!!
“Raw Dog hyaluronic acid on your lips” 😳😂
😂😂😂
Peppermint oil in the lip gloss. Works like a charm
I feel like you guys walk into the office every morning, see each other, and immediately crack up laughing. 😂
Thank you for this very informative video. You answered some questions I had been wondering about. Awesome video!❤
castor oil for double cleansing ?? I love that stuff.
Was it the Ketoconazole in the dandruff shampoo?
@@lorijean1487 i believe it is one of the following...terbinafine, undecylenic acid, clotrimazole, argentum metallicum, and tolnaftate.
Have you heard of slugging with diaper rash cream? What are your thoughts on that?
A prostaglandin eye drop for Glaucoma can have systemic side effects too. Some of us have had severe irregular and fast heartbeats.
what are your thoughts on dry brushing? especially for exfoliating the body as well as the lips.
Thank You, so much for your videos and the skin care resource on your site.
Yes to an eyebrow video please!!!
Please do a video on lash serum/eyebrow serums for growth and which workes
Eyebrow video!!!!! Yes!
Would you treat the skin of young children differently? I always apply sunscreen on my kids but it’s a pain to actually use oils / balms to wash their face… is micellar water enough?
Video on pigmented/dark outer lips please
Thank you.
What are your thoughts on pillows that help with neck bumps?
I have a huge hump on my way neck turns out I need neck surgery to fix it 😢
Sleeping on your left side is preferred during pregnancy and for folks with acid reflux, increasing risk of wrinkles on the left side of your face.
Hydrating mists, good or bad?
Does sleeping on your back prevent wrinkles on the face?
That's why I take the ginger/tumeric/tart cherry capsule😆
Hey, please can you do something on castor oil for skin, eyebrows and lashes
I use 100% Shea butter on my lips
I heard rosemary oil could be good to help grow eyebrows as well
Silk pillow cases help with creases on the face and hair. Women with long hair get less creases in their hair from silk pillow cases. I literally take one with me when I travel.
Tried the pillow, but it was an obstacle to spooning my hubs. Sleep wrinkles happen. I woke up with one and spent an absurd amount on that pillow.
Can you please make a video on a safe skin care routine for breast feeding women 😊
Can’t do double cleanse too much for my dry, sensitive skin!
I'm not sure raw dog is the right term for this hack, but it makes me giggle every time Dr. Shaw says it! 😂
I can't use lip products with HA. They cause fever blisters for me.
Hi Dr @Docterly please suggest me a remedy for Lichen Amyloidosis ..and please let me know any proven treatments for this ?
I am ordering the lip balm right now sounds amazing! I wish it had SPF though.
"We actually are somewhat dynamic while we sleep"...even covered in Frownies...😂
I don't know if it's weird or not, but I have tasted some of my fragrance free moisturizers by accident as I applied them to my lips before applying lip balm, and some of them taste quite sweet
Happy Cappy is a great zinc face wash!
What anti dandruff shampoo you recommend for face ?
whats a good moisturizer for lips??
Hi I love your videos I was wondering what would help with armpit dermatitis?
