    You may have to treat the wrought iron with a rust coating for being in the environment. Be sure to do it early so the rust does not get a start.

    Julie may have thought of this, but if she plans to use the patio after dark a lot, be sure and put some pots of white flowers. They will glow in what light you have going on. Colored flowers just look dark and don’t show well at all. Good idea to have both.

    You might consider two umbrellas or a sail cloth for the outdoor space to provide some shade. I also agree with previous comment, terra cotta pot dry out fast so some sort of irrigation system to keep your new trees moist so they don't dry out and die. Lost lost my olive tree a few months ago.

    I'm a huge church bell fan. The reverberation of the sounds shake you to your core in a great way. No messing around or delay or wasted time. You get right to your projects. I admire that so much. Can not wait to see the clothes you purchased at the town market. If most of your background colors in the building and road colors are so natural and neutral, you need to add the pop pop wow so not to disappear as you enjoy your Americano in the village center. So cute and comfy outfits. If I may a suggestion to add to your beautiful outside decor, purchase a very sturdy umbrella that extends out over your furniture. You can then use it on those extremely hot days to keep you cool and out of the hot sun. They usually wind up and down. When they are down, they take up little space. The one other idea would be to add a outdoor rug like sisal or some artificial woven floor covering under the furniture that you put together. It will also cool off and cut down on the heat reflection and be easier for your feet to handle if you choose to go barefoot up there. OK, one other thing, is a waterproof rubbermaid type closet or lift top storage for your cushions that you can easily put them away and take them out. You could store your candles, outside drinking (non-glass) glasses, napkins, accoutrements, etc. and not have to worry about having to go up and downstairs as much. OK, I just thought of one more thing is a very tiny alcohol fire feature for the table top. They can be as small or as large as you want and you can add that add'l ambiance.without firewood and there is little to no smoke involved to bother the neighbors. Sorry to throw all these thoughts out there but I can see you really enjoying that space for many months of the year.

    • @queens6583
      @queens6583 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Wow Maureen, every one of your suggestions is exactly what I was thinking and will really finish off the space for maximum comfort and use. I was also thinking of some kind of privacy screen on the side facing the neighbor who's windows are very close and they might even appreciate not having people looking down into their home. I thought she could use the poles left from the laundry line to put up some screening. Anyway, I hope she takes your advice.

    You could put some banquette seating under the window in the living room, it may be useful for when you have extra guests or putting shoes and and off as you enter the house. The terrace looks Wonderful!

    I'm so happy for you! I smiled all through your video. Maybe leave a pole or 2 and get some type of climbing plant, or use them to put a canopy for some cover during the long hot days of summer!

      Yes, decided to keep the poles. Maybe to use as fun lights to hang from.

    The Terrace looks fabulous. Lovely choice with the olive trees as they are extremely hardy. If you find that soil blows out of the pots on a windy day buy some bags of tiny rocks to put on top. As well as holding down the soil it also helps when you water the plants to hold the moisture in. Maybe you could find an old trough in the Flea Market and plant Rosemary, Parsley, Chilli, Oregano to use when you are cooking..

    Your terrace looks beautiful I especially love the old sewing machine stand and marble. The neighbors laundry idea is really cool! Your living room is really cozy! I love your pictures and coat stand. It’s fun to go to looking at antique stores or outdoor markets. Absolutely beautiful!

    My gosh, Julie, your energy knows no bounds in getting so much done in 72 hours. It must be that wonderful Americano coffee in the square that does it! Great job on your terrace! Not sure if it’s in your plan, but I recommend to add color such as decorative cozy pillows on the furniture and some bar decor on your side table to add character. Lovely plants in those pots will definitely add a splash of color. The light fixture and brass coat rack, for me, are the highlights of the sitting room. But I ❤️ it all. Happy Mother”s Day! 🌹

    Great terrace treatment - classic, spare, yet comfy. The olive trees, inspired. 45 minute assembly = 6 hours . . . LOVE IT !! Tutti perfeti.

    I am no professional, but I am visualizing vintage string lights. And maybe a small trickly fountain, as if you need more ambiance 😅. Your terrace looks so cozy and inviting. I love your channel!
