    Fair play Ash. I admire you using pressure on a roof. I've done it once and never again,.the amount of mess it made was unbelievable. Spent more time cleaning up afterwards than doing the job.

      The fsc does keep mess to a minimum, but yeah, cleaning up afterwards is half the job.😆👍🏼

    Great job Ash, can you do a piece on your next roof clean on how you deal with the biocide run off. As I wasn’t sure if you disconnected the water butt or the down pipes.

    Have you ever had any problems with using a pressure washer ? I.e getting water in the house or damaging tiles etc . Always fancied trying roof cleaning but the scraping puts me off. This way looks a lot easier. Just most people seem to be against using pressure so confused.. Great video

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  ปีที่แล้ว

      Never had a problem. There are a few people that seem to like commenting on things that they don’t have experience of. I use high flow at low pressure, followed by biocide for long term maintenance.

    • @adamangler
      @adamangler ปีที่แล้ว

      @@aemackintosh interesting. Certainly makes roof cleaning look more appealing than scraping. I agree I think sometimes people jump on the bandwagon of things they've heard rather than experienced.

    Great video. Can I just ask what degree nozzles you are using on FSC? Also, do you run your machine on full throttle and reduce pressure with unloader valve or do you turn down revs on machine also?

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah, the machine is designed to run at full revs so the oil is thrown around the engine properly, so it’s better to use the unloader valve to reduce the pressure.👍🏼

    Another great video ash, could I ask your opinion on a set up I was going to clean my bungalow tiled roof with I’ve a 14” whirlaway cleaner on a 24ft whirlaway pole my washer is approx 15lpm and 2200psi would this do the job ok? I’m also nervous about damaging roof or water ingress into house am I just overthinking it rather than doing it. Thanks

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven’t used a 15 litres per minute machine for roof cleaning before. That pole setup sounds a bit cumbersome. Try it out. Start on the ground first, see how it responds when you pull the trigger. Adjust the pressure down if needed and then progress on to the roof.

    One question, how do you get the biocide/ soap up the pole, my spinaclean set up only draws chems using their fan hose? I've got an xjet but I'm looking for a more accurate way of applying it.
