    Here's the time stamps as I spoke for longer than expected as normal!
    Timecodes
    0:00 - Intro
    1:45 - Visit the property & meet the customers
    4:33 - Prequalify your jobs and find out more
    6:52 - Show your face and you in action on your business pages
    9:10 - Keep in touch with the customers
    11:54 - Educate the customers

    Great set of tips - makes me think more about customer contacts and managing expectations as well. Good communication helps everyone understand what is required and what will be 'supplied' at what cost.

      100%! Even down to keeping in contact long after you’re gone for that repeat custom. That’s how a lot of USA businesses stay up and running, not many people have caught on over here yet.

    So spot on can’t fault any comments that you have made in this video
    All adverts we run on Facebook all mention that we are enhanced DBS checked with the Logo.
    Customers are reassured from the outset, also we advertise that we carry all certificates of insurance in Van if customer wishes to view.
    Sets us apart from the opposition !!

    As a customer with no cleaning background, I look for value over cost. The value comes from believing in the person you’re getting to do the work, and that comes from transparency, communication and knowledge of their craft. I’d rather wait for someone I trust (and generally pay more!) than go for something cheaper who is available in 5 mins.

    • @PartridgeExteriorCleaning
      @PartridgeExteriorCleaning  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah definitely mate. And I never have, I just front the chemicals as if someone pulls out I’ll roll it to the next job, however if I get back into driveway sealing this year I’ll be taking deposits for the sealant as I got stuck with £400 worth of resiblock last year after someone cancelled!

    Hi mate looking at your videos I’m working full time but possibly looking into roof cleaning I’ve jet washed my own roof and made a good job and have had a few neighbours ask me to help do theirs they are roof that require using roof ladders with different hips and ridges so quite hard roofs just after some thoughts on jet washing as a posed to soft washing I’ve my jet washer so sort of already set up for doing the roofs just really after advise as to why you don’t jet wash roofs .. cheers Tony

    • @PartridgeExteriorCleaning
      @PartridgeExteriorCleaning  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi tony, id say just do your research as much as you can, never blast water up the roof only down, if theres anything loose or the tiles are really old just be extra careful, check for leaks before hand if you want to go the extra mile too. Good luck mate

    Good tips fella, re your point four about keeping in touch to ensure the job goes ahead etc, I’d highly recommend you consider taking a non refundable up front booking fee of between 30-50% on jobs over say £300. I sell this on the basis it’s to book in a firm date & shows trust and commitment from both parties and shares the responsibility of it rather than all risk being on you as a contractor. Works for me and customers readily accept it if explained with confidence that it is how you operate.

    • @PartridgeExteriorCleaning
      @PartridgeExteriorCleaning  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi mate I have thought about that a lot and may in future take deposits for scaffolding and chemicals which would come to near that price anyway. I havnt been stung yet but I did last year with £400 worth of resiblock sealer. Half of which is still sat in the garage!

    • @elfordsexteriorcleaningres5566
      @elfordsexteriorcleaningres5566 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PartridgeExteriorCleaning if you do don't call it a deposit tho as that's legally refundable, a booking fee isn't and does what it needs to do, gets their firm commitment, otherwise they lose it and you aren't out of pocket as much as you could have been. It also acts as a early warning filter of the potential messers right
