21 Bladeguard..... Plastic Crack Addiction in full effect.
*scratches neck and elbow* what? why? you sell'n?
I play as the Blood Angels in the Sons of Sanguinius detachment. I regularly use the Judiciar to give them fights first as a very difficult to deal with central objective holder. The ability to pay 1CP and fall back then recharge with +2 strength and +1 attacks is pretty great. The Judiciar also has a precision weapon so useful for cutting away the enemies important characters.
do you run the judiciar with the artisan of war for the 2+ save and extra ap on all the judiciars weapons?
Ahhhh Yeah this sounds savage. and great tactics too.
Snap. Works so well
Do you just try running them to the middle? Or put in an imoulsor ?
I do the same in a LRR with an additional 3 man of eradicators. Makes it a very handle anything type package
Judiciar, Blade Driven Deep....6xBladeguard in the enemy face.
Not many people doing unit by unit deep dives....this is GREAT information, and provides you with a ton of content options!
Congrats on your win Steve! And you did it with the best chapter in the Imperium of Man! Vulkan Lives and so do you Steve!!
And judiciary has an amaz8ng precision weapon.
I love them, sticking them in a land raider with Calgar and a lieutenant is so much fun
No mention of Sons or Righteous? Sonst gives them more strength, more attacks and a lance+lethal battle tactic strat.
Crusaders gives them also lethals and a 6+++
Calgar in a land raider is a massive waste. You won't get cp from him while he's embarked and advance and charge + assault ramp is a big nonbo.
The edits got me 😆 great job guys!
Yay! Thank you!
Yeah my 6man squad, Adrax, and the ancient with champion of humanity hoping out of a Repulsor have not failed me yet.
oooohhh yeah that's the good stuff. champion of humanity too!
I like the same setup. I will often go with the Lieutenant instead of the ancient. Lethals, ya know.
@JK-tv7gh Yeah I know the lieutenant is better but points wise the ancient felt right but I'm going to pick up a lieutenant so I can swap them when need be.
You guys are hilarious, I'm definitely rapid ingressing drop pods from now on!
Turn1!
Oh Steve what have you created... i just imagine space marines win percentage goes up like 30 points due to people just rapid ingressing pods...
NO NO NO!
hehehe
I shove a full squad plus a Bladeguard Captain and Lieutenant in a Land Raider Redeemer and full bore it to the mid board.
Inner circle companions lol
I'm starting a Salamanders army and going with Adrax Agatone to buff my bladeguard ×6 with captain. Thanks for the info Lads
I stick 6 of them in a Spartan with 6 aggressors, and rush them into whatever is trying to hold the middle. Works well for me.
A full unit of Bladeguard, a Lieutenant, Marneus Calgar and his two shield lads coincidentally fit perfectly into a Land Raider with its Assault Ramp...
Judiciar is my favorite in Blood Angels. He makes them so good at defending an objective.
Cpt + Lt + BGV (either 3 or 6). Captain is 6 attacks, hitting on 2+, can ping Finest hour for 3 more attacks with Devastating Wounds and gives Rites of Battle. Lt is 5 attacks hitting on 2+, gives Lethal Hits, and can shoot and charge when it falls back. If you run 3 BGV, that's 12 more attacks, 24 if you're running 6x. It's essentially a MSU character brick that you can pop upfield in a Repulsor or Landraider, and use to wipe something with all those Powersword attacks.
A unit that consistently performed well in my Firestorm list was Adrax, a Lt. w/Champion of Humanity and 3 BGV's in an impulsor(comms). Fall back and charge and Ignore modifiers were really clutch in alot of situations and the Lt. picks up nearly all the offensive slack of the 3 missing BGV's and would really compete for primary. Every once and a while it would get caught out being only OC 5 tho if you didn't fully eliminate a battle line brick or something.
Adrax is a crazy force multiplier. and the fall back and charge combo you've mentioned is a great way to own the table and also steal points from your opponent.
I've had a couple of funny moments where Ragnar + LT + 6 BGV managed to melt even Termies in close combat
I use mine with an LT and Adrax Agatone which is a great combo for letting the BGV punch up and ensuring the characters hit all their attacks, and they don’t need to go into the OoM target. Unfortunately the drop pod strat doesn’t work because units that disembark from a transport in the turn that it arrived from reserves cannot declare a charge that turn.
My next purchase will be bladeguard for sure, I´m new at the hobby and i love this minis, good job with your videos, a fan from Spain here
The minis are so cool looking, I love the knightly feel to them.
@@hyperspacehobbies Totally agree, I began collecting Dark angels so knightly is my shit, again good job to both
Bladeguard are not only my favourite space marine aesthetically but they are always in my lists. I've just taken them to a 272 player GT and they were so good. For this GT I ran a unit of 6 with Tigurius in a Land raider redeemer and they bossed.
TiGuRiUs! His buffs to the squad are actually pretty great -1 to be hit is already top tier for a unit like this but add in the fact that his psykic attack is so strong it turns any unit into a shooting unit and the free strats. The guy is a beast.
I use Blade Guard for Door Stoppers as a Black Templar Players I take my Sword Bretheren :D
they can be great at just gumming up an opponent.
I love the energy and that's why I subbed, just grab the rules when making statements.
And please read what the last word is for the inner circle dudes.
Thank you I just got some blade guard and this was a nice crash course! Also learned some more about the rules.
We saw your recent purchase and rushed the video out so you can study up haha!
I don’t think I have seen anyone utilize the lieutenant with combi weapon enough credit in how it boosts your army but most notably bladeguard. The bladeguard like to take objectives , so giving them refill wound rolls of 1 is a big buff.
As others have said, the Captain has to have Sword and Board if they join the BGV.
6x blade guard+chaplain+ragnar+ wolf howl noises ftw
Trolling DA Players! you dog. love you guys!
Hehe
*glares grimly at all of you*
My ideal for bladeguard is maybe a slight overinvestment, but its fun. Sons of Sanguinus, six bladeguard, a captain, in a landraider.
Good movement and defence, red rampage for free, and the SoS boosts. Thats my dream
I do the same plus the Ancient and without landraider. Just leg it up the board behind a ruin for a turn 2 charge into centre board. Triggering the ancient gives you 50ish attacks
Red Rampage is just insane on the bladeguard!
50! haha blood angels have it so good.!
@@hyperspacehobbies and Captain lets you do it for free
I recently played a 1k mirror match and ran a captain and lieutenant in an impulsor to great effect getting up the board and clearing out the enemy objective holders and leaving the Impulsor behind to hold the obj.
As a chaos player, thanks for the heads up :)
HEY! SHOO You nasty Chaos enjoyer! GEt oUt oF HeRe!
Their murder ball I've been running is bladeguard , lieutenant, adrax
ADRAX! he makes them such an threat you HAVE to deal with them.
Been running this as well.
man I love bladeguard so much, not only are they amazing models (though not as cool as the inner circle companions imo) they're just badass. I almost always run them with a lieutenant for the lethal hits, might try out a chaplain with them instead though, getting them to wound space marines on 2+ would actually be really handy
Love me some BGV! I run a squad of them in my 1K Flesh Tearers army w/ an accompanying Judiciar and boy do they do some WORK! Obviously watching out for what you are speaking of in terms of aiming them at the right target and reeealy paying attention to movement and positioning while getting them into combat is very important!
Edit: Jelly you have so many!!! Also, don't forget that using the Judiciar means you can heroic intervene on your opponents turn and get that sweet Fight First to proc and mess some of your opponents units up on their own turn!
OH DANG we totally didn't mention that part! Judiciar is even better than we thought! Great catch!
I take 6 with lieutenant and Ragnar. Lieutenant gives them lethals as well as fall back shoot and charge, Ragnar gives them advance and charge. If they are going into my Oath target I’ll re roll everything to try and fish for lethals (especially if fighting up), otherwise I’ll use honour the chapter (in gladius) for +1 to wound. So far in 10th I’ve been foot slogging them up the board but still trying to figure out best way to deliver them into combat though. Thinking perhaps about a land raider.
Land raiders are great this edition, though they take a few games to get into how to properly use them. Ragnar out of a land raider can be insane! 3" for disembark 6" for movement D6 for advance 2D6 for charge.
Vanguard spearhead, Judicar (blade driven deep) with six Bladeguard, Lt. With Combi weapon marking the objective the set up near. That will generally be my "fight" objective, support them with 6 man or two three man inceptors that can if needed drop and hurt a unit giving them particular trouble. I mostly use them as an avail the enemy can break themselves on
Sons of sang with capt and Lt for +1A and +2 strength with free red rampage is awesome 5atks each w re rolls and lethals str 7 and +1 to wound, your wounding something big like land Raider and tervigon on 4s and they save on 4s plus free fall back and charge from lt to keep buff going and then also include the capt and lt attacks
I appreciate the Bulbasaur on the tabletop lol. Best starter
The Black Templars have a crazy combo if you give them the bones thingy enhancement via captain for 5fnp
T-Bones on that Captain with Uphold Oath makes an absolute BRICK of a unit. Add that Ancient and you WILL hold an objective.
I have used them in a tournament with first company detachment. I played them with captain and ancient as I was lacking OC. There is a strat that give you +1 to hit and you take reroll 1 to hit and now you have yourself a second Oath and there is also -1 damage from incoming charging unit which is so good. There is also an enhancement that didn't make it to my final list but is basically the same ability as the bladeguard ancient. So as you talked of Petro, you could give them +3A the same turn with an ancient and this enhancement. In my tournament I basically charge a squad of termi with librarian with them and I used the ability of the captain to dev wound for himself and the bladeguard ancient and the termi went extinct hard.
+3 attacks!! HAHA! wow that is off the chain, a big investment though, but if it pays off...love it.
It is a bit much I agree with you but nothing cheap when you play first company. I had 10 man termi with the legend Darnath and ancient termi, 2 5squad sternguard and a brick of bladeguard with captain and bladeguard then all the good marine support I could get(2lancer,repulsor,infiltrator,inceptor). I had watch the game were Space marine Steve had tried the first company and I found your lack of bladeguard astouding. Kidding continue the good works to all of you 👌
Hyperspace videos makes me hyped for a game I’ve still never played 😂
HAHA! well get down to your local game store and check it out. its a great game and a perfect time to get into it.
@@hyperspacehobbies I’m trying! Finally got 1k of aeldari painted, it’s finding the time that’s my problem
I know they do better with HQ units, but I generally throw my 6 bladeguard in a repulsor executioner to run them up the field and drop them off at an obj.
Yeah that's a great use for them, they can roadblock anything trying to mess with your Repulsor E.
Blade guard are awesome, but I'm a blood angels player so I prefer jump packs. And all my melee punches up with a little red rampage.
Since shooting is relatively orkish for me, I run van vets with shields. I usually take Dante here, because the minus 1 to hit (and wound if warlord is attached) is only in melee. When there's nothing left to strike back, it's no worries.
And I drop a priest on them, which makes them more durable at range and in melee than sang guard.
In any case, bgv are super awesome, and when I run a detachment other than sons of sanguinius they go.
BA have such a natural buff to close combat its impressive. and Red Rampage is just so strong it can make a mediocre unit just slap so hard.
I normally stick Calgar with my Aggressors, but have found Uriel and a lieutenant and interesting combo to go with a 6 man unit of Bladeguard in Gladius. Uriel primary ability is adding the deepstrike but people seem to overlook his ability to target this unit with any stratagem that may have been used before this round, even while battle shocked. With Calgar pumping in 2 CP in your turn you should have plenty to play with for some double strats.
The one i've been playing with is double rapid ingress. I've been cagey in my first turn holding onto CP and then in my opponents second turn I've rapid ingressed my eradicators on one flank and then done the same with the Bladeguard on the other. Setting up melta range and easy charge in my turn.
Ooooh double ingress!?!?...that seems almost too strong!
@@hyperspacehobbiesI’m thinking it is too strong. I don’t think you can do it? From my understanding a unit’s ability is considered unavailable while it’s not on the tabletop, unless otherwise specified. I believe that means that you couldn’t rapid ingress his squad since he isn’t on the board either. That’s how I’m reading it anyways? 10th edition is confusing like that.
@ElGordoBandito Hmmm ya, now that you mention it, I think that's probably how it reads.
Check out reserves units in core rules on the app. Last sentence in the paragraph. "Units can still use rules and abilities while in reserves." It's perfectly fine.
Just to further qualify it with an example, people can and do use the Callidus assassin ability "Reign of confusion" while in reserves.
I wish an Ancient could join with a judiciar or chaplain.
Adrax Agatone with a lieutenant/ancient with champion of humanity in 6 bladeguard slaps
OH ya it does!
Bg are one of my favourite units, usually play a 6 man with a cap in gladius (because I haven't painted my lt yet!) And a 3 man with a judi.
In the repulsor they go and then drop out where they're needed
I love bladeguard! I have twelve kitbashed from intercessors and Stormcast Eternals. It also gives my space marines spears!
Are you Emperors Spears?
@@bigjoeflo no I play a homebrew chapter
oohh sounds cool! I like the idea of them with spears
As someone who's bought 30 bladeguard vets to turn into grey knight strike marines, I feel that intro. They are by far my favorite looking space marine models in a long time.
I personally run them in the Gladius detachment usually being driven round in a landraider with a Captain for the free lance strat but I have also be known to run them with Calgar, it just depends on the match up. Either way I love my unit of 6 and never leave home without them. Ps the bladeguard anicent is hugely under rated
Thanks to Steve and the new Pariah nexus mission. I decided to pick-up and build some Heavy Intercessors. I usually play Firestorm Assault, but I will find a use for them in casual or my Crusade campaign I'm in right now.
If you took first company task force, you could give the enhancement on the ancient for another once per battle +1 A, if you wanted to for the funs
I was doing Ancient with a Lt until recently switched to Lt and Azrael. Lt gives lethals, Azrael punches hard and gives sustained. And of course extra CP on your turn
As a grumpy DA player, inner circle task force with Asmodai leading bladeguard out of a repulsor executioner or impulsor. You can make them hit much harder
DA got hit pretty hard. And we dont know why. But that's a great combo,
Currently I have Adrax / Lieutenant (champion of humanity) and 6 man unit of bladeguard in a Redeemer. I also have either 3 aggressors or eradicators in redeemer with them. I also a 2nd redeemer and repulsor to keep them all some what close to be able to jump in and out of transports to keep them safe
You cant reroll 1s for 3+ saves only for 4+ invulnérable saves :(
Drop Pods in the new mission deck are eligible to perform actions. Deliver these guys via one and watch your opponents hate you as you score secondary and push out from there and spank them.
My personal favorite SM model apart from Sword Brethren
I think if they have a Iron halo at the model the shield must give him a +1 Wound
DANG! totally! of course it does! the sheild gives them the extra wound!
I wish Bladeguard Vets were T5, I love them, I run 9 in my list but they are too squishy to brawl it out in the center or against other melee focused units/Detachment.
I've been running them up the flanks and they do their job that way but definitely struggle against anything that is meant to be in combat.
True they are fairly mid tier in both durability and in combat. I 100% agree T5 would be the only change I would make. then just have them be 100 points or something.
I WILL PLAY THEM ON FRIDAY!!!! I ate a couple of Bladeguard with my Judiciar and my Deathwatch Veterans.... no wait... Proteus Killteam got them.
i pair a unit of BGVs with Cato Sicarius and a LT, scouting and auto moving melee mob is funny and scarry
I like them for my Anvil Siege Force Detachment, having the melee strike after 2 rounds of shooting, shows the enemy no quarter is safe. (9 in a drop-pod)
You can take em with one character in an Impulsor now!
Adrax and Judiciar are perfect for these guys. I play BT so my Sword Bros fill this roll for me but if I had to play any other faction I'd run them.
Blade guard are fun to tarpit with. I don't care if my 90 points never kill your dudes, your blightlords (or was it death shroud) are not leaving
I love to stick 6 bladeguard + LT + Captain in a droppod for some serious reinforcements fun (even rapid ingress if the enemy deployment allows it).
I play them in a custom Blood Angels successor chapter. I use Stormlance so they can advance and charge or fall back and charge. Between that and supporting them with guns nearby, you can usually control who they fight and when. I don't have any characters that can attach to them yet ( I just started Space Marines in 10th). They tend to either do pretty well for me or to soak up a ton of early shooting that might otherwise go into more important units.
Blood Angels hands down make them the best Detachment to use them. Atk 5, W3+, S7, AP-2, Damage 2, with Lethal and Lance from Black Rage (Battle-Tactic). Imo the best Character is the LT best of the fallback and shoot/charge ability. That way they can continue to get buffs even if they get charged.
I like to put my 6 blade guard and lieutenant in a storm raven gunship. Including 5 infurnace and a brutalis dreadnought with them.
Great video Gents! Been thinking about purchasing some Inner Circle Companions to proxy as Blade Guard. Inner Circle Companions look cooler, but Blade Guard have a better data sheet. Thanks for the tips!
If you run a librarian or Azreal with the inner circle guys you can get a +4. Just something I have been thinking about. My brother in law plays DA, and I want to beat him haha
@@nomassgoer8350 I considered Azreal, but he is the CP generator, I wouldn't want to send him up into combat to get killed. Librarians are expendable tho haha. Do the primaris librarians give sustained hits as well?
Inner Circle Boys do look sooooo good.
Unfortunately they don’t, but the INC can they’re s6 ap1 d1 sustained 2. With Azreal that would go up to sustained 3
@@nomassgoer8350 unfortunately sustained doesn't stack like that. There is an explanation in the rules commentary. You have to pick either sus2 or sus1
Love my Bladeguard. Squad of six with the Judiciar and the ancient. Come at me.
Illegal formation. Judiciar is not a captain chaptermaster or lt and cant have both in a unit
@@TheCoremeltdown I wish it was possible lol
@@TheCoremeltdown You’re right! Back to the drawing board! 😂
Bladeguard really fill that need for "knightly" Space Marine aesthetic.
And people say they don’t belong in the dark angels combat patrol.
@@Kingofdragons117 I've only played 2 games of 10th edition and you better believe I brought 6 Bladeguard Vets, with the Ancient and a Bladeguard Captain.
Steve stole my idea! I've been running 2x6 BGV with a Chaplin in one unit and a Captain and LT in the other since day 1 of this edition. Run them in Gladius for the Lance (free thanks to the captain) and maybe even +1 AP with Honour the Chapter and they can take anything short of a Baneblade down on the charge. Running them in a 6 men unit gives them even quite some sustainability as even just 3 plus a character is enough to still take those T12, Sv 2+, 12 wound models down in a single fight phase. So you can lose 50% of the unit and still have a perfectly servicable combat unit. For the extra spice you can give the captain the Honour Vehement to make him an absolute beat stick.
I run one unit of them in a Repulsor and the second one in a Landraider Redeemer. So they even have big fire support once they disembark. So far I have not met any army that could really stand against this combo. What they touch dies.
THE AUDACITY OF SOME PEOPLE!!! Lmao
12 is a lot to deal with thats for sure. and giving them the launching points of two T12 vehicles is awesome! Chaplain in one and Captain in the other is a Super strong combo! double down on the +1 wounds!
@@hyperspacehobbies and then you have a Repulsor executioner, 10 Heavy Intercessors and 6 Aggressors roll up from behind to secure the breach made by the BGV. It is so much fun to play.
My bladeguard are designed to die every match, due to how I use them. Put them in a land raider redeemer with a chaplain attached and 5 regular intercessors in the land raider. Land raider drops off everyone and then either charges forward to die in glorious combat as a distraction, or it starts moving to another part of the board. My 5 intercessors get on the objective and stay there. The bladeguard wait for an enemy unit to be in charge range and (when it works out) charge the enemies approaching my objective before they have a chance to put OC on it.
In practice, this means my intercessors have freedom to perform actions and hold down the objective. If the bladeguard win the fight and there are no more deepstrike threats, the intercessors sticky the objective and the whole hoard moves on to support the fight on another objective. I have only done this in 1000 pt games, so if this strategy sounds dumb, it might just not be a good option at the 2000 pt level.
I tried Firestorm with my black templars I used them with an ancient to block my opponent (sisters) from getting to my hellblasters and maintaining the mid board.
They do have grenade keyword. If you have pretty much guaranteed charge could help add a few bits of damage.
right on! toss them Grenades!
You can put cpt, Ltd, and bladeguard ancient.
I love them, but i do struggle to include them in my lists, because in my experience, they almost never live long enough to do anything.
They seem to have an outsized threat profile that makes them scary, and a magnet for firepower. And a 3-6 man squad, even with 3 wounds and an invuln, can be focused down without too much trouble. Maybe if the defensive half of their ability also applied to ranged attacks, idk.
I run assault terminators with a terminator captain in my land raider, but I don’t think there’s any way to justify not swapping them out for Calgar and three blade guard. Except the money and time, but those are problem’s for my credit card bill NEXT month
Terminators are terrible. Bgv way better
I've been playing them a bit but was never really succesfull with them. They were just too pricey, and not as Tanky as Terminators and not as öethal as Sword Bretheren. I need those Tips to make them viable since I love these models so much. Im so happy that the Impulsor now can take up to 7 models so that's a full squad of Bladeguards + a character Model.
Blade guard, Calgar, I’m hard….
gro......ss yep hard...
I like my blade guard. I usually run them as a full 6 man with a lieutenant. I play Firestorm assault force, which was great for leviathan, because I could advance and still use the unit for actions while closing the distance. That's going away in the pariah's Nexus mission deck, so we will see if they stick in the list. The +1S at close range making S5 AP-1 heavy bolt pistols are surprisingly effective too at some pre-charge chip damage. I would give the lieutenant "champion of humanity" giving the whole unit ignore modifiers, which really helps make it so the opponent can't mitigate their S5 AP-2 Dam2, and pumping it up with +1 to wound from "crucible of battle" is pretty nice.
Ya depending on what your meta is there can be a lot of Negatives to charge/movement. Crucibe of battle is insane.
I do think they got a spot in Gladius. I play 6 of them with Calgar and an ancient for the OC and the once a game boost. But looking at BGs alone does not work. The list need to be rounded as well to be scary and for the BGs to be free to do their shenanigans.
Since we talk, look at what 10 assault intercessors and a lieut with power fist in the right doctrine with the right strat :) it can be devastating... :D
Bladeguard are awesome, I play spacewolves so I like running them with a Bladeguard Lt. and Ragnar.
Ragnar is such a force multiplier for blade guard!
I love plastic also
Missed you Narrative event Steve!
There is a disconnect between this squad and heavy marines IMO. Should be same armor profile..
WAIT - attached leader gets the reroll abilities?!!?
Imagine if Mephiston could lead BGV in sons of sanguineous detachment
That’s my dream…
As a Dark Angels player, I am a little envious of the special characters from all the other chapters that really give these guys a boost. So instead I usually prefer a Captain in Gladius for the free Lance strat. Feel like both Lieutenant and Chaplin works quite well as a fenwric cheap character, but not really wnough to make them truly sing.
Also, I am not conplaining about DA characters (Azrael is awesome), they just don't really do anythi g amazing for BGV.
Pedro Kantor is basically a bladeguard ancient and a pair him with a luitenant. Pedro Kantor hits like a truck. and a drop pod
What are your thoughts on the primaries Champion that can lead them. he's Legends but his abilities pretty good I think
Heres a random idea: 3 impulsors for delivery, 3x3 bladeguard, no frills. 3x3 eliminators w laser fusils, to take advantage of firing deck 2 on the impulsors, instigator bolt carbines for move and shoot. 1 set of each in each impulsor, drive up the board with each impulsor, maybe with some tech marines for extra durability. Impulsors fire 2 bonus las fusil shots a turn, everyone dumps out, fires, eliminators move after shooting for better positioning, Bladeguard are a wall or charge where you need them. Thoughts? Literally just came to me, I havent thought this through any more than that.
you can't shoot the impulsor guns and then get eliminators out of the impulsor, that happens on the movement phase
Theres some sort of reembarkation shenanigans with the move shoot move that the carbines give the eliminators. That may be where I am trying to get the extra value out of the eliminators.
@@travismckee6352 There is, you can jump out, move, shoot, and then move back and embark, I believe. It does allow you to shoot the eliminators "Twice" if you get them out on the movement phase, and then shoot them in the shooting phase, then move and embark them back in the impulsor, then shoot the impulsor. The question more or less comes in if this is really worth bringing them with an impulsor - its probably more something you'd see in casual games I believe. I say this without having tried it. If I am taking impulsors, I kind of prefer hellblasters.
That is probably an accurate assumption. The only reason it popped into my head is that BGV are a good option to take the remaining 3 seats in the transport without fighting over the firing deck 2 slots. So you get a little synergy with delivering your relatively durable shield infantry mid board, coupled with a relatively efficient use of firing deck. But as is often the case with marines, there is probably a more effective combo of units somewhere else out there. Im gonna try this in my next casual game and see if its super dumb or not, either way.
Agreed

Hey, looking for a rules clarification.
Can a unit actually charge after disembarking a deep striking drop pod? A bit confused on if this is a legal move or not.
Steve mentions it around 6:36.
Thanks in advance.
No, they cannot.
You cannot run the captain with power fist with blade guards
I love BLadeguard, auto include for me
I play dark angels and i use asmodai with my blade guard
Sorry I'm new and kind of confused on something. If I heard correctly, the blade guard's ability will also bleed onto whatever character is attached to the unit? So if I pick sword chapter and I get a one on adrax's role I can re-roll it off the blade guards ability?
100% my good friend. In fact any unit that has an ability that says "this unit gets XYZ" always applies to the characters, the only time it get weird is when a characters rules say " when this character is leading a unit..." that means that as long as he is in the unit they all get the buff, but if the unit dies and he is alone he doesn't have a unit to buff and therefore doesn't buff that unit and subsequently himself (as he is in that unit)
@@hyperspacehobbies thank you!! I'll have to keep that in mind next time I play.
Yes you can rapid ingress drop pod turn 1
