I had a hip rod put in 4 months ago and now have alot of sciatica. Most of your exercises have been very helpful. But are there in specific ones for one who has had hip surgery?
I can't believe these worked. My sciatica has made it so that I can't walk at all. Ive been bed bound so I decided to try these from bed. I can now stand and put weight on my leg! I can't walk yet but standing after 5 minutes of these exercises is such an improvement!
I have been there. One moment fine the next I am paralysed with crippling leg pain in a shopping mall etc. so I cannot even stand. Since having 3 operations; disectomy and laminectomies, I can say I am very much improved. I am not expecting to be wheelchair bound now. These days I only take 3 nerve pain medications a day (Gabapentin) before I feel the niggly pains start again. I am supposed to take more medication, but I find I can manage with just 3 most days. Would rather risk another operation but neurosurgeons are not keen for me to. Hope you see improvement for your situation; I know it can be very overwhelming! I found it helped just leaning my back straight upright on a wall while standing. I would do that before trying the last exercise he suggested with the wall. Posture is so very important too. This is what happened after doing the 1st and 2nd exercises. I felt relief for 4 hours then did it again and felt relief for another 4 hours. Next day I did both exercises every few hours. Now it has been two weeks and no more pain even though I stopped doing the exercises. This is really effective. Thanks Dr. Rowe! ❤️
@@alesiasilva1090 yeah me too I am not doing well I wake up screaming, cursing and crying I'm not able to stand up for more than 2minutes without having to crouch down in a squat position and this has been very embarrassing as I am out shopping with my wife waiting on line people are all looking at me in extreme pain as I'm in a squatting position well my wife is taking the stuff out of the shopping cart I'm sure people are thinking I must have to pop a Squat and have massive diarrhea..😅😅🤣💩💩😖😫😟😖 I can laugh at myself about it right now as I am sitting comfortable in a chair not in pain but at the time it was not funny at all to me
I've had 10 days of pain that has now travelled down my right leg and I found a lot of relief from these exercises along with my prescriptions I picked up today. Back pain/sciatica pain is no joke 😭
@@jeffbutler7837 I took cyclobenzaprine which is a muscle relaxer when the pain was really severe, along with a higher dose of naproxen. It really helped along side resting, heat, ice, exercising. Highly recommend HASFIT on YT they have amazing exercises that target the sciatic nerve. I still do them at least 4-5x a week and feel instant relief.
I've travelled as far as Georgia all the way from New York to see a Chiropractor. His bills were not too high compared to NY. My treatments lasts about 30-45 minutes each time. But now I am back in NY, I reinjured my back and the pain was quite painful. After being down for about four days, I decided to go to the ultimate education center, TH-cam. I tried your exercises and I do feel so much better now. Thank you for the simplicity of your directions, I am feeling much better now, compared to a few hours ago.

Your not alone. Sitting in my kitchen at 6am here, after not sleeping one minute all night. It’s impossible to find a position that doesn’t include the shooting pain. Sciatica really sucks. I’m glad to have found this video.

Ok when I'm walking around all day I feel fine sometimes I feel a tiny bit of pain but only minor pain and nothing really to worry about, but when I lie down everything changes if I stay still nothing hurts but right when I start moving around in bed trying to change positions bammmmmmm those sharp pains are excruciating and hurt so bad but right when I get up and start walking around for about 15 mins the pain starts going away and I'm fine the rest of the day. Even when I'm sitting it doesn't bother me it's when I'm laying down. Also another question why is the pain in my left butt cheek?

Thank you so much! There’s been times I can’t sleep due to pain and it’s really hard for me to find a pose that gives me a good stretch. The 4 pose twist has been my saving grace. It instantly feels better after one time and keeping it up and doing it every day makes the general pain less. I can tell when I forget to do my stretches because my back will start throbbing. I happened to stumble upon this channel and I cannot be happier I did. I've been suffering with Sciatic pain in my lower back and left leg for the last year or so. Due to Covid-19, I was unable to go to see a doctor or chiropractor in person and had been struggling with the excruciating pain. I can't even count how many sleepless nights I've had over this pain. Dr. Rowe, I wanted to write and express my heartfelt thanks to you. Having been born with nerve damage, my left leg is 3/4 of an inch shorter than the right. There is also some scoliosis and, " drop foot," on the left side. In the past 10 years, the pain has been everyday and excruciating. I cannot thank you enough for sharing this information. I have been suffering with this pain for over a year and a half after a diving incident. After a few sets of this I can already feel relief. Had sciatica on and off 35 years, since 15 years old. Never had it once whilst I did karate nor for the following few years after, tells me stretching excersises are the key. Currently been bad with it for the last month, however now I have just managed to start walking again it's improving. Large steps when walking by stretching the front and trailing legs are brilliant for reducing pain. Build up the distance slowly and rest after for half an hour. Love the video, works well. Also try to refrain from pain killers and anti-inflammatories they will only cause massive damage long term.

I just started getting sciatica a few months ago and its hard to get out of bed. I have dull to sharp pain all day since it started. I tried a few exercises for just a few min and the pain went from a 5 to a 1 in only a few reps. I will begin doing this regimen as prescribed and am so relieved its that easy to fix the problem. I tried other stretches from other youtubers and it only help minimally. I think this video may cure me!! Thank you!

This also works as a preventive measure. I've been doing some of these stretches for years before getting out of bed and has helped so much. I highly recommend stretching before hitting the floor.

Most of my pain starts in my left side buttocks. This pain keeps me from sitting and even many sleepless nights. I’m going to start with your upright positions you shared and hope for the best.

Wow. This really did work and almost immediately. I’m sick of taking pills so decided to try this. I didn’t feel immediate relief while doing the exercises but, minutes after finishing them, I noticed the pain had gone away. Truly amazing. Oh my god, I am since 2015 onwards suffering this pain. It was terrible in 2019. I went physio treatment for three days. But pain was in left hip. After that my everyday life is screwed. When I came to sit in the chair or lying on the bed, it's is the serious issues. Not allowed to do this two things. If i stand better feeling. sleep is very disturbing. Sometimes crying like a anything. Diabetic too. Exercise is the best thing, I will follow.
These stretches helped so much the first 2! My left leg was semi numb hurting pain can’t describe it really but it helped relive the pain momentarily. I’ll continue to do these stretches. Thank you again

@@DrRowe You said that leg with pain must be further to the wall. Are you sure? Flexing this way, you put more pressure to the side which affects sciatic nerve. Am I right?
Thanks! I learned some new tricks to help sciatica. The stand up door exercises look easy for this senior. Much appreciated. In past my most immediate and lasting relief was always the cobra pose, if done a few times a day for just a few days got complete long lasting 'cure' and each time done gave immediate hours long relief. My favorite.

This video helped me the most to relieve my pain. The leaning up against the wall then pulling your hip towards the wall relieved so much pressure and pain for me as well as all other exercises in this video. Best video I’ve found online to help with sciatica pain. Thank you 🙏🏻
Couldn't believe all comments being so positive until i tried myself. After doing these exercises just now, my legs' pain is gone, my one side buttock pain has come down by 80% almost and weakness of legs also feels much reduced. 10 minutes back my thighs were paining and now thighs are fine! I practice martial arts and got back pain about a month ago. I tried various stretches on your channel to figure out if it may be sciatica. I tried this video and immediately get the pain receding. I felt more mobility and I was glad to find out it wasn’t a flexibility issue. I still had all my mobility after releasing the pressure.

You are very good at what you do; I have a SUGGESTION. Perhaps you can focus on people with back/leg problems who routinely do household chores like: making the bed, reaching for something in the top cabinet, scooping the litter box, folding clothes, carrying laundry downstairs, mopping/sweeeping the floor, etc. THIS WILL BE VERY POPULAR AND VERY USEFUL. @@jeffbutler7837 I took cyclobenzaprine which is a muscle relaxer when the pain was really severe, along with a higher dose of naproxen. It really helped along side resting, heat, ice, exercising. Highly recommend HASFIT on YT they have amazing exercises that target the sciatic nerve. I still do them at least 4-5x a week and feel instant relief.

I've travelled as far as Georgia all the way from New York to see a Chiropractor. His bills were not too high compared to NY. My treatments lasts about 30-45 minutes each time. But now I am back in NY, I reinjured my back and the pain was quite painful. After being down for about four days, I decided to go to the ultimate education center, TH-cam. I tried your exercises and I do feel so much better now. Thank you for the simplicity of your directions, I am feeling much better now, compared to a few hours ago.

Your not alone. Sitting in my kitchen at 6am here, after not sleeping one minute all night. It’s impossible to find a position that doesn’t include the shooting pain. Sciatica really sucks. I’m glad to have found this video.

Ok when I'm walking around all day I feel fine sometimes I feel a tiny bit of pain but only minor pain and nothing really to worry about, but when I lie down everything changes if I stay still nothing hurts but right when I start moving around in bed trying to change positions bammmmmmm those sharp pains are excruciating and hurt so bad but right when I get up and start walking around for about 15 mins the pain starts going away and I'm fine the rest of the day. Even when I'm sitting it doesn't bother me it's when I'm laying down. Also another question why is the pain in my left butt cheek?

I have just done exercises one and 2. After the second i felt the feeling of pins and needles disappearing in my foot (that cold feeling) and the pain in my butt practically disappeared. This is the best i have felt in weeks and finally have some hope. Thank you Dr Rowe.

Thank you so much! There’s been times I can’t sleep due to pain and it’s really hard for me to find a pose that gives me a good stretch. The 4 pose twist has been my saving grace. I happened to stumble upon this channel and I cannot be happier I did. I've been suffering with Sciatic pain in my lower back and left leg for the last year or so. Due to Covid-19, I was unable to go to see a doctor or chiropractor in person and had been struggling with the excruciating pain. I can't even count how many sleepless nights I've had over this pain. But doing these exercises has given me so much relief, I feel like a weight is off my shoulders (or back I should say). There is also some scoliosis and, " drop foot," on the left side. In the past 10 years, the pain has been everyday and excruciating. I'm 61 next month, I've been a building contractor since the 80's, But I only had a sciatica nerve pain once or twice in my life...Woke up with one today...The stand up exercise, and how easy it was and the near instant relief almost bought tears of joy to my eyes. I cannot thank you enough for sharing this information. I have been suffering with this pain for over a year and a half after a diving incident. After a few sets of this I can already feel relief. Finally I'm back on my feet after been bed ridden for 3 weeks.. Pulled my back muscle so badly at work.. Back is alot better but this sciatica pain is driving me insane. Had sciatica on and off 35 years, since 15 years old. Never had it once whilst I did karate nor for the following few years after, tells me stretching excersises are the key.
Currently been bad with it for the last month, however now I have just managed to start walking again it's improving. Large steps when walking by stretching the front and trailing legs are brilliant for reducing pain. Build up the distance slowly and rest after for half an hour.
Love the video, works well.
Also try to refrain from pain killers and anti-inflammatories they will only cause massive damage long term.

I just started getting sciatica a few months ago and its hard to get out of bed. I have dull to sharp pain all day since it started. I tried a few exercises for just a few min and the pain went from a 5 to a 1 in only a few reps. I will begin doing this regimen as prescribed and am so relieved its that easy to fix the problem. I tried other stretches from other youtubers and it only help minimally. I think this video may cure me!! Thank you!

This also works as a preventive measure. I've been doing some of these stretches for years before getting out of bed and has helped so much. I highly recommend stretching before hitting the floor.

I've had sciatica on and off for many years. The last time I went to a chiropractor and paid THOUSANDS . This time has been the worse. I couldn't stand, let alone walk. Wow. This really did work and almost immediately. I’m sick of taking pills so decided to try this. Oh my god, I am since 2015 onwards suffering this pain. It was terrible in 2019. I went physio treatment for three days. But pain was in left hip. After that my everyday life is screwed. When I came to sit in the chair or lying on the bed, it's is the serious issues. Not allowed to do this two things. If i stand better feeling. sleep is very disturbing. Sometimes crying like a anything. Diabetic too. Exercise is the best thing, I will follow.

Thanks! I learned some new tricks to help sciatica. The stand up door exercises look easy for this senior. Much appreciated. In past my most immediate and lasting relief was always the cobra pose, if done a few times a day for just a few days got complete long lasting 'cure' and each time done gave immediate hours long relief. My favorite.

This video helped me the most to relieve my pain. The leaning up against the wall then pulling your hip towards the wall relieved so much pressure and pain for me as well as all other exercises in this video. Best video I’ve found online to help with sciatica pain.

Couldn't believe all comments being so positive until i tried myself. After doing these exercises just now, my legs' pain is gone, my one side buttock pain has come down by 80% almost and weakness of legs also feels much reduced. 10 minutes back my thighs were paining and now thighs are fine! I practice martial arts and got back pain about a month ago. I tried various stretches on your channel to figure out if it may be sciatica. I tried this video and immediately get the pain receding. I felt more mobility and I was glad to find out it wasn’t a flexibility issue. I still had all my mobility after releasing the pressure.

Hello Doc. I started doing the 1st tip. The ache from my leg went up to my back. I almost cried. It was hurt and difficult but when I relaxed a little my leg feels relief. Thank you!

Dr. Rowe thank you so much for this video, I got relief the very first time I did the exercises, i was suffering for nearly 20 days, my right toe had become numb, i got an MRI done and the doctor suggested long term medication or surgery, i felt hopeless, my Church was praying for me and I found your video. This is unbelievable!!! Within 4 days I am sending release and the numbness has reduced. Your communication skill is excellent. God bless you abundantly Doctor!!!

You are very good at what you do; I have a SUGGESTION. Perhaps you can focus on people with back/leg problems who routinely do household chores like: making the bed, reaching for something in the top cabinet, scooping the litter box, folding clothes, carrying laundry downstairs, mopping/sweeeping the floor, etc. THIS WILL BE VERY POPULAR AND VERY USEFUL.
