There is no idler pulley on the 2009 Corolla with the 1.8l engine. There is a water pump. So you have the crank pulley, water pump pulley, AC and alternator pulley.

The thing you're calling an idler is, I believe, the water pump.

THANK YOU!!!
Big thanks
Would you say this engine is pretty well designed?
I wish the camera could have been positioned to show the belt in the car.
Me too
Thanks ..this helped alot!
Thank you so much!
these tensioners are so stupid you can easily over tension and kill bearings. Why isn't there a torque to set the bolt to instead.
God Bless everyone!!!! Jesus Loves you all very much!!!!

What does it mean if it’s squeaking after I put it
Likely tighten your belt a little more. 1/2" of deflection when you press on the longest belt run.
@@BlakesGarage1 I realized my water pump was old so I had to get a new one cause it broke my new belt cause it was shaking
@@SuperXinsaneX good find!
Is it necessary to disconnect the negative cable before changing belt? Thanks
Not necessary but always recommended
Plss I want de belt number or size
Look up serpentine belt for the make and model of your car. The internet will help you find a auto shop that has it.
