As someone who has tried almost every screwdriver, the insulated Wera is my go to. Screws stick to the tips like nothing else. They can grip stripped out heads. And I like the fact that the insulated drivers keep you from scratching things in tight places. I have virtually every Wera driver but I carry a toolcheck plus and insulated drivers in my kit every day. The battery powered vessel driver and their bit set are a must have as well, but Wera drivers and hex plus are second to none.
Wera is typically my go-to, but for a driver handle that can interchange with different blades/bits, the Wiha has insane bit fitment and no wobble and the grip feels better in my palm than Wera. Then for ratcheting, I love vessel, especially how you can take off the top, and have a built in shorty. Speaking of ratcheting, the smoothness and backdrag I feel like the Apex is even better than Vessel

Yeah I’ve been upgrading all my sockets/ratchets to Ko-Ken, but I did get a couple Nepros ratchets also just because they’re so pretty haha, I couldn’t give it up. My least favorite thing about Ko-Ken sockets, specifically the z-series, is they don’t have 9mm sockets. Not that I actually need a 9mm, but now I don’t have a complete set. Had to order the non-z-series 9mm
If I need a tool I either borrow or buy it. If I need to borrow a second time I buy one. I've bought a few here and there that look useful without a specific current need that usually see action within a few months. And that's about it. This is crazy! The organization is pretty sweet though. At least you can find everything you own in there!
I think the way you've done is smart. That's how I would have done it earlier in life. I'm at the point now where I just want the whole package just in case. It's really nice to have the right tool when you do need it.
Wow I guess I’m the opposite I Bought wera First but my hand kept slipping with them so I bought the PB Swiss “Swiss Grip”. Screwdrivers specifically and I like them more. Now that’s 90% of My Screwdrivers

Wera screwdrivers are interesting in that you either love them or not. I have one Wera racheting screwdriver and I dislike the handle, it never feels right to me. One thing I would recommend here Matt don’t know if you ever wanted or thought about this? Is to visit a shop maybe like a Porsche shop? Talk to the mechanics on what their favorite tools are. I only watch other toolbox tour channels to scour and find new tools brands or tool numbers in pursuit of the very best of that tool type. Sometimes, I have found the best tool that functions everyday for me (mechanic myself) is not the best looking I think Koken Z series nails both but that is not easy. I have some snap-on tools but that is because they take abuse like no other tool in that category. Sure it doesn’t look great but I need it to hold up. I also think that organization of tools makes that tool look much better in the box. My toolbox looks like yours various tool brands but all just are functional excellence and any that don’t get used or I don’t enjoy using simply get given away. One thing I am not seeing is a multimeter. I would say if you can afford it Fluke. There is a reason for it’s price and that is my most used tool.(Besides my computer) this is a sweet project and I’m sure there are a ton of people that want this just picked out for them. Tools I would say are purchased much more in a collection with financing as well. So I think that is important to look into as well since these collections will be hard for some people to buy in full.

Hi!
What kind of screwdriver storage system is this?

Thank you!
Vessel is my fav screwdriver brand. Wiha bendy nut drivers are an absolute must have in your set
I just don't see it. Maybe I'm missing something.
@@ObsessedGarage I have the full set from 5.5 up to 13mm Wiha bendy nut driver. Had them for years and have saved my bacon many a time. Like cobra knipex pliars. Absolute haves. Vessel has different levels of bit driver ratchet. Low profile to get a screw between your dash and windshield. They work for me. Gearwrench 120x ratchets are the Rolex of ratchets imho
They are all good but as the best screwdrivers ever PB SWISS tools made in Switzerland.Superb quality like Knipex in pliers world!
Witte makes the best screw driver the handles are super comfy wera
hand isn't
Oh man I’m several tax brackets below being able to afford this
Thanks
I can't wait for Matty to get to heaven and God tells him "By obsessing you saved your self from x amount of panic attacks and you saved x amount of time. Get in here and I will show you all the things you missed."
I have a couple screwdrivers myself
Would like your opinion on Icon tools.
Tudor pelagos fdx? I wondered when matt would start getting into watches if he wasn’t already 😂
Where’s the deleted leather restoration e30 video? Had it opened in a new tab yesterday, went to watch it and deleted. :(
We will re-upload it tomorrow due to an audio issue.
Thank you guys! :)
Is that an OG branded tool chest mat?
I just wish you could be a little more particular! Kudos dude!
All this tool talk is making me want to upgrade to a new tool cabinet and order an essentials kit of Koken tools but I'll wait until it's all dialed in. Hopefully the new cabinets hit the store in the near future!
Nice setup. How do you keep them so clean? Mine are greasy and busted.
These are new. I have my normal set-up in my cabinet array.
Ozempic going crazy
No
Awesome . T O G
KoKen above Snap on, I can hear your margin talking.
No sonic? Why?
unreal amount of money in tools and sockets that look like they will never be used, wera is definitely the brand to get though if youre going to spend 20k on products!
Where do you people get this stuff? I use my tools literally every single day.
Its crazy, its almost like its his job or something to research the best tools and then sell the tools and his expertise to people who don't have the same skill as him....oh wait
@@ObsessedGarageI can’t believe your brand new tools are not worn out yet…
@@tracymosley5991I use tools to make money for a living, and I know plenty of other people that do the same. This amount of the same tool, is not normal. He even said it himself his own line up of screwdrivers was confusing. Fuck, just grab a flat head and get on with the job. And by the time you fucking figure out which type of socket you want, 20 minutes will have passed. This is not a working man’s tool kit right here, this is pure obsession...
@@twentyonehertzgood point about obsession, but who’s denying it? The name of the channel is OBSESSESED Garage and Matt has extensively talked about his diagnosed OCD. None of that is a secret. Many retailers have products on display. This is OG’s and it’s for the camera where his buyers are. You’re looking at it all wrong. This tool box is literally a marketing tool and expense for a multi million dollar company. This isn’t a single mechanics bay doing car repair all day long.
Harbor Freight collection next
Thoughts on the grip edge stuff?
Those and the rbrt sets are legit the best version of the hex, torx, trppl square, etc… Mac RBRT seems to have way more products available then gripedge even tho it’s their tech probably have to wait till a contract ends to produce the other stuff under the grip edge company. I have been buying everything second hand for like 2/3rd the price from the tool truck/ Mac site. Definitely worth having over the regular stuff.
Just Googling their site, it looks like typical Chinese Amazon stuff to me, but I've never seen them before.
@@ObsessedGarage Sadly it is made in china by Proto, available by Mac Proto, Facom, and USAG last I looked. Mac R.B.R.T. versions have more options a bit better to me quality wise.
Let me know if anyone wants the Proto link it’s priced the same as gripedege
That’s my dream car bmw e30 m3 biutifull
Bet you still can not find a 10 mm
why did those koken tools not make the cut
Most were redundant. For example I like the push-button style ratchets that made the normal version not necessary.
@@ObsessedGarage I perfer push release myself.
As much as I like your channel and videos, 1% of those tools will ever be used lol
Nope, just used about 5% of them yesterday.
Why?
Nevermind
Are you ever going to quit winning about whipping tools off 🤔
Geek-gasim in full effect 🤩🤤
👍
Seems a bit out of touch with what someone who uses tools as a job would purchase. Says he bought snap on and doesn't like it but prefers to use Chineseium
I spent $50K on Snap-on. I generally don't sell to people that need to use tools. Its mainly enthusiasts.
