What Matt is saying about the hexagon light it’s true. There are other cheaper and 100% better options. When you are polishing I find stressful to see the hexagon lights. Now I disagree with the Rinseless wash, I have friends who live in apartment complex and this is just life saver. Also, they work as water softener and quick detailer. I still think a pressure washer and soap is better, but rinseless is just game changer.

I've been hammering Matt in the comments for years on rinseless washing. I do 99% of my washes with rinseless and I use the same process he does for the wheels. I may use an IK foamer instead of a foam cannon, but I could do a foam cannon if I wanted to. I'm using the pressure washer almost every time I wash. If he was at my house in either the dead of winter, or the dog days of summer...he would absolutely understand why rinseless is S-Tier for life. Matt is 100% correct about Hex Lights though. I went with Barrinas for a temporary solution until I can afford the CREE lights he sells, but I do not like the Barrinas at all. Their only benefit is a lot of light for very little money/effort. They may give me a headache and eye strain, but at least I can see what I'm doing in the garage now.
Not to mention the absolute diversity of products Rinseless can replace. Clay Lubricant, QD, Waterless Wash, Glass Cleaner, Interior Cleaner, household cleaner. It is absolutely S-Tier as a product type.
@@traubgator I like diy detail rinseless and p&s absolute. I usually use a drying aid, not out of necessity as the rinseless provides its own lubrication for drying, but I like the added protection of something like diy detail ceramic gloss or armour detail supply amplify

Rinseless is good for the body of the car. For the wheels, you have to pull out the bucket and hose/pressure washer. My M2 produces a lot of brake dust.

Sure you live at an apartment complex, maybe before a car show, or somewhere with very mild weather. Rinseless has its limits, it’s a C for me. It’s a buffed up quick detailer.
I was an F-16 crew chief in the air force and we had Snap-On laser cut foam, just like sonic, but Sonic got it from Snap-On because we were using it 15 years ago.

PPF is a must at bare minimum on the front. I would tier ceramic coatings under PPF. There are so many good spray sealants you can apply every few washes that can fill the void of a ceramic coating. PPF can be a huge help in preserving the look of your vehicle

Please keep shopping at Costco as I bought stock a few years ago at 375 a share and now the stock is over 740 a share. I am the oddball who first bought stock at the age of 14. The hexagon lights are terrible in my opinion too as the moldings crack and the lights run radio interference. I do not like those floors either as they trap contamination and harbor it. I worked for Publix for 12 years and clean floors is really important to me after working in a food prep area. I will argue rinseless wash is more efficient and economical than soap. Just because it is rinseless does not mean you cannot use a pressure washer for removing the presoak and cleaning wheels. Thank you for a fun video and hopefully this happens at least once a year!

Matt is totally wrong on Costco, they are one of the most impressive companies I have ever seen. They also push their suppliers to provide high quality as well as low cost. And most importantly you can buy gold bars there which you can then hide in your walls.

I personally find that when you pay 3x the lowest possible price for something you actually get 10x the quality and convenience. No lie I pre-soaked my wheels with ONR before washing them and now my brakes do not squeal. They’re carbon so I can’t use harsh stuff. Dunno if that’s just a wild coincidence but it’s the only thing I tried that was different from my normal routine.

Swarms of people your bumping in to, cant look at something for 2 seconds before someone behind wants you to move out the way, waiting in line on a fckn monday at 2pm for half an hour, parking lot is contantly filled, zero need for having a 5lb container of peanut butter or ketchup unless you have a giant family..tons of overpriced food in bulk that goes bad and/or gets freezer burn sitting in the freezer..i can go on and on. Costco is for bottom feeders. You'll spend less getting what you need for a week or two at a regular grocery store.

Any food that is 'soft' in your mouth and has a smooth texture like bread, Pringle snacks and anything that turns into a smooth paste once chewed only a few times is generally bad for you as rule of thumb. Pretty much all natural food like an apple, takes more often then not takes more chewing and its tough to begin with as its natural. I totally agree with Matts food OCD. Hex lights- hahaha...... I think a strong amount of diffused lighting from lots of square ceiling light boxes, that mimics natural light that has plenty of light to completely fill your working area is the best. PPF definitely satisfies my OCD. It's an S for me it could cost 10k I'd still pay it, I can't have stone chips. I would sell a car if it was crashed and repaired but the repaired paintwork wasn't pristine.
Hex lights and similar have a purpose but it's a very specific purpose. As general lighting they are superfluous. The hex lights are great for bodywork and doing clear sanding and polishing.

@timkinley1779 PPF from 25+ years ago was definitely rough, to the point where it was still sort of competing with car bras. Modern PPF is really solid. Quality films are typically warrantied for 10 years now
@timkinley1779 so good question - I can only speak for the Northeast, but our most common customers are actually folks who keep their vehicles for 10+ years. Our customers drive Subaru's, Lexus's, Honda's, and Toyota's...vehicles they plan on keeping long-term that they want to protect. Matt mentioned "there's no point in getting PPF if your vehicle isn't at least $80k". Oddly enough, that's probably our smallest customer base. 35-70k are our core clients, and then we have folks with $150k+ vehicles and huge disposable incomes. $70k-$150k tends to be lease territory

Hex lights- hahaha...... I think a strong amount of diffused lighting from lots of square ceiling light boxes, that mimics natural light that has plenty of light to completely fill your working area is the best.
PPF definitely satisfies my OCD. It's an S for me it could cost 10k I'd still pay it, I can't have stone chips. I would sell a car if it was crashed and repaired but the repaired paintwork wasn't pristine.
Hex lights and similar have a purpose but it's a very specific purpose. As general lighting they are superfluous.
The hex lights are great for bodywork and doing clear sanding and polishing.

PPF - kind of hard to tier this. I feel like there are generally two types of people...those who care about rock chips, and those who don't. If you care, then it's an S-tier because what other options do you have? I also heard $3,000 price points mentioned...I didn't hear what type of coverage that was for, but in the northeast, you can get "essential" coverage (full front bumper, mirrors, 1/2 quarters, 1/2 hood) for
@timkinley1779 PPF from 25+ years ago was definitely rough, to the point where it was still sort of competing with car bras.
Modern PPF is really solid. Quality films are typically warrantied for 10 years now
@timkinley1779 so good question - I can only speak for the Northeast, but our most common customers are actually folks who keep their vehicles for 10+ years. Our customers drive Subaru's, Lexus's, Honda's, and Toyota's...vehicles they plan on keeping long-term that they want to protect.
Matt mentioned "there's no point in getting PPF if your vehicle isn't at least $80k". Oddly enough, that's probably our smallest customer base. 35-70k are our core clients, and then we have folks with $150k+ vehicles and huge disposable incomes. $70k-$150k tends to be lease territory
