I don't know how many times I've said that and I'm less than half his age. It resonated with me that people regardless of generation can have very similar outlooks on things if they do the same stuff.
After 38 years as a motorcycle mechanic, you've definitely got me beat in the chisel, punch, and "beat the hell out of something" bar department, but I have probably twice as many pliers. Some are tiny - but all are needed!😊
whoa what an incredible collection of tools and such beautiful toolboxes. I'd never guess that toolbox is that old, it looks brand new. That says a lot about a person. He takes pride in his hard work and tools. And what an amazing wealth of knowledge he must have, yet very humble and down to earth. The company and especially its younger employees are very fortunate he's still there. Thanks for sharing.
How well used all his tools are and how clean the exterior of those boxes are say everything. When you were rubbing your hand on that burgundy paint I gaurantee his blood pressure was rising but he kept it cool. Especially after he said he just waxed it.
I spent 30 years in the same industry with a school district, We were lucky that the school board supplied all tools. The powers to be were always in question why we spent so much on tools and equipment. I surly hope the dealer that this gentleman works for compensates him well. School buses are a highly technical field today as compared to when I started with gas engines and no power steering and stick shifts.
I really enjoyed seeing Mark's setup. I also agree with him on the superiority of the Snap-On Comfort grip screwdrivers versus the Instinct Handles stuff.I have both and nearly always grab the comfort grip every time. I had a 12 piece black handled comfort grip set that I absolutely loved. I bought them when I was a starving college student in 1979 but the handles started to chemically decompose and disintegrate just lying unmolested in the tool box drawer and man did they ever smell bad ! Snappy warrantied them out but sent the Instinct handles as replacements. It was better than a poke in the eye with a stick I suppose.
I had several do that ooze thing. Dealer said snap-on had Kodak involved in the handle manufacturing. You’d open a drawer and smell it and the handle would look like it was sweating. Really weird!
Great channel watch every Saturday morning with a coffee in my truck. You should come up to Canada I’m running 2 mac boxes a snap on and a macsimizer cart. Working for a construction company you need everything from small engine tools to Stuff for a dozer.
@@outdoorswithdooley1169 I’ll try and done over the holiday break. I definitely don’t have pretty polished boxes though. Doesn’t work to well in a dirty construction shop working 12 to 14 a day. Function more important than looks.
Cool tip with the thermal imager you can use it when trucks/busses come in to see if a wheel, shock, or brakes are hotter than the others, and you know there's an issue
Hi Mark nice seeing someone from another state and county that did the same thing I did for 30 years. I also worked on Thomas and Blue Bird buses my hole career . People see my shop at home and can't believe how many tools I have. But when I retired and brought my boxes home from the bus garage and added them to my shop at home now I have triplets of everything . I did here you say you had 33 years in. But take it from me retirement is WONDERFUL I love working now from my shop at home. When I started back in 1980 we were running the old butterfly hood international's wow how the buses have changed over the years. I know you've seen it also. Nice tour and nice stuff.
Another awesome video with some cool aged tools! I find it funny that Mark's Mac Box matches the colour theme of the same buses he would work on! I have NO doubt that most of the people watching this video didn't even flinch when he said he polishes his box! (I would too if mine were that nice!) Please keep making videos! It was a pleasant surprise last night when I discovered you had a new one out!
awsome tour, super laid back fella and clearly has the hours in lol keep up the good work. Nothing like an epiq series snap on tour. did one on mine a few years back and should likely update it
I was a GM dealership tech from 1986 to 1996. A Matco dealer from 1996 to 2000 and a Snap on dealer from 2000 to 2004. I was amazed at the price of that Snap-on box. $16k for a empty box is bananas.
Very cool. Two questions I’d like to ask every tech: 1) Your shop is on fire and you can save *one* thing from the box. What do you go for? 2) The 4 trucks pull up outside and between em are carrying the full line of Snap-On, Mac, Matco, Cornwall and also Lisle, Knipex etc. You can buy 1 thing only. What do you want?
29:16 rebranded Bahco, great plier Made in Sweden. Have used mine everyday for 20.years, great quality. Nog adays SNA Group owns Bachco and the pliets are made in Spain and France. Great video great mecanic.
You have these mechanics that will buy tools and ones that’ll break or lose them and that’s the only time they’ll buy them, I’ve found the one guy I know would just make his own tools unless there sockets or certain wrench’s
It's obvious this gentleman takes great pride in his work. Do any of the dealerships give their employees a tool allowance if some type or it totally on their dime?
The power probe doesnt ground anything unless you push that switch.......i love mine even on modern cars and they do so much more than just supplying power or grounds.....and that means being able to read a wiring diagram.
Awesome tour. Fun fact, there are more unique 3 letter initials out there than there are 4 digit SSN tags. Also, stamping your SSN tag on equipment that people such as coworkers can see leaves you more vulnerable to identity theft. Stay safe!
@@travisjicorcoran5870 thanks for pointing that out, I think you are right and it feels good to learn something. But it is still insanely stupid to display part of your SSN in public.
Nice video man! Love ‘em. Do you have any plans to do a fire truck mechanic? I heard they suck to work on because they have IFS instead of straight axles lol. I’d love to see what they have to carry.
Very similar to this guy or any heavy diesel mechanic. They are multi plexed electrical systems that you plug a laptop in to program. And only some are ifs. Most ate straight beam axles.
I know the day will come when I have the same problem. That’s why every tool company has a online system for warranty. It’s no big deal. Also you can find another dealer and meet up with them for warranty.
22 in 2001 it's 2023 so that's 22 years even if it was 30 years of working on busses he would have been working on them at 14 years old. Math ain't mathin
What? He’s been working on buses for 33 years. The box he has now is 22 years old. What math are you talking about? How are you figuring out his age from all of this?
Jeremy! When am I commenting over the tool owners? I always try to have a little conversation with the techs, but I never want to talk over them. Do you have any time stamps of when I do this in this tour?
Should try to find somebody that has a service truck to do a tour of.
same thing i was thinking
It’s on the list!
I’m thinking Zeth at ZK Master tech. Someone like that.
I’m here to let you know that he probably has an outline of his entire channel for the year and has everything you want on his list to do.
Come tour mine
I appreciate that you're talking to real techs who use their tools
Glad you like it 👍
What impressed me most was seeing well used tools so well cared for. That gentleman knows the value of a dollar.
The pristine condition of that yellow mac at 22 years old is very impressive.
Best quote any mechanic can speak is “anything I buy, I buy to use it.”
I don't know how many times I've said that and I'm less than half his age. It resonated with me that people regardless of generation can have very similar outlooks on things if they do the same stuff.
Too often we see beautiful boxes full of lightly or barely used pristine tools.. nice to see toolboxes full of heavily used tools...👍
Amazing how much respect this guy have for his tools , definitely it’s show in his work
Keep finding old guys to tour! The well used patina speaks volumes!!
More school bus mechanic tours !!! Amazing
Props to this channel for bringing great tool content and for featuring all the hard working techs in the industry.
Thanks Corey!
After 38 years as a motorcycle mechanic, you've definitely got me beat in the chisel, punch, and "beat the hell out of something" bar department, but I have probably twice as many pliers. Some are tiny - but all are needed!😊
Liked just because the guy told me what a weatherhead socket does.
3/4 torque wrench...now THAT is a Nice One almost of comic dimension and Super Cool. Thanks for bringing it out!

Yeah definitely a down to earth guy. And yeah I couldn’t believe his box was that old either
The color and shine on those boxes is amazing.
I love that yellow box, you can tell this guy uses his tools
Yeah! And keeps his boxes nice and clean!
That burgundy color tool box is to die for and loved that yellow fly swatter a must if you ask me. Thanks for the tour guys. 👍
Another awesome tour, love seeing tools that have had a long life of use on em. That bus shop has been a gold mine. Keep up the great work man!
Yeah it was really cool to see classic logo snap-on tools that he bought new and still uses today!
How well used all his tools are and how clean the exterior of those boxes are say everything. When you were rubbing your hand on that burgundy paint I gaurantee his blood pressure was rising but he kept it cool. Especially after he said he just waxed it.
haha I didn't even think about that 😅

Owwww i finally have free time!🙌👏👀 thanks again for another wicked tour!
What an awesome setup. So much history in the tools.
Mark seems so awesome. Great looking snap on box. The yellow mac box was amazing too
Perfect box for a man that works on buses. Awesome!

That would be a heck of a tool box video in my opinion.

Bro, I love his MAC tool box color scheme! Really fits his job description well XD
Haha yeah very fitting

I’m not a mechanic, but I find this very interesting!
That is a beautiful box both look good this man takes care of his stuff

Yeah 16k for a regular 68. You should see the Snap-on EUV epic price 🤯.
nobody pays list prices
I am also a bus mechanic, this guy has a twisted idea of fun lol its deffinately a challenge from time to time.
That was fun to watch
dude this guy is awesome hes so wholesome
great tour as always, thank you for content.
Thanks for watching!
Great set up
Thanks for sharing.
Amazing how many vintage tools this guy has considering they're still in rotation in a professional shop.
super clean
Very cool.
Two questions I’d like to ask every tech:
1) Your shop is on fire and you can save *one* thing from the box. What do you go for?
2) The 4 trucks pull up outside and between em are carrying the full line of Snap-On, Mac, Matco, Cornwall and also Lisle, Knipex etc. You can buy 1 thing only. What do you want?
You want the second thing you would have grabbed from the shop that is on fire!
1. Nothing. Insurance will cover it and I have backups.
2. White Mac Macsimizer toolbox. I’ll buy one someday.
Good questions to ask the techs! I may have to implement them.
@markm0000 a white Mac would be sweet!
The MAC tool guy stopped coming around over here too! Gotta catch him when he is at lunch at a loal fast food joint if you see him. 😂
17:20 I have that set. It was a buy a set, get one free. Love them !
29:16 rebranded Bahco, great plier Made in Sweden. Have used mine everyday for 20.years, great quality. Nog adays SNA Group owns Bachco and the pliets are made in Spain and France. Great video great mecanic.
Nice set up Mark !
The top drawer in the epiq is amazing
It was!
Nice setup! Thanks for sharing
Awesome Video
this makes me want to do an update video on mine.... pretty curious what i have accumulated since lol
Like how you include the make, part number, and retail in your videos
I’m glad you like them. Thanks for watching!
Nice setup nice toolbox tour.
I love this channel

Great vid
Awesome set up thank you for posting.
Glad you enjoyed it
Very interesting! I am new to mechanical work I am 23 just started
Nice toolbox s. I have a cranberry SNAP-ON top and bottom i bought around 2000 and i love it great decision..
Tool box tours purely ASMR xD
The power probe doesnt ground anything unless you push that switch.......i love mine even on modern cars and they do so much more than just supplying power or grounds.....and that means being able to read a wiring diagram.
Great video as always. Keep it up 👍👍👍
Thanks ryan!
Come to NC I have two service trucks you can tour!!
If your ever in ny lmk. I got a massive tool collection.
Awesome tour. Fun fact, there are more unique 3 letter initials out there than there are 4 digit SSN tags. Also, stamping your SSN tag on equipment that people such as coworkers can see leaves you more vulnerable to identity theft. Stay safe!
This would be true / useful if names were evenly spread across initial letters, but in practice there are no people w the initials ZXZ
@@travisjicorcoran5870 thanks for pointing that out, I think you are right and it feels good to learn something.

Man I love the yellow box
Same here. And it’s amazing the condition it’s in.
Only problem with the yellow box is Gordon!!! Raise hell Praise Dale!!
Nice video man! Love ‘em. Do you have any plans to do a fire truck mechanic?

Wow it’s been a long time since he’s seen a Mac dealer because the still sell the metal socket holders those are the one that are USA made.
Wow!
Just come on to Tennessee got a guy in my shop you need to do a tour on
I’d love to see it! Send me some pics on instead @toolboxtours
I did employee number instead of last 4 of social 😁 same when I was in school
dangit, why didn't I ever think of connecting my extensions? lol
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Mac Box is older than me :D
I’d love to see a helicopter mechanics box
If I can find one!
*never stops
Anyone know what service trey he has? Looks like the SO/Bluepoint one.
very nice set up is it all pd for lol
Does he work for Snapon?
damn pops let me borrow one of those tools with your social on it
Niceeeee
It's unusual to see someone still using SAE.
Thats why i hate buying truck. The guy has so much to warranty since the truck stopped coming.
Yeah it’s unfortunate. Hopefully they get a MAC dealer in the area soon.

300million americans lots of people have the same last 4 digits
I recently told my wife that the 100$ a week will be perpetual.
Haha must have been a fun conversation
Ebbage
40k this tool box lol
