This man is an absolute genuine legend. I asked him for an autograph once after tracking him down online. He took a screenshot from his personal DVD copy of Lost Boys, signed it and then took it to the local post office himself posting it internationally without asking for a single penny. My respect for him has no bounds and I will never forget that wonderful gesture of kindness.
@@darkone8131 I first tried to find his agent's details but by chance on a long search came across a small fan club forum consisting of about ten people or so. I saw he had answered a few questions personally so sent him a message and asked how I could an autographed picture. He actually replied and we chatted for a bit back and forth and he sent it to me without any charge. This was around 2008? Social media wasn't really as prevalent as it is these days, so it was quite a challenge to find him.
This interview makes me like Tim even more. The song is obviously incredible, as is his performance, but he seems like such a genuinely decent and passionate guy, with not a bad word for anybody. I fully agree that a better vampire film will never be found. Lost boys forever!
Timmy seems like one of the nicest guys around. If i ever happened to meet him it would Be cool. He still is amazing vocally and TOTALLY still “has it”.
Mr Capello...you are the only one capable of making sax solos something mighty you can rock hard to. You sir have attained musical levels of awesome. I salute you. (Btw...everyone check out his album "blood on the reed". Dude's voice is smooth like the 80s and his sax keyboard and drum percussion work is kick ass).
Tim always seems to have a great attitude about his five minutes of major fame and a lifetime of being remembered. I don't know, he seems like a guy I'd enjoy having a few beers with at an American Legion type of bar. He's genuine and that's such a rare quality. Props to the guy for staying so cool.
A le voir avec notre Reine Tina Turner une bombe sur scène c est un Don qui lui a été donné cette force pour jouer c est comme Tina Turner chanter et danser la folie le génie
@@ezplayit It was very cool. He sings and plays sax over a track of the other instruments. He tells stories during the show and does a meet and greet as well after the show. He's a very nice guy and seems to genuinely love his fans. Great experience.
You can tell that he loves the movie & what he contributed to the movie exactly as much as he claims he does & sounds like he does. Pretty genuine dude it seems. Pretty happy it looks like too. Good for you Tim. Keep it up. 🤘🎷🧛♂️
Hr is absolutely correct about the soundtrack - All those different artists from everywhere, but it all gels on the album into one sound. One of the best soundtracks ever made
A movie as good as the Lost boys could never be made now. The era it was born out of was a special one for film. So much of what made movies of that time great either no longer exists or can no longer be done.
It would have been super awesome if Timmy Cappello turned out to be the head of the werewolves and was performing on the beach to run surveillance on the vampires.
I Still Believe!!!! Lost Boys fantastic soundtrack, and ONLY vampire movie soundtrack equally slammin' Queen Of Damned. Tim's right: nothin' better than GOOD vampire movie with great fitting soundtrack!!!!
🤩💪🤝👍💛💚💙 Abraços do Brasil!!!
I really love The Lost Boys. Just bought it here on TH-cam. It also the movie that inspired me most as a writer. Now, actually, if I ever want to cast a saxophone player in a vampire novel ...
For me.. I Still Believe is/has been and I see no reason why it should not be one of the best songs I have ever heard.. Because it is, in a very very tight top 2 list.

How did you manage to track him down online

Lovely story what a gentleman 👏
Awesome!
@darkone 81 He has a website, I remember finding it a few years ago, and in the site description, he thought that everybody forgot about him.
This man is the definition of "Keep that same energy." Dude looks amazing for his age and he has great energy.
Came here to say the same.👍
‘I still believe!’
He’s the only man in this world that still believes is why
This interview makes me like Tim even more. The song is obviously incredible, as is his performance, but he seems like such a genuinely decent and passionate guy, with not a bad word for anybody. I fully agree that a better vampire film will never be found. Lost boys forever!
I'm glad he's doing really well, and that he's looking honestly really good! For 66 he looks great!
Tim Capello is a musical monster.
If this guy would ever be a professor, EVERYBODY would be paying attention… that’s some amazing energy.
Timmy seems like one of the nicest guys around. If i ever happened to meet him it would Be cool. He still is amazing vocally and TOTALLY still “has it”.
Tim’s is one of the most legendary 80s performances.

He is so cool! A true sax symbol
Best sax playing l’ve ever heard and one of my absolute favourite movies of the 80s.
So saxy! 🎷
Kick ass classic scene. Timmy kicked ass on that movie.
Legend has it that Johnson and Johnson gives him a lifetime supply of baby oil
😭😭😭😭😭🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘 do you think he sounds a little like Trump ?
He actually has his own line of body oils :) Real talk.
I think P Diddy is the one with the life time supply ..😂
Diddy intercepted it and it’s why he’s indicted . At least this man put the oil to good use and not depravity
He's the main reason why I fell in love with the movie Lost boys I definitely would love to meet him one of these days

I'm going see Tim Cappello live here in Houston, Texas next Friday night.
How was it
Hey, Liquidmice9. Dave here from Buffalo, New York. How was Tim Cappello, live in Houston, Texas on Friday night?!
@@ezplayit It was very cool. He sings and plays sax over a track of the other instruments. He tells stories during the show and does a meet and greet as well after the show. He's a very nice guy and seems to genuinely love his fans. Great experience.
@@Liquidmice9 Awesome! Thanks for that.
Love this dude’s energy😁🤘🏼

I like his energy. And for his age, he's in great shape. Good for him.
Lost boys might be my fave vampire movie
It has to be no1
What a guy
I love this Dude and he is still looking amazing, The Lost Boys Sound track is one of my favourite records I own.
His few minutes in Lost Boys are eternally iconic!
I Still Believe is in my Forever Favorites playlist.

Thank You Tim for the memories 🙏 ❤️ still jamming this song till this day 2022 and probably beyond that
What a fucking legend, cheers Tim!
Anyone else rewind the part on the Lost Boys when Timmy was playing at night with his band until you wore the video out?
I can't be the ONLY ONE!
The man played PART of a song, someone else wrote, in a movie, and here we are in 2024, still talking about that moment. Dude is ICONIC!
Other than The Lost Boys, I dont know anything about this guy but he seems so rad! I still think about the boardwalk scene once a month!
Man, check him out playing with Tina. Such a legend. SOOOO talented.
He is a muscleman with a Saxophone and a Ponytail, that already makes him cool in my book.
this part of The Lost Boys is extraordinary
Legend.

I totally agree with Tim.. I haven't seen a better vampire movie since The Lost Boys.
Dude freakin nailed that song. Bought the soundtrack just for that song alone. Cry little sister was the icing.
this guy sounds genuinely kind and benevolent
This man is epic. I love him so much. Stop to read all these other comments.
The fact that he's still wearing that same get-up after all these years is best part of this!
It would have been super awesome if Timmy Cappello turned out to be the head of the werewolves and was performing on the beach to run surveillance on the vampires.
Brilliant !!
I remember in ‘87 you couldn’t find baby oil after this movie came out!
😂😂😂 stop
The goat himself love this song forever and ever🐐
The lost boys intro clip is a classic now every time i see a saxophone i think Tim :)
love this guys energy 😃
I Still Believe!!!! Lost Boys fantastic soundtrack, and ONLY vampire movie soundtrack equally slammin' Queen Of Damned. Tim's right: nothin' better than GOOD vampire movie with great fitting soundtrack!!!!
The most iconic song of the movie❤

Man this guy's chest is redder than my face when I hugged the wrong person as a kid and called them mom.
God, i miss the 80s
There never has been and never will be a better vampire movie than the great Lost Boys.
I’m begging God that they put I still believe into Stranger Things 5 🤘
He is so right.

For me.. I Still Believe is/has been and I see no reason why it should not be one of the best songs I have ever heard.. Because it is, in a very very tight top 2 list.
His look & his charisma reminds me of a wrestler !
Did Chris Farley ever do a spoof of this guy, would've been so perfect.
Family guy did, it was pretty funny.
No better vampire movie!!
"I'm a sucker for a vampire movie."
Pun intended ?
All I can say is... I STILL BELIEVE!
