The way I felt it, the Doomsday Cage match DID end Hulkamania, because of the disappearance of Hogan shortly after, until Bash at the Beach '96 where the infamous heel-turn took place.
This is the only time I don't blame Hogan for putting himself over. WCW itself gave Hulkster the power. Vince would never allow anyone on purpose to have creative control over him, Bret Hart being the exception due to his contract.
@@ArmandoOriz_ Brett was one of the best. But he had the personality of a wet paper towel and couldn't cut a promo to save his life. Flair is the goat..cause he's the coolest. Edit: I was kinda wrong on this Bret could cut a decent promo 👍
Tbh, Hogan's work in WCW > his work in WWF. I know, Vince helped build Hogan into the mega star he was, but then he went on to reinvent himself & literally skyrocketed wrestling to new heights never seen before or since. The NWO was seriously more influential than anything else, propelling wrestling into mainstream popularity for the first time ever. Instead of just "hicks" & "hillbillies," wrestling was now "cool" for everyone. Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, Hogan, Macho Man, Luger, Sting, DDP, Goldberg... really changed the landscape forever. WWF had their part in it, but NWO transcended the wrestling business far more.
On day one of Bockwinkel as Comish, he and Heenan were sat together in commentary and Heenan was trying to bring up the good old days but Bocky was being a good boy - "Yes, we had our time together."
Just my opinion.. But I believe there is a huge difference in Hulk Hogan's Hulking Up and no selling another wrestlers moves. Hulking Up was part of his huge heroic comeback after taking a beating no normal human being could survive. No selling a move is commonly done when a wrestler has a real problem with the other wrestler. It's done out of spite and usually isn't part of the plan. Example: Sid Vicious vs. Hercules..
I truly dislike this era of Hogan’s career (and it doesn’t stop here) - his utter *refusal* to lose clean cements for me his desire not to advance the business by occasionally putting other talent over, but to advance his own ego and selfish desire for win after win. The point of a baby face is to be beaten down, lose some matches and get their revenge at the ppv- but Hogan never allowed this to happen. The so-called Alliance to End Hulkamania was clearly created to be the dastardly heals for Hogan to slay and it was pathetic. Hogan is nothing but an overrated egomaniac who used his ‘creative control’ along with the word ‘brother’ to turn wcw into his own personal playground. This series of videos is great - take nothing away from Wrestling Bios - I just despise that manipulative petulant politician Hulk Hogan

Great Video like always !!!
I think HULK HOGAN did very well in the WCW. ;-)
100k suscribers will soon come, fully deserved too.
The way I felt it, the Doomsday Cage match DID end Hulkamania, because of the disappearance of Hogan shortly after, until Bash at the Beach '96 where the infamous heel-turn took place.
I do love these covers.
Unbelievable your content! I was in Frankfurt 94! ✌🏼 💪🏼
Bulk Blogan was cool!
Notification gang! Hope you’re feeling better! 😊😊
I made it through! Thanks Alicia :)
James Tamburo hello
all of this was on free tv back in the days here in germany. yes even the PPV's!
Were I live it was like that for the Attitude Era. But with a 6 month delay 😅
Hogan : no sells vader bomb
Vader: no sells hogans leg drop
Vader : almost fired
This is the only time I don't blame Hogan for putting himself over. WCW itself gave Hulkster the power. Vince would never allow anyone on purpose to have creative control over him, Bret Hart being the exception due to his contract.
Anybody noticed hogan's yellow was a little more darker in wcw and his red was a little more burgundy??
I love how Hogan acted like he "missed wrestling" lol. P.s Flair is the goat because he rarely had a problem putting someone over
It's well known and documented Hogan and Flair both acknowledge each other as the "greatest."
@@euroamerican5189 ....Hogan was a scumbag tho
Hogan the 🐐
Bret is the GOAT
Flair did same stuff... EVERY match
@@ArmandoOriz_ Brett was one of the best. But he had the personality of a wet paper towel and couldn't cut a promo to save his life. Flair is the goat..cause he's the coolest.
Edit: I was kinda wrong on this Bret could cut a decent promo 👍
Whooooooo HELL YEAH HULKAMANIA 4 EVER
You brought back the good intro. See how easy it is to do, NWA Powerrr? You can do it, too...
Funny how Nick Bockwinkel was the Commissioner of WCW when Hogan was there cause they had their battles for the AWA belt years earlier.
On day one of Bockwinkel as Comish, he and Heenan were sat together in commentary and Heenan was trying to bring up the good old days but Bocky was being a good boy - "Yes, we had our time together."
Engagement post. Love the videos.
Great video
You do such a great job mad love broooo
Wish WCW 1994 wasn't missing a lot on the network, Saturday Night ends early 1994 before Hogan, I enjoy watching the shows leading into ppvs
I hated Hulk Hogan... But it's a wrestling bios video so I watch it and give it a like.
