Hi just found you 🤗I’ve just bought this book and as it’s it’s written by an American lady I since thought it wouldn’t be written with English style crochet. It’s not is it? I’m a beginner.
You would have to either check in the book if it’s says it’s allowed or you could contact the artist and ask? It’s such a great book- I’ve used it loads! ❤️
I’m so glad I found this video and your page! 🥰 I’m a beginner crocheter and have only been at it for around a month, I’ve made a couple of things which have turned out good following a video, I bought this book as I was instantly drawn to the rainbow cuteness! As I’ve gotten round to learning to read patterns somebody has told me these are American term patterns, os this the case?
Yes this book is in American terms (most books these days are now). If you need to adjust and have learned using UK terms just decrease the stitch- for example, a US sc is the same as a UK dc. Then the US dc is the same as a UK trc. Hope this helps! I’ve always used US terms as that’s how I learned ❤️
@@starlightandstitches thank you so much for the tips! I feel like it’s given me a bump in the road trying to learn 🙈 I’m going to keep trying though! I hope I become even half as talented as you are 🥰
Oh bless your heart! That is so sweet. Everything I learned I got from TH-cam and the internet- we are so lucky to have access to all these wonderful teachers and creators 🥰 i can’t wait to hear how you progress on your crochet journey ❤️
@@starlightandstitches aw thank you! I’m hoping to do well but take it as it comes, I’m Planning to go through lots of your videos, do you recommend any TH-cam crotcheters to watch on TH-cam that may help? My recent octopus is watching from the corner of my living room to inspire me! ❤️
When I started I watched a few channels- I learnt granny squares from Jayda in stitches th-cam.com/video/O_5nIpXg8OM/w-d-xo.html(she is lovely and bubbly and fun!), I got my basic sc & dc stitches done with this one- th-cam.com/video/rXQvufVGCoQ/w-d-xo.html by B.hooked, more advanced stitches for blankets and tops I got mostly through bag o day crochet th-cam.com/users/BAGODAYCROCHETMORE And some easy Amigurumi patterns I started with hooked by Robin (this video is easy to follow and super cute-) th-cam.com/video/oQLGPt60Hq8/w-d-xo.html There are so so many, too many to mention, but these were great starting points for me! I also loved this Amigurumi dragon by Ami Amour th-cam.com/video/LMHTzzP-ZFs/w-d-xo.html She does loads of really cute and easy to follow videos!

Love the book. How do I know if an author will allow me to sell products made from their book’s patterns?

Stars can actually be "blue" (cyanish), white, yellow, orange, red or "brown" (very dim, IR)
In Alice land all stars are yellow because that’s my favourite!! As you can see I don’t exactly go for realism in my world haha!! 😄
I always pair purple with yellow… maybe I’ve spent too long playing Spryo….
Nice vibes!!! 🥰
