    How cute they all are! Thank you for sharing. 💕I can see tiny stitches better in brighter light too. The flower is really sweet.

    How cute!! Really like the reverse colors on the 🌼 flower, stands out. My opinion, small cylinder legs, arms, noses, Etc Get easier the more you do. I have used foam curlers(from the dollar tree), pipe cleaners to help with floppy areas but never thought of a straw. Thanks for the tip. Also used plastic canvas in stuffies feet, stand freely. Have a great day.

    Love your little cloud and flower. The little cloud is adorable. Such a shame about the difficulty with the legs. Hope your daughter loves her new flower. Happy binge watching. Take care.

    Thanks for the book review and the amigurumi tips! After a few decades of just regular crochet projects, I am starting to learn how to do amigurumi and I am slightly obsessed . I have had my eye on that book but I didn't want to spend the money on it because I wasn't sure I could do the patterns yet, but after seeing your cloud and flower I think I can do those. I added it to my ever growing ami book wish list. I really look forward to your videos! Thanks for sharing your time and talents with us!

    Just a hint that I have used occasionally on those small tubes- stuffing a straw or eraser end of a pencil into the tube seemed to help to hold the stitches and make them more visable! Love your videos!

    Thank you Summer, for sharing your book and makes, I think that they are super cute. The cloud and rain drop & rainbow would look really cute for a baby mobile, if their is a baby for a baby shower gift, just add a few more of the clouds or rain drops. I love your idea about the plastic canvas, I am going to use that now on most of my projects and the heavy duty straw such wonderful ideas, that I never thought of. I am subscribed to John boy as well. He gives me a good laugh which I need. Have a wonderful day.

    You're cloud and flower are super cute. You did an awesome job on them. If you make that cake maybe you can make it a special thing for the student with a birthday to get to have at their desk all day. Thanks for always sharing the details. I love that you always tell us the yarn and opinions on them etc. I think red heart is scratchy too that's why I never use it but I can see how that might make it stand up better in amigurumi too. I'm not gonna lie. I've been bringing your earlier videos because I miss your vlogging. 😊

    I love making amigurumi, but those tiny rounds are definitely not easy. I think you did a great job on both of them 🤗. And I personally like how you did the flower with yellow in the middle. You can see the face detail better 😊

    Summer, tip for making those tiny legs, use your neck light. I have to use mine whenever I work with a darker yarn. LOL

  • @karenrobinson2557
    @karenrobinson2557 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I also understand the difficulty in stitching small rounds with very dark colours. Truly not easy. And small rounds are always hard- I have found if I follow and stitch by only looking at the outside of the loops it helps a lot and I always use removable stitch markers. For stability I cut from pool noodles a lot so the toys are safe and washable.

    Love your items, I used a stiff wire for a flower I made, your straw looks like it worked out very well! I don't like making skinny legs either LOL.

    So cute💖 I have definitely found that a smaller hook works better on small circumference tubes. Now that you know how the legs are constructed maybe you can decrease less. If you keep the same hook size, maybe go down to 8-10 stitches instead of 6. And possibly switch to a lighter color for the legs?

  • @amymckeever2736
    @amymckeever2736 ปีที่แล้ว

    I can totally relate on the difficulty of small tubes like the cloud's legs. I make a caterpillar that calls for 4sc rounds to make the antennae - in black yarn! I use an OttLite anytime I make that one or other similar small pieces (I have scar tissue on one of my eyes which can make certain things difficult to see). I also tend to gravitate to blanket yarn these days for a lot of my amigurumi making. Your 2 amis turned out great! After you shared this book the first time in a previous video, I requested it as a collection addition at my local library. They put an order in for it, and I'm so excited for it to arrive!

    Your projects are cute. The cloud looks fine on increases and decreases. Clouds are not exactly symmetrical anyway.

    John Boy hasn't been on too long. He is really something. The cloud is awfully cute. I sure appreciate your tips with the straw and plastic canvas fillers! My opinion, make your own legs that work for you. Thanks Summer.

    Hi, Summer. Why not make the amigurumi and leave the legs off? Kawaii type amigurumi doesn't have legs usually and they turn out adorable.
