my fave patterns are definitely the kitsune and the selkie!! so pretty. and amazing to see so many artists from around the world in a single book, all incredible designers!!

Hello lovely Alice!!!! Sorry, your hay fever is acting up! I completely understand! I do absolutely love this book and have been eyeing it since I saw it on pre-order!! I am on the same page as Abigail! I love the reaper and the selkie!!! The reaper reminds me of Jack Skellington!! You both should watch the movie The Song of the Sea!!! It's a kids movie with selkies! One of my favorites! I hope you both have a wonderful week! Hugs!!! ❤❤

I have just made Morgana, she is beautiful , I gave her dark brown hair.the body was in 4 ply and her skin in 8 ply but I used my usual 3.5mm hook instead of the suggested 2.5mm which gave the perfect fit.

yes it was easy enough, with some new techniques . I was thrown by the two different weight yarns used so I started with my usual DK and 3.5mm hook. The girl came out nice and large and I kept going on her skin with the same yarn, but it was not going to fit. I then made her in 4 ply cotton, nice and petite and she fitted into the skin. If I had used the 2.5 hook they recommend I think it would have been too small.
Hi Alice, thanks for the video. I have to say, I think this is the best book so far and my favourite character has to be Hector the Cyclops. Maybe, in the New Year, I will think about adding this to my collection, I'm working on the Pokemon book at the minute, I have to admit, it's taken me a bit to get used to the strange way the patterns are written. In over 40 years of crocheting, I've never seen anything written like this and I emailed the printer to ask if there has been any amendments made to the book because Charizard's head hasn't come out right, but no reply so far, think I will just have to wing it, lol. xx
PS, I much prefer it when you review books that don't take my fancy

Is it the first Pokémon book you’re currently on? The patterns are written in a very peculiar way- loads of people have struggled with it. So you’re not on your own there. Xx
@@starlightandstitches, yeah, my wish list grows with almost each book review you do🤣🤣 It's the first book, but I've got both books coz my lot are Pokemon fans. Once you figure out how they are written, you can get going with them, but once I got Charizard's snout done, I followed the increases for his forehead and as I was getting towards the end of the head, I realised that he has a bulging cheek and flat forehead. The increases are obviously not where they need to be (believe me, I've double, triple and quadruple checked that I followed the pattern exactly, lol) I've waited a few days for a reply from them and nothing, time for me to just wing it and play around until I'm happy with it. Fingers crossed it's just this one because the others that I've done have been ok!
Once these are finished, I'm going to do some stuff on the circular knitting machines to give my hands a break, crocheting amigurumi and arthritis do not go well together, lol. Do you think we would be rich if we weren't addicted to yarn arts? xxx (Barbara)

I still havnt!! But I’ll try to make one soon- my trouble is choosing which one to make first and then I end up wasting so much time because I can’t decide that I don’t do any of them 😄
Orion the chimera is a precious cub and i NEED him!!! i really enjoy the book reviews it very nice to see what's in the contents. i know you don't want to show the patterns but if there are more 360 views of the final pieces, could you put them in as well? some time the front doesn't really tell that much or give enough info to deicide on making it or not.
